What did you do in Morrowind today? #9

1 1st Seed, 3E 427

Having spent the last couple of weeks since my victory over Dagoth Ur in http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/MGEScreenshot5.jpg, I decided to make a foray to the capital of Mournhold. I find it interesting how much different it is from the Vvardenfell island in terms of architecture and culture. Its lack of proximity to the Red Mountain certainly makes a difference. http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/1firstseed.jpg, which deals in rare powerful items. I sold them the few that I'd happened upon as yet -- the Staff of Hasedoki, the Eleidon's Ward shield, and the Ten Pace Boots.

5 1st Seed, 3E 427

After my visit to Mournhold, I decided to set out east and pay a visit to the mainland House of Telvanni. I was quite insulted by my reception; my position of Archmagister of the Vvardenfell House seemed to impress them not at all, and I am back to doing relatively menial tasks to garner favour with them.

18 1st Seed, 3E 427

I quickly tired of this and retreated back to Sadrith Mora only to be informed of the study of the Archmagister in the Council House that had sat unused since I usurped Gothren. http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/18firstseed.jpg and appointed the Lady Zubadaiah Rethosa as a new Master; an interesting woman, her, with a body such as only Vivec possesses -- half Chimer and half Dunmer. After securing her in Tel Aruhn, I turned to my next task, one that had been brewing in my mind for weeks but only took shape once I heard it pass another's lips -- the destruction of the Mages' Guild in Vvardenfell. Holding the position of Archmage over them from my time before Telvanni, it was quite easy to facilitate an island-wide coup, sparing none but their two finest scholars -- http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/MGEScreenshot11.jpg and Skink-In-Tree's-Shade. Skink is just generally capable, while Edwinna shares my utter fascination with all things Dwemer.

During my discussions with Zubadaiah, I learned of her ancestry and found it most interesting. Long story short, summoned her grandmother the ex-Archmagister and gained http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/MGEScreenshot2.jpg from an Oblivion realm. It will be interesting to see what other long-buried secrets of the most noble House of Telvanni shall surface.

Is there a mod you used to appoint a new master and kill the mages guild? That sounds fun.

I figure you used TR to visit the mainland. Which I just downloaded yesterday and am excited about.

Yeah, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=4449. It's awesome, just got it yesterday. And, yes, also TR. I love how TR is so Telvanni-focused. They are by far the coolest of the three Houses.

My favorite is Hlaalu, but Telvanni is really fun.

Anyway, today the smell of my alchemy ingredients must have attracted http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v620/thelobo/ScreenShot17.jpg?t=1272316257 to my hideout underneath Hla Oad.

Guess it's time to move.

Edit: sweet, i just read about that mod.
my character is an argonian ex-slave who joins the Telvanni, so this mod will be perfect.

Name: Sannivio
Class: Battlemage
Race: Breton
Sign: the Lady
Imperial Legion: Trooper
Mages Guild: Conjurer:
Temple: Acolyte
Imperial Cult: Initiate

Being in both the Temple and the Imperial Cult at the same time always made very little sense to me a in a roleplaying sense. You worship the Tribunal AND the Nine Divines? As far as I know, native Dunmer don't generally belong to the Imperial Cult; it's generally for Imperial citizens residing in Morrowind. The Temple is for native Dunmer and most outlanders will find the idea of worshiping these three self-proclaimed "false Gods" to be ridiculous.

He could be a pantheist, or maybe his motives aren't so spiritual.

Gebora achieved the rank of Operative in the Thieves Guild, during the furlough granted by Cosades, for collecting intel on the Nerevarine cult. He's moved from Balmora to Ald'rhun, while doing odd jobs there.

I've had characters who have joined both because they believe in neither but want to exploit both, or are curious about both, or were loyal to one and infiltrating the other.

And I've had characters who wanted to find a new religion, so they've tried both out and then quit the one they didn't like.

So, I'm putting Caerendevwin the Telvanni Archmagister-turned-Nerevarine on hold for a while to try out a new concept -- a Nord Ninja; female, named Bjorn Darkheart. I'll put her journal up once she's actually played more than a day.

