What did you see in the trailer?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:36 am

Before. The Brotherhood constructed the ships and then sent them (the minority) on the mission to follow the Super Mutant armies. The minority (those wanting change) were sent on that mission. Some speculated that storms would be a serious problem but were ignored. But they were right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7fW2N3T5RA around 6:05.

Is there an explaination for how bobbleheads work in the game world, or are they just kindof an abstract power-up game thing?

There's a pop-up each bobblehead has that makes a clever or slightly informative quote about the skill but saying that is a legit reason to increase your skills is a big stretch. It's mostly just a rewarding easter egg hunt.

EDIT: The collectibles in New Vegas are items of personal value to a Collector in-game who you trade them to for large sums of caps which is a better way to handle that, I think.

That would make the appearance of Super Mutants plausible (maybe even welcome) considering the events of Tactics.

EDIT: Maybe the Midwest Chapter is pushing the remaining Mutants east and they will have a face-off since they have nowhere to go at the coast.

I would prefer something like the following list of collectables:

lucky rabbit's foot luck +1

rubicks cube dexterity +1

hand-squeeze exercise thing strength +1

etc.

etc.

Well, it doesn't make much sense for Boston to have a non-BoS/Enclave group with Power Armor, when not even Washington DC had a group like that.

D.C. also didn't have a highly advanced tech organization survive the war intact like Boston had with The Institute now did it?

If we see the Hellion in any trailer/demo, then we damn well know it's the Midwestern BoS.

Washington DC didn't have much in the way of anything really. But there is nothing saying other groups out there can't have PA. The Shi in Fallout 2 sold PA. Power Armour existed before the Great War, it was used by American forces even while "Keeping the Peace" in Canada. So it is very possible that military groups through out the United States survived, with Power Armour and the Knowledge of how to use it.

YES YES YES! Barnaky ending FTW!!!

I seriously doubt this is the case, but I honestly can't think of any news for this game that would make me happier.

Fallout 3 had bobbleheads that increased stats as such as well. I think that's better than skills though, since very few players max out any SPECIAL stat. Maybe bobbleheads could be tradeable for caps or given to companions so they get boosted stats.

I think a high-tech group like the Institute could easily have the means to find Power Armor and outfit their forces with them.

I saw armed men, presumably guards at the base of the Bunker Hill Monument. So maybe the monument will be some sort of Head Quarters for a faction?

I saw a sign that said "Girls, Girls, Girls" and I was intrigued about the possibility of prostitution.. This would lead me to believe that gambling is also in the game.. It may be a stretch, but I just feel they go together.

I think it's cool to have a stat boost, but I would prefer just about anything (surgery, chem, really thick book) to something that is a complete abstraction, just my opinion.

Can't say a lot now, but the game will be longer than the trailer ;). Come see more at our E3 Showcase

I see that couple and the baby from the pre-war scenes getting caught in the nuclear blast.

I'm not buying into the "baby is protagonist" thing and that just reinforces it.

Mmm, dens of vice in the post-apocalpyse. Perfect place to order a few drinks and be watching everyone around you for movement while you keep your right hand on that large pistol of yours.

I really enjoy inns/bars in games. I hope there's a whole bunch to do with them, and plenty of danger involved. Playing all sorts of games in New Vegas was great, although I wasnt a fan of how time stopped in the menu. (Should get a mod for that.)

Will do Gstaff. I hope the game doesn't take just 5 minutes to complete though.

My first time playing Fallout 3 I said to myself I would explore before trying the main quest. Needless to say I found dear old day pretty darn fast and bypassed the bulk of the game without trying. So I hope that doesn't happen for Fallout 4.

Return of the Gambling skill perhaps? I think it would be a nice addition to people who like those mini-games and an avoidable option for those who don't. I have to say, I am intrigued by the possibility of Gambling being tied in to quests and dialogue. Beating someone at cards to get information or something of value. OR maybe so you can distract someone with real-time poker while your companion utilizes the lack of a guard or pickpockets someone.

Damn. That's some piss luck.

Another point from the trailer that I haven't seen mentioned. Anyone else notice the left arm of the power armor suit that's mounted up in that garage? It looks modified specifically to fit around a Pip Boy. Looks like we won't just be taking off the forearm in this one, and will even get to wear both gloves! :)

That is either brilliant gameplay, or bad luck.

I've watched several times and those two bulky figures seem to me to be healthy supermutants. If anyone else noticed the ship has 3 propulsion engines and not just the two at the rear (look at the front). I watched the gamespot trailer review...DON'T! If yall wanna remain calm and not get frustrated... just don't watch that.
