What determines carry weight?

Post » Mon Feb 17, 2014 8:43 am

I have a mod that adds a backpack to the player which increases the carry weight to the player but I think the values are too low. I want to edit the carry weight the item adds to increase it. When I look at the backpack in the GECK I can not determine what adds the additional carry weight.

Is it the actual weight of the item, the AR or is there a script that I'm not seeing? It's been several years since I've messed around the GECK so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should see some sort of enchantment on it, that will determine the carry weight modifier.

Where would I see the enchantment?

Edit 1:

Oh, I see, it says OBJEnchantment or something like that. How do I edit that field?

Edit 2:

Ok, I found it. Thanks.

Edit 3:

How do you copy the Enchanment? I want to copy it then change it as I plan on just copying the items and kind of creating new ones with changed values.

Select the enchantment, choosing Edit, then just change the editor ID. That will create a brand new version of it.