My dunmer is a temple fanatic first. But after the MQ he will leave the Temple and join the nine divines

Got arrested for touching myself naked in front of the guards, I'm such an idiot, I should have done it in front of the storekeepers. They don't complain as much. :hubbahubba:

Writing Enhanced is a nice mod for a thread like this . My character keeps a journal, I export it to a word document every few days and post it here. Very nifty. Anyway. New character, since I had to reinstall all my MW [censored].

A Shadow Rising
by Adu-Kansi

28 Last Seed, 3E 427

I succeeded in my first Writ this evening; a Dunmer male named http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/MGEScreenshot2.jpg at the Elven Nations Cornerclub here in Vivec, not a 30 minute walk from my own apartment in the St. Delyn canton. I go to report to Master Hlaalu after http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/MGEScreenshot3.jpg, and then shall probably retire for the evening.

29 Last Seed, 3E 427

A pleasant sleep I had last night, after receiving two more writs from Master Hlaalu; two more Dunmer by the name of Toris Saren, another here in Vivec, and Odaishah Yasalmibaal, an Ashlander far to the east. I head east for the more challenging of the two now.

30 Last Seed, 3E 427

I could heard Odaishah's snoring http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/MGEScreenshot4.jpg. I could feel the life leave his body as my blade pierced into his body over and over. Even had he awoken, he would have only seen a spectre; the scrolls that I was given -- by the Imperial Cult, amusingly enough -- proved most useful in hiding myself. My second writ is completed. I have also been doing a few odd jobs for the Thieves' Guild, when my whimsy fancies it, and http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/MGEScreenshot7.jpg, learning the ways of this land.

Ugh, my mage's spells were ridiculously strong, so if they reflected he killed himself near-instantly (100 dmg a second for 2 seconds in 50 feet. yeah). I had to make a robe with healing on it and hotkey it and just spam the cast button when that happened.

Eirik had to go to the Arena to answer the challenge from Bolvyn Venim. On the way, he found a Kheran lass keeping her legs wet in the Lower Waistworks, and she sold him both a Kheran longblade sword for parrying, and one for fighting. She also enchanted the blade for him with a simple level of shock damage at 15 to 20 range. Now, with a weapon in each hand, he walked to the Arena Pit, and opened the door.

Venim charged at him with an epithet and confidence, but his blows just impacted on his Lorien armor. When he tried another blow from his Daedric Dai-Katana, he missed, and he sent the overconfident Dunmer legend to the Velothian Fields.

Went back to his manor to relay what had happened, though his daughter already briefed all. She was hurt, and said he was "lucky".

His mistress was shattered and vowed vengeance.

His widow was pleased, so much so that said she would forgoe mourning, and accepted a kiss.

While there, in the main Skar, a witch conjured a Daedroth and attacked him. The guards dispatched the Daedroth and when she came running up the ramp at him, he pulled out the Drow Crossbow he removed from a chameleoned assassin, and put two bolts into her chest for her trouble. Her robe was nice, so he left her naked and dead body on the ground and gave the outfit to some slaves.

Meanwhile, his new friend Acaceia Moca is waiting impatiently for him to come home, because in her own words..."Things are going to get messy around here."

Hell hath no fury like a cute vampire who is thirsty.

This one is the Khajiit known as Ribasha. Following my arrival in Seyda Neen I heard rumors of a group of smugglers operating in a cave outside of town. After a brief fight, I freed my countrymen from their bondage and returned to Arrille's Tradehouse to sell the loot I collected in the smuggler's cave. While there I ran into a Nord who wanted this one to learn where a Bosmer named Fargoth was hiding his gold. Bosmer are so stupid, he walked right to his hiding spot, which was right in the middle of town. This one waited until Fargoth's back was turned, and then I borrowed some of his things and returned to Hrisskar who rewarded this one for his efforts. After that, I heard rumors of something called a "Mentor's Ring," it sounds valuable. After I meet with this Caius person in Balmora, I may return to Seyda Neen and begin my search for the ring.

After arriving at Seyda Neen in a prison boat, Riddle the Redguard accomplished many amazing feats. He helped an unlucky Nord, joined the fighter's guild and did a few odd jobs for them, joined the Blades and learned more about the Nerevarine Prophecies. He finished the day, though, by provoking an Ordinator into attacking him. He slew the Ordinator, and sold the Ordinator's armor to the creeper.
