It's set around Las Vegas, it's called Fallout 4: New Vegas.

New Vegas is not even being made by Beth.Obsidian is making it.Some of them were the original fallout devs.F4 has not even been announced.

I guess it could be made to work, but there's no real reason for it, is there? Plenty of ground to still cover in the US of A.

Not only that, but all the lore is based around the US, we don't really know much about what happened outside of the US aside from the basic 'everything is destroyed, Europe dissolved into quarreling, bickering nations states, continents were swallowed by the oceans' and so on, so making a Fallout game outside of the US is possible, but could be a big step away from the 50s themes that are present in the US. That could ruin it for me.

the world doesn't evolve around us. if it did then it wouldn't be for long as our idiot's in our government will bankrupt our country.

The Fallout world DOES revolve around us...the entire premise of the backstory is uniquely American, and the idiot government bankrupting the country and destroying it is in the game as well....your blatent politics notwithstanding.

Well... technically...

the US's Media has far-reaching effects on the world. Also, if our economy dips, eveyone feels it (remember the still-ongoing cedit crisis?) Not to mention that the UN would fail without US support (they attempted to make a UN after WWI ended. It shriveled up when the USA wouldn't sign up; I have no doubt that it would happen to the UN as well.) No other nation is looking to the skies to search for civilization-ending metors, and have the capability to do something about it. US Currency, while devalued, is still pretty prized around the world. Corporations that started in the US have expanded worldwide (Starbucks, Firestone, McDonalds.)

Pretty much, the world does revolve around the US until some other nation's influce surpasses our own. And a lot of people are expecting it to be China...

I want it to be in Canada Toronto. They can put in the CN Tower, or Niagara Falls it would mostly be a very rural area. Which i like. Cause I hated going throw DC in Fallout 3. It was too confusing with the metro tunnels.

Stockholm, Sweden. I always wanted to visit the ruins of my Capital. Maybe stroll down to the Royal Library and loot some. Then walk over the The Globe and laugh at it.

Yeah the codex gigas would look great on my coffe table, or it could be my new coffee table.

The UK, I want to see ghoul gaurds gaurding the palace, plus it would be harder to survive as it is harsher in the UK as moriarty and tenpenny left for the CW. Ireland as an expansion pack. And radiotion would be worse as there would be irradiated water everywhere because of the rain.

South/Eastern US would be kinda cool too, like Louisiana with all the swamps and cajun culture or New Orleans would be interesting, better for DLC's though, i'd probably still rather play something with a memorable downtown area like NY.

Detroit would also make a good DLC it could be kind of like the Pitt in F3 haha

They might do an area near their HQ again I mean F3 was based on the DC area, and Bethesda's HQ is RIGHT there (I google'd it to see how actually close they are to the DC area so it made sense for them to base the game around an area they know really well). We'd have to wait and see who's going to develop F4 though. BTW Obsidian's HQ is in southern California.

If they were to have Fallout 4 in a Fallout 1/2 format, then I think that the Soviet Union would be a doable, and potentially interesting place to explore.

You wonder why people say it over and over, and we tell you: This isn't some generic PA game. The entire premise is based on the post World War II AMERICAN mythos that science and hard work can solve every problem, and that idealistic attitude was so counter to the reality of the situation that it was laughable. This is uniquely American. Just about every other place in the world after WW II was full of war weary people looking at all they had to rebuild, and worried that yet another war was really going to destroy the world.

Now a generic "The world is destroyed by and we need to find a way to survive" game could have anywhere in the world as a backdrop, but again, Fallout _IS NOT_ a generic PA game.

I think it would be interesting to have a series of games exploring a PA landscape through the lens of various cultures, and seeing how different they would be. But again, they wouldn't...couldn't be Fallout.
