What did your Character do today?

Post » Mon Aug 23, 2010 7:33 pm

Ditto except I have school to go to instead of a job. Today my character plans on knocking out a few of the Arcane University Recommendations and doing a few more Arena fights since he has improved considerably since his last match.

My Nord's still on his way to Kvatch, on a seriously ailing horse. How do I keep the horse from dying, by the way?

Get Shadowmere haha she's the best. If you don't want to go in the db at all though only thing you can do is heal with convalescence speels and I think. They heal if you wait for a certain amount of time I believe. Also just keep going and don't get off till you get there. My recommendation is bite the bullet and get shadowmere and just stop doing the DB. She rocks.

Today Camarilla woke up in her prison cell with the oddest feeling of Deja Vu. She had dreamed of having escaped from prison and adventured around the IC area for almost 2 weeks, but was then subjected to several graphic glitches and game breaking stuttering and now she has to start all over. Darn it. I hope the Emperor will be walking down the hallway and opening my prison shortly...wait...what's that sounds?

Spoiler
This is the horse I got from the Priory.
If something tries to attack and I keep riding, I'll lose the rat/wolf/bandit, right? I keep getting off and then the horse gets hurt, or someone starts chasing it away. But if I keep riding, I'll be ok?

I figured that. Just keep riding and you'll probably run into the imperial legion dude near Kvatch. For a wolf id say stop to kill it since they are fast enough to keep up with slow horses.

Talmeril got a great deal on an unusual home in Anvil from a rather eager seller. I'm hoping to locate him at this point to thank him for the unadvertised value-add of the endless marksman target backstops that recharge my mana as I train.

See, I stop, but when I get off the horse attacks it and I can't seem to hit to wolf well without also hurting my horse since it's so close - plus the little horsey gets hurt by the wolf, too, so it's not a great situation . . .

Lol in my experience the priory horse is a wimp haha. The best way to avoid hitting the horse is just use an on touch destruction spell. Wolfs are pretty weak anyways so it shouldn't take you long depending on your level.

Just keep riding. even if the wolf keeps up, most the time, it is running, nto attacking. And eventually you will run into an Imperial Watch memeber, who dispatches the wolf in a few hits.

More like the sound of not messing around with game breaking mods =/. Something affected my savegame to a degree where the graphics are messed up so much its not worth playing. I guess I'll start over.

Well, the COBL mod has now ensured that I can't go change anything in the 'showracemenu', i.e. facial features, hair, eyes etc., without it applying some modifier to my stats and skills, which is just the lamest thing ever. I uninstalled the COBL mod, but the problem remains as it's probably part of my savegame now. Really annoying. Then it also changed the look of all the NPC's, and now most of them are bald with totally black eyes. =(

Lesson learned, new game.

A short but eventfull couple of in game days for Anna.

First came a cave, where she looked away to clean some mud off her boots for a second, and found this stood in front of her the next http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g376/Indep/Oblivion2010-10-0613-11-00-67.jpg .

Then came another new city, after the psychic guards were dealt with, she meet another weird small elf this time waving a bag of coins and gesturing across town and pointing to a clock face.
Liking money and curious she showed up, and with some miming, pictures and diagrams found out that he wanted her to stalk a woman, so she did finding a love note and some old ladies riding breaches to take to the perveted little imp, and after nodding in agreement to all he said even though not understanding a word of it was paid for the job.

In between she found a dashing strong man, who offered to instruct her in grapling wrestling moves, which she gladly excepted as it had been awhile.

Two more jobs followed one she figured was a love rival to the gnomish gits fantasy which had abit of a scuffle, the other was of more interest.. a raid on a wine merchant.
"Maybe these berkish elves are not too bad after all" Anna thought, and the time casing their places left plenty of room for more intensive training too.

The last job was for a scorned lover it seems, Anna had to kill the women and her lovers, she could tell this by the crumpled note which had badly sketched figures with stab marks all over.
So to cover her tracks she planted evidence from the two mens houses on the body of the woman, and on the merchants body..
With the scratch marks and bruises already on the first lovers face from earlier, he was an easy kill, so Anna dragged the body to the edge of his balcony.
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g376/Indep/Oblivion2010-10-0623-55-01-92.jpg , and shoved it over in an apperent suicde..

