What could be in the Limited Editions?

Post » Mon Dec 14, 2009 4:59 am

An authentic Nordic flask or flagon with the dragon symbol carved into it would be a cool unique item to add to it. An art book with exclusive screenshots of characters, locations and unique areas in skyrim with concept art. Maybe a making of DVD included as well.

Ahhh I want skyrim now!!! :P

Does that come filled with Nordic Whiskey, aka "Rotgut"? :foodndrink:
Here's some things I want to see them to include (one or all)
1. Entire map of Tamriel with every major city and small town included. (Arena style but updated to modern lore)
2. An art book with unique pictures of areas, concept art, and various pictures of complete sets of armor and weapons.
3. Some kind of unique collectible. (maybe a metal figurine of a tamrielic dragon?)
4. A making of DVD.
5. Cool case surrounded by complete mural.
6. The new and improved Imperial Pocket guide.

Idk how I forgot about this, that was my favorite part of the Oblivion CE.. I remember back in high school I used it in a presentation for art class showing what they do in game development.

3 Making of DVD or Blu-Ray
4 Art book including a retrospective (arts from Arena till Skyrim)
5 New Empire pocket guide is an awesome idea from the guy up there
6 Map Poster and stuff like that
7 more things cause theres never enought

I would like a full sized map of Nirn. An art book would be nice but not important. Nothing silly like Night vision goggles or a Jack in the Box.

A metal pendant of the silver Akavir symbol would be cool.

Yes yes yes yes yes.

Also
  • A map of Tamriel, preferably cloth. If not cloth then I expect significantly more detail on the map (and colour!)
  • A Skyrim pocket book guide. It would be nice to have all of the obscure lore around Skyrim's pantheon cleared up by the men at BGS themselves
  • High quality case. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://ui23.gamespot.com/790/xbox360perfectdarkzero25_2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.gamespot.com/users/jesus_knight/view_image%3Fid%3Da45bt0ly7hqa7BHj&usg=__-ibY2tkbIKevuzMW69mOWnGM60c=&h=375&w=500&sz=42&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=eaCm-MZdgBuYHM:&tbnh=141&tbnw=214&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dperfect%2Bdark%2Bzero%2Blimited%2Bedition%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D909%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=146&vpy=397&dur=257&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=160&ty=72&ei=eUsNTfrQKMa1hAfzuPm3Dg&oei=eUsNTfrQKMa1hAfzuPm3Dg&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=31&ved=1t:429,r:12,s:0
  • A better making of DVD
  • A poster. Two, even!

I don't want to see any in game content in the CE, even though I will be buying it. Withholding content for the CE is extortion for those completionists out there (and there are a lot of completionist gamers) who feel that they wouldn't be getting the whole game if they didn't buy the CE. That's not fair on the people who don't want the merchandise! I boycotted Fable 3's CE out of disgust for this business practice (very glad I did now actually...), and [censored] it BGS if you sink to that level then I'll have to be stricter with myself come TES:VI.

And another thing that annoys me about super ultimate prestige collector's editions: the fecking massive boxes just to fit in a figurine. I only buy the CEs of my favourite franchises and by Jove I want them to be on my shelf and not in a cupboard somewhere where I have room to keep them! By all means manufacture a figurine or mural or whatever ZeniMax thinks will turn the most profit, but sell it separately! People who want the figurine will buy the figurine. If people aren't buying the figurines then they shouldn't be manufactured in the first place, let alone included in every CE pushing the price depressingly high.

I hope if they dont end up coming out with a special edition, which is highly unlikely, but if they dont come out with one I at least want a colorful map that comes with all editions so I can hang it up next to my Morrowind and Oblivion maps. I would like something trinkety like a lot of people have been saying rings, pendants, that sort of stuff.

Edit: hopefully we dont have to wait extra long for the collectors edition like Oblivion...did they have to wait longer than normal release for that? I dont remember, I dont think I ever saw it stores until just a year or 2 ago.

A [censored] ridable dragon.

Impractical...can you imagine the shipping on a dragon?

So let's settle for a dragon egg that we can hatch at home ourselves and raise to ridable size . :D

EDIT: And no in-game crap...let everyone buy the complete game without paying extra, tyvm.

I would buy it no matter what with no matter the price considering i am saven up for it now, tho I just hope they give us details or a retail price on the biggest BEST edition they make for it to GIVE US TIME to start saven up for it, I hate it when they do something like a month from release n it will cost us $40 more-__-

But ya I just want
Artbook
OST (f they will)
Maken of DVD
Figure/statue
Some sort of Replica item that they won't get sued over
Game (duh!)

If they include all that it will get my money for sure depending on detail and size of figure/statue...

I would definately buy a limited or collectors edition of this game. Would probably include some sort of in-game content like some day one DLC or something, most likely a artbook and a awesome game case/package like most limite editions do. I would love to see something physical like the septim in the oblivion collectors edition. Whatever it is I am 90% likely to buy it unless it is summit [censored]e like the call of duty prestige editions. Wouldnt buy it if it was over £90, ill spend some Game reward card points to lower it down to £50 or summit ;)

Making of
Soudntrack
Artbook
Akavir Pendant (almost like a dogtag, but according to TES lroe obviosuly)
Awesome box art
Cloth Map

Would love if the case was like the wall from the trailer (made in some kind of metal of course - usually steel).

As long as there is some collectable, I'll be happy. I have my Orator from Morrowind and my coin from Oblivion so there has to be a collectable for Skyrim to continue my collection.

If they do have something on the level of a legendary edition like for halo and fallout 3 for that matter, I will certainly buy it. I want a action figure of Tiber Septim done by McFarlane toys.

If this happens expect to pay quite a few sheckles for it man, that'll be just a bit much for me. Something like they did for Oblivion would suffice, except maybe with a nicer map, clothe one maybe.

A real life adoring fan, cloned and mass produced for LE Skyrim.

Anytime you leave him anywhere he'd get all "by azura by azura!!!!...." on you. He'd probably light a torch in your car right at sunset if you were driving around with him and my guess is... he'd take pictures of you while you slept. the great thing is if you got tired of him you could just shove him off of a cliff or shoot him in the face and you wouldn't see him for three days, no police or anything!

What do you mean, it′s actually profitable, not only can the dragon fly itself around so no shipping cost for it, but they can make the dragons carry the rest of the collectors edition stuff themselves! Win win :D

Anyway I′d like a lore book, not only one that tells the events that have happened but one that describes each race in detail and their habitats and just everything, I wanna be able to sink myself into a 12.000+ pages long lore book.

I would completely pay like 250 dollars if there was a replica of the wall or a statue of the Dragon and Dovakiin fighting or something similar. I also would really like an art book, something with a cool cover and nice illustrations like the codex that came with the ACB European LE. And the complete works of elder scrolls that someone mentioned previously, a hard bound compilation of all the lore of the Elder Scrolls alone would be worth the extra money. Of course I would like the soundtrack and making of stuff.
Then there are the things I would expect in either a reg edition or a CE, such as the map and the construction set.
Either way, as soon as it is announced, no matter what is in it, I am pre ordering the LE. :D I would think that in a year I could easily have it paid off.
