What did you see in the trailer?

So what little tidbits did you see in the Fallout 4 trailer?

I'll start: It seems the game revolves around vault 111 and things that happened there.

A little less obvious: It looks like the "market area" of the game is inside a baseball stadium...Fenway Park maybe?

I saw this guy:

And I'm quite worried.

I feel like the power armor deserves more love. It's huge and bulky and looks like something that would actually be a game changer in the war, like it's supposed to. If you see someone coming at you in a suit like that, you run. In 3 it was generic and mediocre armor worn by every enemy and friendly soldier. In NV it was way more useful, but looked just as unintimidating. Hopefully the suits in this game will make you feel like a tank. They definitely nailed the look.

Also, the airship has me excited. If only because it reminds me of Tactics.

There was that mysterious-stranger looking guy that has roughly the looks that ive long had planned for my Fallout 4 character. Even with the huge dislike I have for the voiced stuff im sure ill be able to make Caleb come to life with his long duster, large caliber handgun, and being up to his eyeballs in booze and smokes.

The family from the start of the trailer makes it to the Vault when the bombs drop... the vault dweller is probably the child or ancestor

There is nothing to suggest character customization isn't in the game so this is just the default look for the character so I'm no particularly worried about it and assuming the leak is correct playing a per-war person might be fun.

Power armor looks scary, love the German Shepard, ghouls in the store at 1:50 looked like they got a physics overhaul (move more like an animal than a zombie), airship or whatever it was at 1:56 looks sick!

The little thing I loved most about the trailer was the reused http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIBu89ERO2o from Fallout New Vegas. If they were to ever come up with an official theme for the Fallout series, I think that one is very appropriate.

It also gives me hope that in some small way, Bethesda looked into New Vegas during development of Fallout 4.

Even assuming there is.. and that's rather an assumption at this point, what about the unecesarry background stuff?

What if I don't want a character who has a son?

I noticed that the vault jumpsuits appear to be back to being the tight fitting spandex ones from Fallout and Fallout 2, as opposed to the loose cloth ones from Fallout 3 and New Vegas. That was interesting.

I'd say that's a given based on this trailer. It felt more like New Vegas than Fallout 3 to me at least.

Look at the dude's hand wearing the trench coat at 1:42. His right hand appears to be a prosthetic of some sort. Could bionics be an upgrade to our character??

Well they are into making synthetic humans at The Institute so I would think it would be easy for them to bionicly enhance real humans.

Maybe he's one of the cyborgs from The Institute?

Did you check the image link I gave?

It clearly has the player describing a wife and son, and that's worrying for a number of reasons.

And that image *is* the character in the trailer, look at the pattern on the arm.

I noticed that the eyebot loooked polished and brand new, like it just came off the assembly line, as opposed to the eyebots in 3 and ED-E in NV.

I saw a place called Diamond city, and a building that had stone pillars like that of a mausoleum but far larger maybe a historic monument or such? That and the Protectatrons look amazing!

well if your playing as that guy then the games probably doesn't have any character customization although the Vault guy doesn't have anyone with him so I doubt you are him. (probably the kid or ancestor)

Although if there is character customization I don't see what is wrong with being a per war character (not the guy just a per-war person maybe related to the family at best) this would simply allow you to choose whatever background you want for yourself and examine why your character has X skills when they leave the vault.

I saw a mysterious stranger.. Or at least someone wearing the same coat and hat that he did.

We also saw a few vertiberd ( in motion) shots, the u.s.s constintution with great big engines attached and a shot of that and a vertibird flying over the city.

Brotherhood armor that looked to be in stages of construction.

I think I might have also seen a dog. Can't be sure, could have been a supermutant disguised as a dog.. pretending to be man's best friend. Good try supermutant!

OH, and I saw a baby! Hope I don't have to be a baby again.

After watching the trailer twice it seems almost like an Origin story. Either way I really can't wait for it to come out.

How do you figure? The dude in the picture is the same guy as the trailer, in an article written some 2 years before the trailer.

The information there is obviously accurate.