So my Nord, Benedikt the Drunk, finished his trip to Kvatch, but (being a level 2), quickly turned tail and escaped from the gates of Oblivion. No way he would have survived that. His horse ran all the way through the camp to Anvil without stopping. Once there, Ben first joined the Fighter's Guild, but couldn't continue on his first quest as it was close to midnight. Instead, he went to the Anvil chapel and spoke with the prophet, being given a map and a new important quest. He went inside the destroyed chapel, took some gold (but wasn't about to undress the poor souls who had died there), defeated some ghosts and got himself some ectoplasm. He also found the wine cellar and was in heaven, but had to keep drinking the cheap wine and mead he found since he couldn't carry it . . . which was okay by him!

Camarilla finally awoke in her prison cell with sweat on her brow. Over was the horrible dream that had turned her into a monster with eyes pushed to the side of her face, her muscles bulging to Ogre size and the skies scorched like Oblivion had taken Tamriel. The commanding voices of royal guards rang through the dungeon and their metallic foot steps came closer, bringing her back to full consciousness. In their company was a man who appeared to be...no, indeed WAS the Emperor! Invading her cell and commanding her to stand back, the Emperor suddenly addressed her with an odd tale of murder, faith and destiny. The next moment the guards and the Emperor disappeared through a hidden pathway, leaving her alone with a strange story, strange thoughts, a surprised look on her face and a possible path to freedom....

A corpse was hanging by its feet in the cavern. I knew it wasn't Phane Thierry, who had been killed near Meridia's shrine. The young mage's body had been recovered by the Skingrad chapter, and was buried next to the Great Chapel of Julianos. The cemetery there was well-patrolled by guards, especially after Phane's death.

No, the body suspended from the ceiling of this foul cave was that of some other poor nameless victim. Entrails protruded from an incision running from his briast bone to his crotch. As a hunter, I knew this man or mer was being field dressed like a deer or boar.

Because of the chamber's layout, this would be a fairly short range fight. After applying another combination poison, I fit the tail of my broadhead arrow to Slayer's silk bowstring. Tracking the target with the tip of my arrow as he moved about the cavern, I waited patiently.

He stopped in front of the corpse. Working with a knife and tongs, he started removing organs.

I was glad for my anger, as it prevented nausea.

The impact of my arrow from this range propelled the necromancer into a nearby wall, and forced the air from his lungs. Thanks to the bow's enchantments and some quiet sidestepping, my exact location remained uncompromised. The black robe was unable to cast spells and too badly injured to stand. His life was quickly draining from his body as he stared with confusion at the poisoned arrow imbedded deeply in his chest.

I stepped from the shadows, with another arrow nocked just in case. "You'll be dead in a moment," I purred to the necromancer. "Perhaps I should reanimate you and we could do this a few more times? Would you. . . enjoy that?" I dropped the seductive tone before continuing, "As I told one of your dead comrades in Vilverin: No warning, no quarter."

His eyes registered my words, then rolled back in his head and closed. As the pink glow faded from his body, I added, "Oh, I forgot. I don't know how to reanimate things anyway. Sorry."

I knew clearing this cave had been a necessary task, but I made no pretense of being noble or righteous about my motivation. I had enjoyed killing these necromancers. If I felt hatred for them, I couldn't help that it bubbled forth in the tactics I used. I made no apology for my cruelty when it came to two-legged varmints who would harm those I held dear.

I quickly searched the chamber, anxious to leave the dark stench of Howling Cave.

On my way out of the cave, I thought about Phane Thierry. He would never attend the University, nor fulfill his dream to become an Imperial Battlemage. These black robes had snuffed out his young life. "Rest in peace, guild mate," I whispered. "You are avenged."

Anna's approached the scene of carnage with the feeling of familiarity, dark, ash leaden clouds, slupherous smoke, fires and screaming in the distance all were signs of home.
The towns folk fled on her approach, and several mounted hardheads stormed across the road to engage her lithe winged form..
Having no peace or quarter given since the release from her cage, she gave none back in return.

Asscending the cliff face it was apperant that the barricades were hastily arranged and made to keep something in?
More harmonium berks bleary eyed and ashen of face, peered over the tops tense with anxiety, but there it was! the sensation that drew her it was was it not,,
"Yes yes its a piking gate" she screamed relieved at a chance to be away from this mad world.
The hardheads turned panic and fear in their eyes, too many to fight at once she edged around their clumsy swings, heading towards her first and maybe only hope for home.

A noise, throbbed, hummed, acsended, decended, waxed and waned all at once, the berkish primes groaned and fell to their knees holding their heads low as if to block the wonderous sound out.
Anna turned and started to make her escape.. when shapes appeared ahead, fiends of races she'd never seen before emerged, minor horrors yes but nothing familiar??
They rushed straight at her, gargling screams mixed with the tongue of her captors, only a few words could she understand to be from a planar species.
Dodging, leaping and kicking out, she drew the razor sharp knuckle daggers from the side of her thighs, slashing out to drive back one she speedily spun and flicked out a blow through the ribcage of a horned lizard fiend.
The Hardheads had recovered and suprisingly now saw her as an oppertunity to exploit, and they charged over their defenses and overwhelmed the fiends.

