What did you do in Morrowind today?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:25 am

Find Glass Jinkblade somewhere in Ascadian Isles. Stole in fact. Today. Glass Dagger found many days ago, I forgot where. And now, I can't find any trader or merchant with enough money to buy it. Maybe I wiill keep it. I sleep in the Mages guild. On the bottom bed, I have nice collection of weappons and books. Sleepping on top.
In real life is nice rainning evenning.

I decided to wage war on the Imperials. I was quickly defeated. Then I started anew. Got to Balmora, and I'm planning my next move...

Mudcrab and Creeper.

Selling to the Mudcrab http://www.uesp.net/maps/mwmap/mwmap.shtml?centeron=Mudcrab%20Merchant

He has 10000 gold to buy with, he only buys armour, weapons and potions.

For higher value items you need to sell him lesser value items that you can buy back to equal out the price. For example...

You want to sell the Mudcrab a 30k item. First, get two items that are each 10k a piece (or four worth 5k each, etc.). Sell him the first 10k item and rest for 24 hours. Now sell the other 10k item. Sleep again. Now sell him the 30k item and buy back the two 10k items. Sleep again, then sell him the two 10k items again (same thing about selling then sleeping and selling again).
It is suggested though that you don't rest right near the Mudcrab as your rest may be disturbed by a daedroth who can kill the Mudcrab with his poison spell.

The Talking Mudcrab Merchant is on an island south of Suran and east of Vivec. It is under the second h in Mzahnch on the paper map.

Selling to Creeper

He has 5000 to buy with and buys weapons, armour, potions, magic and miscellaneous items.

For higher value items you need to sell him lesser value items that you can buy back to equal out the price. For example...
You want to sell the Creeper a 15k item. First, get two items that are each 5k a piece. Sell him the first 5k item and rest/wait for 24 hours. Now sell the other 5k item. Sleep/wait again. Now sell him the 15k item and buy back the two 5k items. Sleep/wait again, then sell him the two 5k items again (same thing about selling then sleeping/waiting and selling again).

Creeper is on the second floor of Ghorak Manor, Caldera, which can be reached via Mage Guild transport.

Went to Vas for a Fighter's Guild quest. Now i have to go back there to kill that bandit in Sargon.

I also took my shot at a couple of different ruins sites. The ones with names like 'ashibibibinarabananana pakang zoom!'.

.....which resulted in me getting a Daedric Katana for my Imperial Soldier. Yay!

I started a new character last night, Mongo the Orc, a custom class Master Mercenary (Majors:Heavy Armor/Block/Short Blade/Athletics/Alteration, Minors: Alchemy/Speechcraft/Enchant/ Marksman/Armorer, birthsign Warrior). I power leveled alchemy and speechcraft (which basically take no time at all to practice) by actually making potions and repeatedly bribing Ajira (this took about 50k drakes, but that's what the potions were for). I still slept 8 hours a night and by day 3 at 6 p.m. I had made it to level 18. The constant leveling got me quick contact with two DB assassins and access to Mournhold helped with cash. Tonight, I'll upgrade my full steel armor set to ebony (from Siri the vampire in Druscashti and the Hunger in Serano AT), and start on some enchanted items. By day 4 I should be ready to rock.

I killed Almaelexia's guards with lockpicks, then I went and got some famed artifacts of Tamriel.
off topic:You must of did a round house kick on them with that lock pick. You must of toss it up in the air and did a big giant round house kick.

On topic: Well what i did today is make my house look better then ever so pretty much suits me for now.

Talked to Vivec and was officially proclaimed the Nerevarine. The End Game approaches!

Fortunately for me, I've already done all the Temple quests, and so have much of Red Mountain explored already.

Started over again, after i've formatted my pc.
Did the fighters guild quest to get rid of the so called telvanni agents at Ashanammu

edit: visit Arkngthand today and have cleared most of the halls. Also picked the puzzle box and took it to Hasphat Antabolis.
Got a key afterwards from him for the lower parts of Arkngthand. Then talked to Sharn gra-muzgob and then visit the Andrano Ancestral Tomb to get the skull.
Caius promoted me to apprentice. I think i visit now Ebonheart.

Drinks-the-Sea, my Argonian Acrobat, plugged Tarhiel like the gold ribbon of merit; it was done out of mercy, as the arrow blessed him with a cleaner death than he would have suffered had he died from the ignominious fall.

