What did you name your Custom Class?

Post » Wed Aug 26, 2009 1:00 am

Here is a nice topic (I hope I posted this in the correct forum)

What did you name your Custom Class? and also, what motivated the name?

I will start:
Holy Jedi - I used this the first time I started playing it and I like Star Wars and God and thought it would be neat to have a healing power while jumping and running fast with brute strength of a Nord.

Holy Wraith - On my 2nd restart I made a more better name, similar skills but I used Wraith because well, a Wraith is not dead or alive, and just thought it holds better than "Jedi" and I happen to like Lord of the Rings more than Star Wars.

Laters.

Death Knight, from World of Warcraft.
I Made a dark elf, turned the skin all black, and did Conjuration, Blade, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Illusion, Marksman, and Sneak. It was a great class, that was my first character, He is now level 60 XD
Worked out great

My current custom is an Altmer Ronin. I know its not canon, but it was the closest word to describe the backstory I had wrote for him that I could think of. Plus, it was one of the few words I could get to fit in the class name thing on my 360 that I liked.

Convict. He's about as unskilled as I could make him, due to a lifetime in the Imperial prisons.

I created my own knight class that's more paladin-esque in nature.

Those are some neat class names.

I never thought of Death Knight from Warcraft II. It was hard making a magical knight with attributes of both a healer and defender.

Anyone have any luck making their characters look like yourself? I actually came close and I still look bad

Mine looks like me when I used to have longer hair. I cut it for a job that I wound up not getting, and was pissed off... NEVER AGAIN.

Just take a Male Imperial, Lower the Age Slider all the way down (I raise it up slightly but it doesnt change the face), then add copper Windblown hair at full length. Green eyes, and tick up the Eyebrow thickness a little bit.
Handsome looking albeit slightly feminine. Thats pretty much what I (will) look like.

The last time I played Oblivion and I made a custom class it was an Arcane Trickster. The name was taken from D&D and the character was a Mage/Rogue hybrid that worked better than the standard Nightblade.

4 out of my 5 characters have a custom class.

Do'Virr is a Shinobi. I wanted to make a sneaky martial artist and "ninja" is a bit cliche so I went for a less commonly used word with similair meaning. (And he turned out to be more of a sneaky archer.)

Morwen is a Shadow Mage. She's a mage with Sneak instead of Alchemy. Was originally intented to be very sneaky, but now that she's a Master of Destruction she doesn't care that much for subtletly anymore.

Sarevok Gro-Balrog is a http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a313/dragatus/Oblivion/Oblivion2009-11-2420-48-08-79.jpg. Because that's what he is.

And Nimgurth is a White Death because his skin is pure white and he is a deadly bowman. Partially inspired by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_H%C3%A4yh%C3%A4.

Rune Knight - Inspired from a class tier in Disgaea

Mord' Sith - From the Sword of Truth series

Coercer - An Illusionist hybrid class, the name inspired from Everquest

Templar - Inspired from Dragon Age Origins

Mystic Archer - Inspired from our own friendly neighborhood Acadian :foodndrink:

Cleric - Similar to the combat clerics from Icewind Dale

Priestess - My first character, just a basic healer class name

Thank you Katrina!

Mystic Archer. I wanted an archer that refused to touch any weapon except a bow. Archer is the operative word, because she uses her bow to kill. Magic is used to make her a more effective bow killer.

Alchemist I called this my class because I love Alchemy also because of its skills I also got my inspiration from Full Metal Alchemist due to the alteration and destruction as major skills. Really hes just a custom spell sword with Alchemy but i like the class and I've made two characters with this class each with 160+ hours of gamplay

For any body whos interested heres my class

Alchemist
Combat type:Magic
Major Attributes:Strength, Intelligence
Major skills
Alchemy
Destruction
Alteration
Conjuration
Heavy Armour
Block
Blade
I usually use a Breton with the Apprentice Birthsign his level maxes out at 49 ,and I got his health too 554. He also has 100 in Strength Intelligence Willpower and Endurance I have 73 Speed and 64 Agility

Yes that was completely off the top of my head and Yes I do remember (most) of my minor skills.

One I like that is pretty original, at least as far ES, goes is a 'Freebooter' which actually comes from the Conan books, and was a wandering mercernary type person. I have a cupla variations based on how u want to control leveling too.

Combat
Atts... End, whatever

Blade
Blunt
Marksman
Mercantile - lots of time bartering in mercenary and army camps, etc...
Speechraft - have to talk smack with the boys
Heavy/Light armor - or drop armorer for leveling, and i have a version with h2h or one of skills in slot 8 below
Athletics/Block/Armorer/Sneak/Acrobatics, preference for last skill

the way i play mine is to use primarily blade- mercantile and speech are slow, and if you pick controllable and mostly unused skills in the other slots, you can make a character that levels almost entirely on Blade and Marksman.... which is very good.

like this
Blade
Blunt
Acrobatics
Marksman
Speechcraft
Mercantile
Hand to Hand - causes poor strength bonuses, but not a hugpe prob. or put in Security and don't use it much...etc

Wow, so many cheesy and unoriginal classes.

Anyway, my ingenius custom class is called a scavanger. I mostly used him to pickpocket and steal, and I think I fought with hand-to-hand or blade.

Wow, you actually picked pockets and stole things? I bet no one ever thought of that how original.
