What could be in the Limited Editions?

Post » Mon Dec 14, 2009 1:38 am

Just seeing if anyone else hopes there will be a limited edition version of the game with some cool swag like the Oblivion collectors edition which I'm told came with a replica of a septim, a "making of" DVD, and the case art looked freakin cool. I hope Skyrim will have something along these lines. I won't be expecting statues like Halo Reach or anything, but I would pre-order and buy whatever limited edition they come out with, if they do, that is.

If they do have something on the level of a legendary edition like for halo and fallout 3 for that matter, I will certainly buy it. I want a action figure of Tiber Septim done by McFarlane toys.

A metal pendant of the silver Akavir symbol would be cool. And an artbook would be worth paying significantly more for.

Something awesome for the Limited edition would be an A3 sized replica of the wall carving in the teaser trailer. Something you can hang on your wall over your tv or computer.

Or you know, a legion helm or something. OR AND ORDINATOR HELM :o

I just Nerdgasmed.

EDIT: Or a replica of the amulet of Kings. That would have been an obvious thing to include with the oblivion limited edition copy.

A cardboard fold out map of Tamriel and other lands. Be nice to frame it up on a wall.

Oblivion optional.

Silly question - (Is it possible to map the realms of oblivion?)

Well, regardless of what is in the CE, I want a CE that contains as much as the Witcher 2 CE. That is one damn good CE.

as stated above, a pendant/keychain would be top notch!
maybe the "bigger/badder" edition's box is the wall from the trailer .. dont know, would be cool..

with halo the "bigger/badder" edition is called Legendary
with call of duty Prestige

and so on ... what do you think they're gonna name (if released) the big one???

I like "The Imperial Edition"

Dragonborn Edition?

And I like the idea of a metal pendant of the silver Akavir symbol. Maybe a nice map, sizeable to hang on the wall.

I still got all my stuff from the Oblivion CE... I use the septim coin at poker games for a card protector

Here's some things I want to see them to include (one or all)
1. Entire map of Tamriel with every major city and small town included. (Arena style but updated to modern lore)
2. An art book with unique pictures of areas, concept art, and various pictures of complete sets of armor and weapons.
3. Some kind of unique collectible. (maybe a metal figurine of a tamrielic dragon?)
4. A making of DVD.
5. Cool case surrounded by complete mural.
6. The new and improved Imperial Pocket guide.

Why didn't I think of this - a dragon miniature would be perfect!

I want the motherload this time... I am looking for the Complete Works of Tamriel, a comprehensive hard cover book containing all of the in-game books from all of the past TES games as well as pocket guides and evolving maps (i.e. the maps from Arena through Skyrim).

If they came out with a CE that cost $250 - hell, $350, I'd pay for it. It won't happen - I've never seen it, for good reason - but this is one game I have no restraint for. I am literally obsessed. And I don't care.

So yeah, bring on the awesome CE. Whatever it is, I'm buying.

Yes, It has been done before. But the planes of Oblivion are ever changing to suit the whims of their Daedric Princes, so it would be redundant to make a map of something that is not absolute.

How about a nice, thick, spiral bound book that contains the lore, legends, useful game tips, drawing of weapons, good examples of how to build a character, etc. instead of a flimsy little video game instructions packet. Think Baldur's Gate style.

You know, something more practical than a Thneed

An authentic Nordic flask or flagon with the dragon symbol carved into it would be a cool unique item to add to it. An art book with exclusive screenshots of characters, locations and unique areas in skyrim with concept art. Maybe a making of DVD included as well.

Ahhh I want skyrim now!!! :P

A miniature pewter model, similar to morrowind's Ordinator, would be nice.

Some kind of Nordic Warrior, with a battle axe impaled into a skull...

Naw, I actually loved Oblivion's Septim (too bad I only got the standard edition :(), and would love to see something like that again. Perhaps some kind of Skyrim specific currency? Or a Dwemer coin?

I think it would come with.

1. Making Of Video

2. Colored map of Tamriel and Skyrim with major cities

3. A little bear or wolf figurine or an animal known in the province

4. A book with concept art.

5. A copy of the black horse courier following up the inncident of oblivion.

And if you preorder it from a certain place you get a code for cabin in the woods with your own animal of burdan to keep your essentials in.

I think that fits well.
