What Country Should FO4 Be In?

Post » Sun Oct 10, 2010 6:19 am

Hmm, well I would like it to be somewhere lke England, in Cent or somewhere in the country side, and Vault 74 has just ran out of power, you the Vault Dweler has been send a mission to go out and find a new power console, but in doing so, an attack of Super Mutens had broken out, and it tore the Vault apart, no one when up had never came out, and then you go in the Weastland of Where here they put it in England and you and so on and so forth.
Get me, sorry about the spelling.

good idea, btw cent is spelt as kent.

Would be nice with a spin-off game set in Europe (with a Fo1&2 map not Fo3 map).

But the main series should stay in United Statesia.
It shoulden't even leave it for a small map like the satellite station.

Is it just me or is the actual question here: "would you like to be able to see your house in FO4?"

I admit I'd probably find it pretty cool - like all that sightseeing...
And I always thought that RPGs need to include some sightseeing (to make the world more convincing) but I suppose too much of it could be distracting.

There are no Vaults outside of the US and Canada. And there are no Super Mutants anywhere but the US. Both Vault-Tec (and the Vaults) and the FEV were projects by the US government.

Also the rolling hills of the British countryside sound like an unbelievably boring setting for any game. I mean... Rad-sheep? I don't think so. What are they going to do, wool you to death?

I wouldn't mind England or Russia.

Why? Because England is the Closest Ally to America and Russia the Closest Ally to Russia (I think) Wouldn't mind seeing how life ended up for the Allies of America and China because they were the Main reason for the Great war

Russia is the closest ally to Russia? Also, we don't capitalize adjectives nor ordinary nouns in English.

Britain! That would be so awesome! Or again, Australia.
But for some reason, is it had to be in the U.S.A again, I'd say Hollywood :D

Where in the world would you like to see fallout? don't make choices based on sotry about the great war and what not, just purely for a gaming experience.

Me? I'd say Australia. Why? one word, Rad-Roo :celebration:

Without a doubt, US of A. I personnaly have been writing a story for Falout 4 that takes place in NYC. Of course, it'll have to be a Fallout 5 now. I started it after Fallout Tactics, long before Fallout 3 wa announced. I guess it'll change again before I'm done...

USA, as it is the setting of the Fallout series. And I'm cautiously hoping for Commonwealth because as it is the state of Massachusetts, there's a tiny little chance for the original worldmap system (or variant of it) to appear and thus possibly bigger, more developed and diverse settlements around.

Both are already used. LA is http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Los_Angeles in Fallout 1 and http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/San_Francisco is in Fallout 2.

I think St. Louis would be great. It has landmarks, bridges, water, buildings, and is in America. Although it doesn't have as much landmarks as D.C (no other city does? Correct me if wrong), going up in the arch would be awesome as hell.

Tactics had St. Louis look like a crap city, nuff said.

No BoS though, or muties, I hate them both (but I love their power armor :fallout: ).

I think Cuba would be a great location. It was very americanized in the 50s, and I don't think we know anything about what happened there in the Fallout universe. Maybe Castro's revolution failed, or maybe they got nuked 1962.

America...
New York is a good thought. Make some of the bombs duds, and some of the New York metro survives, and have a great deal of ruins, and maybe a bunch of country side. The problem at this point would be hardware and work on making something that big.

I really wanna see the post-apocalyptic ruins of my country (Finland), but I have nothing against New Vegas.
