What did you see in the trailer?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 3:29 pm

Not all of them...

The BoS were just soldiers at one point...what are the chances that the "BoS" in this game are simply the descendants of soldiers in charge of protecting this Vault, MIT, or something else and have never heard of the Brotherhood of Steel? The weapons, armor and vehicles might simply be what was issued to their ancestors...maybe?

Name one they didn't?

Vault 8 doesn't count, it's a control vault and so part of the experiment.

A poorly made German Shepard that honestly, a stockier, short-haired dog would've been a better pick. Oh, and NPCs running in a goofy manner when all hell breaks loose.

But control Vaults are the Vaults that weren't used for experiments ....you are bascially saying give me names but don't use the names that fullfil the criteria.

I don't believe there are Brotherhood in the trailer. The guys in Power Armour by the Vault when people were running towards it would be pre-war American Soldiers. As for the Enclave, I didn't see them either. The Vertibird is pre-war as well. The power armour we see in the senses that look to be after the war look to be badly damaged a kin to what we see in the Pitt.

But if there are Brotherhood, my hope is that it is the Midwestern guys :mohawk:

I made a list of things I noticed in the trailer, not much here people haven't already mentioned, but the two things that got me most excited are the fact that there are weather effects (lightning, rain, fog, etc.) and lots of really tall structures.

Spoiler
Thoughts and things I noticed in the trailer:

- While the graphics may not be spectacular, they seem to be a definite improvement on the previous two games.
- The clutter seems more realistic and I think will greatly improve immersion.
- Indoor/outdoor flow: Windows you can see through and buildings you can walk into without loading a new zone.
- I saw the box that a Mr Handy used to be packaged in, which was pretty neat.
- Color: Holy carp it's vivid in some places.
- Plenty of tall structures.
- That (pirate) ship is "docked" above some buildings which may suggest it will fly rather than float.
- Memory Den: Total Recall style implants of pre-war "memories?"
- Rain and lightning effects.
- Can't tell if super mutants or dudes in bulky armor.
- Awesome looking yellow protectron.
- Massively built-up junk city that is really tall.
- Encampments on and under motorways.
- Crab enemies.
- Deathclaw.
- Fog effects.
- Can't tell if raiders or ghouls in supermarket.
- Diamond emblem on stadium building.
- Stores called Swatters, Diamond City Surplus, Power Noodles and Chem-I-Care.
- Vertibird flying next to zepplin.
- New Nuka-Cola machine.
- Return of bobbleheads (or at least one).
- Custom modified power armor.

In a scientific experiment the control variable is extremely important <--There was a better word but lately my thoughts has been fuzzy.

Yeah the piano play in that theme gives me goosebumps. Don't normally bother with all the credits to an end of a video game, but I always make an exception for New Vegas.

That scene in the trailer makes me think this game might have elements of Blade Runner to it. Which I would be ok with, if you get That Gun ;)

Were any other chapters rumored or shown to have zeppelins? Doesnt sound like standard issue...except for maybe the Luftwaffe.

I noticed the new bottles... Wonder if there will be Nuka grenades...

I'm wondering how they would tie in the FEV getting to the Boston area. Unless its another Enclave outpost?

Also, there's that rack of magazines in the garage, so they could be making a return from NV.

I'm thinking the exhaust/jetpack thingie for the USS Constitution is just for riding faster in the water..theres no way that thing can fly, it would just nose dive down!

No there is no other info on any other Brotherhood group having such technology. The Midwestern Brotherhood were around before the time of Chapters. They were the minority wanting change before the events of Fallout 2. They were sent to follow the Super Mutant armies that were heading East. They used the airships for that mission but they encountered a storm. Most of the Ships were scattered and lost. One (or more) ships crashed outside of Chicago. The survivors founded their own version of the Brotherhood of Steel, one founded with their ideals.

Pitbull, Rottweiler, Bulldog, Bull Mastiff, Mastiff, Just overall stockier, short-hair dog would've been a better pick, because even with a tail like a Rottie, it would still require not much work in the hair department. I'd say Rottie because dark fur is already an easier set up to make the coat at least look good.

Nobody should have more FEV. Including the Enclave. Super muties can be there without FEV. Holing up in their own doomed communities, or even trying to integrate with normal humans, if the eastern strain is capable of learning to so.

It is definitely a reference-heavy trailer...full of shots that make you go, "Hey, it's ." There were a couple of new things like the zeppelin...kinda wondering what that is. Hopefully, they are saving the new stuff to be discovered as you play the game.

If those are super mutants in the trailer, its likely they just walked to Boston from D.C.

The remnants of the Master's army went many times further from Cali to near Chicago. Its not unheard of.

But did they construct the airships before or after departing from the rest of the Brotherhood?

-Nobody

I'm guessing most of you saw the bobblehead on the workbench. To be honest, I didn't like how bobbleheads increased my skills. Even if I had the skill points, I wouldn't bring something to 100 until I found the bobblehead for that skill so I wasn't wasting points. Just having them as collectibles would be great, I think.
