What Daedric Plane do you most want to see in ES:V?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:18 am

If Bethesda lets you access a daedric plane, like in Oblivion, which one would you most want it to be?
In Oblivion we had Mehrunes Dagon's Deadlands, Sheogorath's Madhouse, Peryite's Pits and Boethiah's Attribution's Share. Peryite's Pits and Boethiah's Attribution's Share both look very similar to Mehrune's Dagon's plane in Oblivion, so I put them in the poll. We also had Clavicus's realm in Redguard, but I figured it could be redone.
I left out Mephala's Web because it is inaccessable to mortals, but I left Azura's moonshadow in because while it is so now, it has not always been inaccessable to mortals
This page describes the various planes of Oblivion: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore%3a%50lanes_of_Oblivion
If you have not completed the Shivering Isles, then it may contain some spoilers.

For me it was a choice between Hermaeus Mora's Apocrypha, Vaermina's Quagmire and Hircine's Hunting Grounds.
I chose Hermaeus Mora's Apocrypha as it sounds the most interesting: "Apocrypha is Hermaeus Mora's realm. It is an endless library where all forbidden knowledge can be found. The books all have black covers with no titles, and the library is haunted by ghosts forever searching for knowledge."
As for the second question, I chose Clavicus's realm, because I have never played Redguard and it sounds like an interesting realm.

I don't want to have any daedric plane.
Instead it should be set in Summerset Ilse and an expansion where you could interact with the Sload people of Thras.

I'm not saying it should be set in a daedric plane...that would be lame. I'm saying if they did put one in in a quest or something, which one would you prefer.

None. Endlessly spamming the inclusion of Daedric realms ruins the wonder and special qualtiy and sense of rarity regarding the Daedric realms. The experience will go from "omigosh, I'm no longer in Tamriel! I'm in Oblivion! I'm experiencing all that a Daedra Lord is and has to offer!" to "meh, yet another Daedric Realm. That's kinda cool, I guess."

Besides, why must we focus all this energy fleshing out realms of the void, when there are plenty of majestic and fantastic places and settings in Tamriel to be fleshed out?

If I absolutely had to choose, it would be Coldharbor and Attribution's Share, respectively.

I meant that I don't want to be able to travel to a daedric plane. We had lots of that in Oblivions main quest and the whole SI so there is realy no need for it. By saying that I wanted it to be set in Summerset Ilse I meant instead of having an expansion like in Oblivion where you traveled to daedric realm you would be able to visit or just interact whit Thras and its sload people.

I would like to see all of them, backed up by a questline that requires the player to make the grand tour.

Moras seems the most interesting

Any would be fine as long as it wasn't a clone of Dagon's

I really hope you don't mean in the same game because then they wouldn't put so much effort in making them all unique, and I have said this before that I don't want to have so much focus on the daedric princes and there planes.

I would really like to see what they can do with Azura's realm, and if we see it again, I'd like a better rendition of Peryite's Pits. The Prince of Pestilence deserves better than a clone of the already bland Deadlands.

Why has everybody voted for Coldharbour?

Coldharbour is boring. It's exactly the same as Tamriel, except White Gold Tower has poo on it.

Azura's place would be awesome, but I voted Apocrypha - Finding out all the forbidden knowledge must be amazing.

I don't really care if there's another Plane in TES:V.

I did vote though. It was a toss-up between Apocrypha and Ashpit (voted Apocrypha). For the second Option, Peryite's Pits - both his and Boethia's Planes were just copies of Dagon's in Oblivion, and it would have been better to have seen SOME originality gone into that.

Okey this just sound realy boring. And its not like that if he uses Umbra he can take over Tamriel.

Plus we have already had a Daedric prince trying to take over the world.

One saving the world story is enough. Especially if that is going to be the story.

I agree but Umbra must be more powerful instead of just Soul trap.
But i would rather take a break from daedric realms In TESV

No need to go back to Oblivion so soon. I'll actually be disappointed if they use that again so soon. Was Martin's sacrifice for naught?

No more light and darkness extraplanear invasions, please. Though the daedra will be involved, no doubt (as they always are). Let us have another story of political intrigue, seasoned with the anarchy of a fallen Empire without an Emperor. And I'd love for it to be multilinear, if at all possible.

No vote, due to the absence of a "none of the above" option.

I want to see Azura. I read in one of these books that she's a nice cutie. :) And everything is blurry and pretty.

I would like to see Azura's Moonshadow. I think it would be really cool.

By the way, this post has been done before. By me. : )

Seeing as Molag Bal is my favourite realm I would like to see Coldharbour. The idea of Nirn but all battered up interests me for some reason, no idea why. Also the fact that Lord Bal keeps mortal slaves would be cool to see.
