What Daedra do you want to see

Post » Thu Nov 04, 2010 8:20 pm

I'd love to see Dremora, I love those guys, though I don't know if they were banished forever after Martin cracked the Amulet.

I'd like to see Dremora that don't kill on sight that way we can have more of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Anhaedra

All of the previous daedra + some new ones. Also I want to see all of the Daedric princes with the newly reinstated Prince of Order Jyggalag.

Westly's Markynaz is the most attractive dremora I've seen. The Oblivion dremora look like bull dogs with mange.

Storm Atronachs were so awesome in Oblivion. Satisfying as hell to see all those little chunks of stone just shatter when you killed them!

Winged twilights, dremora lords or ogrims.

I don't know, there's a lot of Daedra, part of me wants to see them all again (Except Spider Daedra), but another part of me thinks it's just a bit too much.

-Daedroth
-Winged Twilight (Or Harpy, whichever)
-Dremora Kynval and/or Markynaz
-Golden Saint
-Clanfear
-Atronachs
-Scamp

More than that gets a little too thinly spread to make daedra meaningful. Huge varieties of Daedra made sense in Oblivion because of the story and all, but in Mundus, Daedra are usually the result of conjuration gone afoul, and one of the more rare enemy types, as befitting that status, they should be among the tier'd strongest enemies in the game though.

Every single type they can offer, but ESPECIALLY, Dremora, and both genders of Aureal and Mazkan. I would also really love to see Sanguine's lesser Daedra allies. And Xivalia and Winged Twilights.

I am actually surprised if Morrowind, Skyrim and Elswyyr don't have more followers of Sanguine, as all of those cultures have a reputation for debauchery, and Skyrim for drunkeness AND debaucery. Seems Sanguine would be right up there alleys, possibly in more ways than one.

Lol. Agreed. The Daedra races that are highly intelligent should not always leap right into attack mode.

Hungers and Atronachs, definitely, though the more variety of enemies, the better! But please, keep the Daedra to a bare minimum, we had enough of those bastards in Oblivion.

Definitely untrue, Sul in IC confirms portals can be opened to oblivion and daedra can be summoned on to Nirn.

IC? Please explan further and provide quotes if possible. Not being a jerk, I just want to know more, in case it comes up again and for general elucidation.

Actually I always wanted to open gates myself (necessary items and spell+high conjuration skill+right place) to various planes
Anyway seducers and saints are a must+ everything else from TES2-4 and some other daedras.

Glad to hear that, though I must admit I'd prefer to see some Aedric creatures instead this time around.

Eh, there's the dragon for a start, which perhaps we can consider as a lesser aedra of sort. (Though the term "Aedric creatures" irks me somewhat. "Our divine ancestral creatures"? Wouldn't that supposed to be our Aedric distant relatives instead?)

Atronaches are always good to see. Can't wait to see what the new ones look like. Throw in some Winged Twilights and Ogrims.

i want special attention payed to dremora...

they should have their own race and they should borrow a few features from other races.. but they should also have...

four different types of horns seperate from hairstyles...
savage jewelry (like rings into the nose)
different tattoos

Of course, of course. The Infernal City. Had almost forgotten about it, though I did read it. I recall that not only do they speak of the ability to create gates to Oblivion in the game, at some point they actually do so, creating a gate into Hircine's realm. Thanks for The Reminder! Very relevant as it happens long after the Oblivion Crisis, and leaves no doubt that rifts and passageways can absolutely still be formed between Oblivion and Nirn.

Dragons are not daedra. They are an Akaviri race of large reptilian beasts. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dragons

Man, the comments about not being any Daedra because the "Oblivion Gates are closed" are just ridiculous! There were Daedra in every TES game, they are partially what sets TES apart from other fantasy worlds. Your own character in Obliv could summon a Daedra without the use a damned Oblivion Gate and I don't remember seeing any gates in conjurer lairs. Oblivion Gates were just a method of getting Mehrunes Dagons forces to Nirn.

On topic: I have always liked Golden Saints and Winged Twighlights, but I am all for them representing any Daedra they can think to throw in.

Also, Golden Saints and Dark Seducers.

All of them. Hopefully they aren't a bunch of Pushovers, though.

"There's a Daedra in that mine" should be enough to make you go in with extreme caution.

I'd like to see all the daedra types, but hopefully they have a more menacing visual style. All the daedra in oblivion looked so fruity, I couldn't take them seriously. I always thought of the atronachs and Dagon's minions as the demons of the TES universe, hopefully they look the part.