Anna took this as a sign to get going, and lept through the portal, hoping to find answers within, another harmonium patrol must have entered before hand..
For one was battling for his very life in front of her, these stupid alien fiends had no clue of her presence and were no match for a suprise assault, the berk started yammering away so Anna grabbed his throat and heaved him back through the portal to the hell he spawned from.

The throbbing intensified again in this planar realm, it looked like Avernus or maybe the planes of infinite portals, but was too alien and smelled so wrong.
Spying a tower, Anna sought answers and could only think this is where she would find them, strugling to the very top, grim covered and soaked in ichor she spotted the object that could set her free..
A key, the key to this plane, use it and we are free, she knew this to be true, it had to be true, grasping it forcefully she gave a genuine smile, and laughed as the flames acsended and the plane shifted ...
A noise that convulsed to screams, a scream of rage, a scream of fear, a scream of lonliness and finally of failure and despair when she found herself back against the cities barricades.

Hunter, Hunter by name and Hunter by nature. After a long journey, defending the lands against the Deadric invasion, defeating a Mad God's true side, bringing about peace to the lands, Hunter finally came to rest upon the small swampy town of Leyawiin (Damn i can't spell). Wasn't long before his old habit of stealing took a hold, forcing Hunter straight to the castle.

Entering, he found an Orc. Green, disgusting brute - calling herself Mozoga, or something a long those lines. Eyeing her up, Hunter saw that her entire body was covered in full Deadric Armour. It took a lot of strength to hold back Hunter's nerves to shoot her where she stood, but he didn't instead he went along with her plan, and soon after helping her and the Count he was enlisted in protecting the local area from Black Bow Bandits.

Every 20 bows he collected, he was awarded a new item or a new Rank, his collection begun quickly after coming across a war in Rockmilk Caverns. After bringing back 26 bows, Hunter thought this honest killing was great sport. After trudging his way back to the Knights halls he set himself down to sleep, knowing that the next day would be full of some other adventure of others misfortune...

Angel has been frustrated by the denial of a drain-speed spell and has been taking it out on the Daedra of Oblivion. In rapid succession, she has followed in her sister's footprints, closing two gates by killing anything that got in her way. She hasn't even looked at the sigil stones, merely tossing them in storage. I don't think I've ever seen her so angry. She keeps mumbling under her breath about being cheated. Looks to me like she is throwing a tantrum.

Kiva entered the cave. It was quite cool, so she clung to her cloak for warmth. Bloodcrust was it called? Yes that was it. Hassildor had told her to clear out the vampires, so she had persuaded the hunters to assault the cave. She heard the clatter of combat not far away.
She ran quickly through the narrow passages, until she could see a larger chamber where the vampires and hunters were fighting. She figured that having vampire hunters around was better than having vampires, so she summoned her trusty scamp and rushed into the fray.

One vampire was a mage, trying to kill the hunters from afar with spells. Kiva used one of the new spells vigge had taught her for when she went in.
The fireball exploded against the vampire and, with a cry, the vampire crashed into the far wall and started to decompose into dust.
As she turned, she noticed that all but Eridor were dead, and he was badly injured. She felt pity for him, and while she remembered that she would have to get rid of him somehow, murdering him now would be cruel.

"I...I can't feel my legs" he croaked. "Please..."
Kiva knelt down and rested her hand on his leg, channeling the magicka.
"I'm afraid there is too much damage. You only have a few minutes to live." She told him, sadly.
As Eridor stood up, he grimaced. "I guess there is only one thing to do then huh? Thanks civilian. May the divines watch over you."

With that, he charged into the remaining vampires further in.
Kiva tried to follow, but by the time she got there, it was too late. Eridor had decapitated one of the vampires, but one with an invisibility spell came from behind him and stabbed him in the jugular. As the vampire started to feed on the fading lifeblood of Eridor, Kiva took her chance. She drew her sword and sprinted towards the shocked vampire. As the vampire tried to turn, Kiva lunged with her Dwemer scimitar, going through the vampires whole body.

As the vampire was struggling to keep itself together, she whispered "May the goddess have mercy on you" and channeled a fire spell through her sword, burning the vampire to ashes.
She had done what the count had asked. The vampires and the hunters were dead. The information better be worth the price.