Since my last post i have visit Mournhold through teleportation, to end the attacks of the DB. Plucked some flowers at godsreach and purchased a few spells from a magic merchant at the great bazaar. Then returned to Vvardenfell.
Together with a companion i've visit the lower part of Arkngthand and grabbed all the stuff there and sold that to the creeper.
I also runned into some nords, which were standing along the road. Both were "victim" of a so called witch. First there was Hlormar Wine-Sot, which would like to have his axe Cloudcleaver back. Met the so called witch with the name Sosia Caristiana, which is actually a healer. Sided with Sosia, got some potions and then decided to kill her also. Ended up with double potions and cloudcleaver
After some walking i came across Hisin Deep-Raed, which seems to be rooted. Gave him a cure common disease potion and then decided to give him also his final resting place. Took all his possessions and moved on to Ald'Ruhn. From there i took the silt strider to Balmora, where i'm now at the moment. My character is now resting at the riverhouse in Balmora.
I will visit Caius to get that quest about the vivec informants.

You want too fast. This isn't Oblivion or Fallout 3 or some hack & slash game.
Morrowind is being known as a slow starter. It's all about exploring, develop your character and pick the right options.
Do some quests in Seyda Neen, if you haven't done that already. There are at least 4 quests that can be done. The first one can be finished as soon as you set foot outside the census & excise office for the first time and speak with a certain bosmer.
Speak with every single npc about everything and explore the area. At lower levels stay on the road first, don't poke into tombs or caves and avoid especially dangerous areas like daedric ruins, dwemer ruins, the ashlands, molag amur region and the red mountain region.
Here, i think http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Morrowind_for_Oblivion_Players and http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Starting_out might help.

Well, my breton character Aurora has done some adventuring since last time.
First visited Caius to hear that the next task is to gain information from some contacts in Vivec. Once in Vivec first spoke with Huleeya and in the meanwhile also helped Aurane Frernis and Miun-Gei with their troubles.
Then i got to Addhiranirr, helped Moroni Uvelas to find her addicted husband and found Dram Bero and told him about the lost ebony mine. Picked the daedric bow as reward.
Aurora also heared some rumors about people being killed and that Elam Andas is asking for help. Since she also had to visit Mehra Milo Aurora decided to go to Andas. Andas described it was a woman with a dagger and clothed in netch armor.
When talking to Andas Tarer Braryn also asked for help. He had insulted Trebonius and now he is cursed. Ok, decided to help him.
So Aurora visited Trebonius to hand over the apologies, killed the "woman with a dagger" and reported this back to the questgivers. Andas gave the option to choose a belt or armour from a dead ordinator. Choosed the belt of the armor of god.
Tarer gave 100 gold as reward and from trebonius got an exclusive rising force potion. Then finally visited Mehra Milo. Mehra advised to get a copy of progress of truth. Back to Jobasha's bookstore then. Jobasha had indeed progress of truth.
Since Duma Gro-Lag told to have to obtain a book with pictures of the new shrine, the sculptor which Boethiad spoke of when visiting his sunken shrine, Aurora asked Jobasha if he had got such a book. Well, he had.
Travelled to Caldera then to give Duma the book and the gold. Oh, there was also a dunmer in the Hlaalu canton which felt in love with a bosmer. Aurora told him to pay attention to the cousin of eraldil.
After visit Duma in Caldera Aurora got back to Balmora to gave him the information. He needs some time now. Then decided to do some travelling through the ascadian isles. Found a pilgrim which was lost to find the holy fields of kummu. Decided to travel with the pilgrim. Once arrived at the fields aurora came then across a bosmer which feared for his friends life, since there were some mating kagouti's in the neighbourhood. Killed the kagouti's and rescued the friend. Both were grateful and rewarded Auora with an amulet of slowfalling. Then when travelling across ules manor Aurora ran into Tul, an "escaped" slave. Tul wished to get to a kind redguard which is helping the slaves. When we both arrived at Sterdecan's farm Tul revealed that he is a bounty hunter for the camonna tong.
Not a good idea from him to treat the farmer and aurora and he ended up dead. After this she travelled to Suran. Heard from a drunken bounty hunter that he was searching for an escaped slave. Found the slave, but haven't told his secret.
Also heard something about a madman in the hills and decided to check that. Aurora met then an orc called Umbra, which had the desire to die like a warrior. Aurora decided to give him that and became the new owner of the sword Umbra.
While travelling near mzahnch ruins she came across a strange mudcrab, which seems to be a merchant. Then travelled through Azura's Coast region, visited Tel Branora and also visited the Shrine of Azura. Inside the shrine and when talked to the statue Azura gave a quest to get rid of sheogorath's minions where the priestess is. After visiting the shrine travelled further and finally got into Sadrith Mora. Fetched the papers and also killed some camonna thong, which were inside nevrila areloth's house.
At this moment my character is resting at the waterview house in Sadrith Mora after some long travelling adventures.

