What classbuild are you thinking about or have decided on?

Post » Wed Mar 05, 2014 8:30 am

One thing I found incredibly unique in this game is the amount of versatility each class CAN have with all the different types of builds and even morphs that a player can pick. I find this both a great thing and a bad thing, and the only reason why I think it's a bad thing is because it makes my decision on what to play or how to build my character that much more difficult.

It's almost to the point of my first class and build selection is stressing me out.

So the question is, have you decided on a class/build or are you still trying to figure this out? If you're decided, what class/build are you going with at launch?

absolutely have no clue. I am an alt-o-holic on top of it. I think I am leaning toward either a sorc or nightblade to start.

I'm still trying to figure it out but I've got an idea on how I want to build my character.

its hard to come with something certain since depending on the situation youll change stuff and try new stuff.

I wanna be an Altmer (since i love them) and i want to be a dragonknight because the abilities were so good looking. Thats about it. Im waiting to see the whip, inferno, petrify, werewolf, mage guild meteor etc. before making a final build.

Yea I was thinking of a sorc or NB as well. I normally play "rogue-type" classes in MMO's but I love how the sorceror is in this game with the summoning of minions. It's brilliant.

I have no idea. Sadly, I've gotten spoiled with the character planner with DDO to mess with theory builds before I play.

I really want to make a stealth archer (I don't mind a slower paced play), but the one I built didn't feel solid. Granted she was only level 7, but she felt mismatched.

I forsee tons of atls before I get to my main.

Breton sorcerer with bow and twohanded weapon, mix of light and medium armor.

Redguard nightblade with onehanded and shield and resto staff, mix of heavy and medium armor, magicka regen enchants most likely.

More still to be determined.

Joe, I am the same way. I normally jump straight to the rogue class but sorcerers looks soooo fun on this game. Might try it first before perfecting my rogue / assassin

Yea I feel like there are some "optimal builds" and some builds that aren't so great. The key is finding them out and seeing what works well.

I will focus on 2 handed for both PVP and PVE

Bow for PVP

And sword and shield for some tanking in PVE

Assuming I can get enough skill points to unlock them all :D

In past games I've always tried to think outside of the box and try new builds; and here where that seems more viable than ever, I'm actually going to do something very safe and standard; I'm going to be a straight up daggers and bow Nightblade Vampire. I'll probably be one of millions, but I don't mind. Being unique is overrated; having fun isn't.

Having already decided on being a Vampire as soon as they were announced, I can now choose the body detail that has the two fanged bite mark on the neck; give her some cliché eyeliner and bright yellow eyes, pale skin and dark hair; done! I'm adhering to as many cliché stereotypes as possible.

Nice. =) I pretty much feel like a bow swap is needed for all PVP'ers just to be able to compete well (unless you have ranged magic).

When can we become Vampires? Is there a certain level? Is it a quest line?

Dominion Orsimer Dragonknight Mage

Yes, you just need 2 different weapons (ideally tailored to the types of attacks you'll be doing with the alternate action bar).

I will probably make a sorcerer as I loving casting pet classes however the pets felt underpowered in PVP and useless in boss fights in dungeons. I enjoyed playing the High Elf I played in the most recent betas and enjoyed it. I will also be making a tank type character. I enjoyed the Orc I made in the most recent beta but only got to level 9 and want to try it at higher levels. I will probably make the tank an Imperial since I paid for it :D but am also considering an Orc, but may use that race for a two-handed dps type character. I have not had a chance to try Templar much (made a healing caster but doesn't solo well and only got to level 6) and have not tried Nightblade yet at all. I will probably make a bunch of different characters to try different weapon types out and stuff as I tend to make a lot of characters in games I have played prior to this one.

Going with sorcerer archer. I was going back and forth between Breton Bosmer and Imperial, but I think I'll stick with my original plan of Breton in Daggerfall Covenant. That's not 100% though.

Still uncertain on my swap weapon. I haven't even eliminated any.

Not sure where, but I know you can be a werewolf or a vampire, if you so choose. You can check out their skills here; http://esohead.com/skills?line=51

I'm guessing the downside is that you will be flagged as undead, like in previous Elder Scrolls games, meaning people who have invested in the Fighters Guild perks will do bonus damage against you. Meh, still rolling one.
