Having completed all the jobs Eydis Fire-Eyes had for me in Balmora, I decided to head to Ald'Ruhn for more work. Tired of riding the silt striders, Tee-Kento took the scenic route down the foyada mamaea. I got in plenty of practice with my mace against the constant slew of cliff racers and nix hounds, and avoided several http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/Morrowind/firstdaedricruins.jpg, not wishing to test my mettle against such dangerous denizens.
After marveling at the Ghostfence, I continued on to Ald'Ruhn, glad to see a civilized settlement again after the arduous journey. However, the relief was short-lived as Percius Mercius gave me my next job: go far to the north to Vas and help http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/Morrowind/ulynehenim.jpg the Buoyant Armiger to clear out the necromancer that resided therein.
Not wishing to tire myself out, Tee-Kento bought teleportation services at the Mages' Guild to Sadrith Mora, and then chartered a ship to Dagon Fel. Soaked to the skin from the rain, I sought refuge in the End of the World tradehouse overnight before setting out across the mushroom-forested Sheogorad region. Reaching Vas and introducing myself, Tee-Kento headed inside with the Dunmer and instantly knew this would be tougher than originally thought. There were ghosts that my steel mace simply would not affect, and so Tee-Kento was forced to use her Ring of Fireballs, apologizing profusely for any damage it may do to the Dunmer -- all the while being thankful for her natural resistance to it.
As if ghosts were not bad enough, bonewalkers (of the lesser variety, thank the Nine!) were abundant, although manageable. When we reached the tower, however, we encountered a dremora and were forced to flee. I charged up into the tower and struck down the necromancer before he had a chance to cause any harm. However, in the ensuing melee Ulyne was struck down by the dremora and I was forced to activate my Ring of Aversion and flee once more as the dremora and a ghost descended upon me. Mourning the loss of my companion, I called upon the Nine for intervention and felt the strange compression of space as I was torn from Vas and plopped back down in Gnisis.
I headed into the temple to get a cure for the Brown Rot I had contracted from a bonewalker, and to muse on my mistakes in this venture so that I would not repeat them. One thing is clear -- Tee-kento needs a magical weapon.
