What combat style will you use?

So many combat styles to choose from. If you want to specify what you're going to use, feel free to post it in the comments.

I voted for Spell and Blade, because thats what I'd use.

As for what I can't wait to try out. Paralyze and drain health. That sounds like so much fun. :P

Not on the list, but stealth, a bow (high quality/enchanted/poisoned) and arrows (high quality/enchanted), and conjured minions, with a back-up blade (high quality/enchanted/poisoned) for close encounters, usually works for me.

Sword and shield with a bit of spell slinging for my first character. But I'll probably have several characters who each have their own style. As it is with each TES game .

Ill be using a bow and arrow most of the time, and when stealth breaks, Ill have blade and spell to switch to, the spell will either be a healing spell, a destruction spell, or a shield spell,(since I cant block with a one handed spell any more <_< ).

I'll probably start off mainly magic with a sword or staff.

We're missing options for wands and staves.

I'll experiment with

2-handed spells
spell shield
spell sword
spell axe
spell mace

I also hope that you can use a torch in this one as a crappy club with minor fire damage. Would really be cool imo.

Axe and spell for me, not sure why. Just have the mental image of my Khajiit preferring an axe. Cooler looking than a sword, and you still get that satisfying slicing sound that a mace simply can not produce.

However, if they had flails like they had in TES I: Arena.....

Definitely. Torches should be small staves with fire damage on touch.

Sword+Spell, might go Dual Spells or a Two-Handed Blade if the situation calls for it.

I'm going all out like I usually do. Offensive and Defensive magic, Dual wield swords(yay), Daggers and Two handed . I usually play a stealth character with at least two pieces of heavy armor and the rest light backed up by Restoration buffs and ranged Destruction magic. I also throw some Conjuration in there with Morrowind but summons weren't really worth it in Oblivion..

Is there a particular reason why the bow can't be combined with anything else? I don't plan on JUST using the bow.

You can vote on multiple ones. This isn't a choose only one answer poll.

My Nord will be from a hunting and woodsman background. Growing up he will have been taught the use of the bow, the axe, and the knife.

So, for the first few levels, I will either use the bow from a stealth perspective, or if I must fight close up, the short blade or axe. As I get drawn into the perilous country and realize that my future is taking me away from what I thought my profession would be, I will incorporate a shield and a helmet. As I start to realize that my destiny is as much tied to the ways of a warrior as a hunter, I will reluctantly start wearing armor although I will restrict myself to leather unless a nice chain hauberk comes along. :-)

In short, archer and sword/axe + board, lightly or even unarmored.

I will be axing as much as possible. Flames in one hand, axe in the other, charging full-force at anything I see.

Sneakiness is overrated.

My natural style tends to be a mage/battlemage style, so Magic+anything for me.

Torches are confirmed as weapons, so I'm definitely trying dual wielding them at some point
