What did you do in Morrowind today? #9

What do you mean, the purpose of this game isn't to get your character looking the prettiest?

It's called ¨The True Main Quest".

Oh man, today I discovered Qarl & Cenobite's Gothic Attire Complete and I think I may spend the rest of my life in there trying on outfits, emerging only to slaughter daedra for souls to sell for outrageous sums in order to feed my clothing obsession.

I've just started playing so I haven't done much.
I was wandering through Arkngthand with the key Hasphat gave me only to realise that I already opened the door on my first go through.

Nothing!
I went for a reinstall and lost the main MW CD. Still got Bloodmoon and Tribunal, but those are kind of useless at the moment.
So, playing Oblivion T_T

My new high elf spell sword (custom class, not premade) Traveled to vivec to chat to some informants, after this mission he will probably devote more time to training.

So far after a week of training, and scavenging for cash, i have 60 long blade, next up is light armor, and then...i don't know more adventuring?

Today... I was all set to begin a new game but discovered a problem with the guard scripts caused by a dirty mod. Cleaned it up.

New game tomorrow I guess. =)

I tried installing MW on a friends windows 7 pc, but the sounds are not being recognized, apparently, so I asked for help.
Aside from that, I worked my way through some of RoHT's quests.

Today i finally managed to finish the main quest the prober way !!! :celebration:

I defeated Dragoth Uhr by doing the entire main quest i've collected keening and sunder and stroke that heart like a mad men.

Previous time i defeated the fellow without Wraithguard and just used alot of restore health potions with my character while attacking
the hearth with keening and sunder.

Now i guess i'm off to Tribunal or Bloodmoon no idea what will suit me better!

It's been a couple of years since I've played Morrowind and I've forgotten a great deal. I started a new character and did all the usual stuff in Seyda Neen. This time I returned Fargoth's ring and left him alone after that.

After aquiring a spark sword from I think Tarhiel, I took on the Adamasartus Cave with little trouble and took off exploring. I was trying to find the tomb where Mentor's Ring was hidden, but for some reason I missed it. So I headed to Balmora and dropped off the package to Caius. He told me to get some armor and training, so I joined the Mages and Fighters Guilds. I completed Ajira's quests and was given my first quest by the Fighters Guild to go kill some rats. In the meantime I needed money for training, so I went to Caldera and stole the orc's armor and the mortar and pestal from there. Headed to Wolverine Hall and bought some ash yams and netch leather and made a bunch of fortify intelligence potions which I after sold to Creeper. This gave me enough cash to buy some training.

This is where playstyle comes into it. I trained several skills very quickly and soon leveled up from level 1 to level 7. This is too fast in my book. So I have to decide how much to actually train from this point on. I don't want to be the 99 pound weakling, but neither do I want to go so fast as to ruin the game.

In the meantime, I decided to go back to Seyda Neen and look for Mentor's Ring. According to a save from my last game, the first time I came across this tomb I was a level 1. I encountered a single Ancestor Ghost and took him out quickly with my spark sword. This time was a whole different ball game. When next I found this tomb I was a level 7. On entering, I found their were 2 ancestor ghosts waiting just behind the door. I opened the door and stood partially hidden by the door jamb and whacked away at them. They soon went down. I went further into the tomb and another ancestor ghost came around the corner. I took him out with little problem. Then a skeleton archer appeared and shot me down in two hits. So I tried again. And again. After dying several times, I decided to save after the 3rd ancestor ghost and rush around the corner to confront him. All would have been well if he had only stood still. Alas, he was very quick on his feet. After several tries and using firebite to augment my attack, I eventually dispatched him. Then I got hit by another ancestor ghost which I took care of quickly. And finally I was attacked by a second skeleton archer. I don't know how I survived, but through quick action and a lot of luck I was able to get him down as well. I finally won with only a sliver of health left.

I have never had to fight so hard before to get Mentor's ring. I couldn't believe the difference it made between being level 1 and level 7. Needless to say I found getting this ring quite an accomplishment.

Now I'm going back to making potions to build up my gold supply so I can be ready to buy spells and supplies and maybe training as needed.
I am so glad I came back to Morrowind. I had been missing it and now it only remains to be seen how I go about powering up. I'd like to take it a bit slower, maybe just do some quests to gain a little more experience. Still there are all those blade members recommended by Caius to train me. I'll have to play it by ear.

I went around filling soul gems with the aggressive animal life (cliffracers, nix hounds, alits, kagouti, ect)

And I was making my was from balmora westward in a round about way to get to suran (past arkingthand).

I made a huge jump via spell and died, tho; and wasted the entire trip...

Just reinstalled today after a short hiatus and installed a couple mods (have a long list to install before I can pick up with my old saves).

Been tempted to play a non-combat guy again, so that's what I made. Spent some time between Caldera and Balmora robbing some houses and shops. Outran some rats and a kwama forager.

Gonna join Hlaalu, soon.

^^^^^^ Who's Forgoth?

Back to topic: a strange thing happened to me today. I discovered an ancient tomb just northwest of Ghostgate, right next to the Ghostfence. I entered, killed enemies, looted everything and then went out. As soon I was out, I was greeted by a huge Guar's mouth and a Cliff Racer. This was strange, as there was no one in sight when I entered the tomb. So I go back inside, rest and then go back out. I start throwing Fire Bite at the Guar, but just as I was about to finish him off, I started shooting at the Cliff Racer.
So I retreat back in tomb, rest and go back out. But this time both Guar and the Racer have they health intact! So I finally killed them, but I'm badly wounded, so once again, I rest at the tomb. And then, guess what. When I went outside both the Guar and the Cliff Racer where there again! Is this a bug?
Anyway, I cast my invisibility spell and ran from there like crazy.

Was cruising around Thirsk and spotted a group of Reikling Raiders.I decided to levitate above them and try out my new long bow to get some practice. When I started shooting, they started running around like crazy then headed for the beach. Last I saw of them they were still swimming away. :wavey:

I played on Morrowind for the first time today ^_^ after playing on Oblivion for about a year. Spent several hours (real time) running around the unfamiliar countryside getting destroyed by every enemy I came across. :(

Dealt with an annoying shalk problem in the Bloat mine after traversing a cave full of the buggers and whacking the king. Then got Neloth to give me the money for a council club in said mine after yelling at him. Then crashed. :brokencomputer:

Well, to tell you the truth, I think it's about time to load Oblivion. I am at level 48. I have over 600,000 drakes to my name, and probably over 1,000,000 drakes invested in artifacts that the museum in Mournhold would love. You know, they say you should diversify in your retirement investments. I have a hold built at Bal Isra, and I also have my Factors house over on Solstheim. Yes, I think it is time to retire.