Tried to solve the haunting in Sadrith Mora but the sorceror (Neloth's mouth) I need to talk to won't acknowledge the quest. I wonder it's because my char is Redoran Archmaster.
Was named Urshilaku Nerevarine and called a heretic by the temple

My Khajiit Monk R'Gerr was plotting to break several of his most cherished vows with his delightful special friend Ahnassi, and decided to prove his worth by defeating the cultist upstairs who was creeping out everyone at the Halfway Inn. His deft Whispering Claw technique defeated Hrordis, but not before the Greater Bonewalker she summoned magicked him until he was as weak as a child. Hardly able to move, he realized that he needed to get to the nearest Altar for curing. He also knew what he had to do to get there. He cast aside his hard-earned trophies, his potions, his clothes, and finally, the heaviest weight of all, his dignity, and crawled downstairs, stark raving naked, through the Halfway Inn. As he was pelted from all sides by snarky remarks from the locals, Ahnassi only said, "Muthsera?" in concern for his wounds. He crawled through the streets of Pelagiad, and a drunken Nord was heard to exclaim, "Ha! Who's the naked one now, outlander!" R'Gerr made it to the fort; this chronicler will not deign to repeat what the soldiers said as they laughed loud and long at the unfortunate traveler. Finally, he arrived at the Imperial Cult Altar, made a donation, and was cured of weakness in body and spirit.

It would be quite a while before he could bring himself to return to the Halfway Inn.

Another day in Vvardenfell. My breton character Aurora decided to go north and do some island hopping. First she came across the Sadryon Ancestral Tomb and decide to go in. The loot was not spectacular, only some alchemy ingredients and loot from skeletons and bonelords. Then somewhat more up north she crossed the daedric ruin Esutanamus. Outside the ruins a fire atronach, an ogrim and a shalk wandered around.
It was a tough battle, but all three ended up dead. Luckily Kendra was also travelling with her. Then upon the steps to the entrance a frost atronach was blocking the path. There were also some nord barbarians walking around, but they didn't do anything. Once inside the shrine we were soon been attacked by 2 hostile npc's. One of them was a trainer. Was, because now he's dead. Behind a trapped door and where the statue of Molag Bal is standing were another 2 hostile persons. Took then everything in the shrine. Looted the corpses and grabbed the items that were laying on the altar. However, the ruby was cursed, so a dremora lord soon popped up and began to toss some nasty fire spells.
Ended up almost dead myself, but the dremora lord lost the battle. Healed myself then, openen the 2 chests and grabbed the loot. Then leaved the now empty ruin. A little bit up north from the ruin Aurora came then in the telvanni settlement Tel Mora, home of telvanni councilor Dratha. The first thing she noticed was that everyone was of the same six. When talking to the guard Nina Aurora then learned mistress Dratha doesn't like men. Hmm, strange.
She selled some heavy armor, which was looted from the enemies in Esutanamus, to the local smith. Then tooked the boat to nearby Vos. In Vos she did some shopping at Aradia's needle and took some rest at Varo tradehouse.
After the resting looted then the storage and then visit the nearby telvanni tower Tel Vos, which is the home of master Aryon. There was a blighted kagouti in the neighbourhood, but a telvanni guard took the infected animal out.
Aurora visited shopkeeper aleanne in the services tower to purchase some goods. Then she decided to go to Aryon's chamber, which was in the mushroomtower and the entrance was up in the sky.
Once inside Aryon's guard Turedus Talanian approached her. Turedus has a little task; he would like to trade with the zainab tribe and wanted to know what they want to have. So off to the Zainab camp then. Once arrived and spoken to some people Aurora then learned from the wise woman that the Zainab needs cure common disease and cure blight potions. She tooked the information back to Turedus. He was happy with the news and rewarded Aurora with 100 gold and an amulet of levitating. Now flying wouldn't cost any magicka. The trip continued and Aurora was now in Dagon Fel. She heard some rumors about Andromache and about 2 brothers which were exploring a daedric ruin to find an unique helm. Oh and there was something about a local necromancer called Sorkvild. She visited then the metal queen boutique and asked there about andromache. From erica she got the book and the key to the tomb. Aurora did also some shopping downstairs. And if she hadn't already enough clothes she also visited hilgya, who's shop was nearby. After visiting Andre Maul's tower and defeated 2 golden saints she took the boat back to Sadrith Mora. From there she took then another boat to Ebonheart. At the hideaway cottage the new clothes and some loot were stored. Now it's time to go to khartag point, because the shrine would almost be finished.
