What did you see in the trailer?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 1:31 pm

I saw alot, i'll list it down...

1.From what I saw of Vault 111, it looks like it has an elevator, and some kind of double vault-door lock. Very different from all other vaults, having an exposed exit to the surface, decked out in Vault-Tech blue and yellow, in one shot, when "Dogmeat" steps up to the hole, there's a red valve on a pipe-like blue object near the bottom of the screen, but next to the hole still. In the shot when the bombs drop there is no red valve. Could it be the opening mechanism, or just a mistake? Also, Bethesda's 1 fetish

2.The rifle our unnamed protagonist wields can be seen leaning on a chair on the http://fallout4.com website, to the left. I honestly think it looks pretty makeshift, doesn't confirm anything but that a neat rifle-esque gun exists. During the trailer, as it zooms out, the rifle is replaced with a blander, generic rifle.

3.Some saw what looked like an enclave poster "Spoted, what looks like an enclave enilst poster on the tin wall in the trailer at 1:51" Maybe, it's too dirty to see exactly what it is but a glowing eye of a helmet is clear. Also note the pretty shiny Eyebot someone must atleast be maintaining it. It's not dirty or banged up like ED-E. Also, at about 2:00 there's a billboard for a GNN, with a radio tower sending 'radio waves' Three-Dog was rumored to be back for another Fallout. But I doubt it's Galaxy News Network.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=1m36s Bunker Hill Monument.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=1m39s USS Constitution in Boston. Wtf are the exhaust/jetpack things on it though?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=1m43s Super Mutants, looks like a Capital Wasteland location.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=1m47s Holy [censored] that's a big Deathclaw (Probably Alpha). Compare his size to the car on the left and the swing set on the right.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=1m48s That almost looks like a BoS symbol on the Vertibirds "wing", hard to tell though.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=1m51s Enclave Eyebot with an Enclave recruitment poster on the wall.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=1m56s Airship with a Vertibird in Boston. The Midwestern BoS used Airships like that. Lends credence to the theory that the Midwestern BoS and Enclave are allied.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=2m02s A BoS member in a Vertibird with a GNN (Galaxy News Network?) billboard.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=2m06s Flashback of a soldier standing next to a scientist at a Vault location. Question is, why the [censored] is that soldier wearing Advanced Power Armor T-52a, which wasn't developed until 2220. Possible lore break already?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=2m29s Protagonist looks to be same character from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=1m07s, a Pre-War Human. Probably from a cryogenic stasis in a Vault.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4&t=2m32s Distinct sound of a Vertibird starting up and taking off.

I think it says Commonwealth Armory... thought it was something more exotic at first.

To propel it with, I should think. Why use sails or an army of rowmen, when you've got SCIENCE!?

Then how the hell do they get it off the building it's stuck on? An army of Romans? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archimedes

At 2:30 in the trailer the Vault guy puts his arm down and there is some sort of filter dealie on his pip boy... they usually have that? Its a different color(tan-ish) than the pip boy itself(olive drab) Possible pip boy modification?

Good point. I had initially assumed it was more of a dry dock.
Could be that they plan to use the thrusters to propel it off of the building, and into the water?
Perhaps it was retrofitted, prior to the great war, for boston harbor tours or something. ?

That's not advanced power armor....that's the T-45d

One of the many things that I noticed was the airship. Couldn't help but think of the airships talked about in the into of Fallout Tactics. Might put an end to the debate about them.

Look at the Helmet. Those big glowing eyes look like the style of the Enclave's Advanced Power Armor. At least, they look like eyes, it's difficult to make out anything in the face area, above the chest plate, and below those glowing things.

I disagree. Im not getting an Enclave armor vibe anywhere.

Im not familiar with the "debate". I know little to nothing of Fallout:tactics. Weren't the air ships supposed to be lost in a storm? Could these be the "lost" airships?

I think he is referring to the small debate in the lore community if the BoS could have really built zeppelins, since a lot of Tactics didn't fit the rest of the series lore.

It wasn't helped when Bethesda said that "high level" events in Tactics were canon, but didn't describe what that meant, leaving the question of "did they actually have airships" a mystery.

They are clearly a variant of the T-45d. Call it the T-46j. Or whatever.

Yeah, that definitely got my interest too. Question is, is that scene from a flashback, or current? The buildings don't really look worn down.

Some people say that because the canon parts of Tactics aren't yet known, the airships aren't officially part of the lore, or at the least, the BoS didn't have them. I like to believe that they are and they did.

The Chicago offshoot is mentioned in FO3, that's what is canon.

As for whether it's possible for the BoS to build zeppelins... of course it is! Don't you know anything about SCIENCE?

That the MWBoS existed wasn't really debated post Fallout 3.

but saying there are BoS in Chicago doesn't really say how they got there.

Bethesda could have retconed them into walking there for all we knew.

Well hopefully we will get some info on that matter in the future. But if airships are in the game, then it would add to the idea that the brotherhood of steel could have once built airships.

In a grocery store! Apparently their little party was interrupted.

Wonder which BoS we're looking at in the trailer. The vertibirds make me think Elder Lyon's East Coast BoS, i suppose the Eyebots as well, since the East Coast BoS could've recovered that tech from the Enclave. If the zeppelin is current however, and not some flashback, then maybe the Midwestern BoS, with tech from Vault 0.

In the right side of the garage http://content.gamesas.com/bsw_cms_asset/47158_2_0.jpg, there is some sort of Vault-Tec poster with a bunch of Vault Boy animations. I can pick out the ones for Luck and Agility, so I think that confirms SPECIAL is back. As for the rest of them, I am going to assume they are skills, which shows a lot more skills than the previous games.

I hope not, adds too much 'morality' behind the main character.. Hope he doesn't have a family or anything.. Just went into vault for 'vault-tec' ties maybe.. I think the vault-tec idea is weird going by the fact that vault-tec used the vaults as experiment chambers..

I can't see that happening in a Bethesda RPG. But if it did, it would be quite shocking, and not in a good way.
