What did your character do today? #3

Post » Wed Sep 29, 2010 12:51 am

J'Keeth (lame name, I know) just did that quest which requires you to get a crystal ball out of a ship, had some trouble with the perished crew, but at least he has a trophy, Redwave.

He also did Raid on Greyland quest, which involved him and a fully armored orc engaging in a serious battle, the green fetcher called my Khajiit a pregnant cow. Kylius Lonavo was somewhat disoriented the whole time, standing right next to us and repeatedly shouting "What?" and "Hello?".

That was fun.

My young Breton Eileen reached a couple of milestones. First, she received the final recommendation she needed for pursuing magical studies at the Arcane Univerity. Second, she finished her grand foot tour of Cyrodiil, traveling the entire length of each of the province's major roadways, gathering many flora specimens along the way for alchemical research.

She's been sleeping and stashing belongings at Weynon Priory. Brother Jauffre is getting annoyed; he feels that if Eileen isn't willing to assist the Blades with their concerns, then she needs to move on. Perhaps she'll take up temporary residence at one of the Mages guild halls, as she's still a bit short on coin to purchase any of the houses she saw for sale in the cities. Maybe she'll herself make some money through potioncraft; she certainly has plenty of resources for that now.

She came to the Imperial City for the Arcane University, but found herself tossed in jail shortly after arriving there, rounded up in a skooma raid at the Feed Bag. She was innocent of any crime, but had all of her coin and posessions seized regardless. She's had to start her life over completely from scratch, but her wits and skills have put her back on her path forward, perhaps stronger and wiser than before.

Amassing septims from loot and awaiting the right time to descend from Bruma into the rest of Cyrodiil. How much money he will have will be reported in the appropriate thread soon :twirl:

Yesterday, my character got lost in the wilderness after experimenting with some ancient Ayleid artifacts. They ended up sending him all the way to the base of the Valus mountains in the middle of nowhere. He spent the rest of his day trying to find his way to Cheydinhal.

Bad News : Started a new character, a Kahjiit magical thief, killed a few rats, a zombie, a Mythic Dawn assassin, and one goblin, all with hand to hand, before my better half told me to get off that bloody game.
Good News : because she wanted me to make pancakes.

Today my Khajiit entered Shivering Isles. Had little trouble with the Gatekeeper, although Mr Ice-Veins was just standing there acting useful with his bow drawn out. Bad things swarmed J'Keeth while travelling to New Sheoth, as wildlife kept attacking. He contracted two diseases, Witbane and Swamp Fever. Since he has no potions nor ingredients for them to cure his diseases, he's quickly travelling back to Cyrodiil before he dies.

Went to Cheydinhal to join the Dark Brotherhood, stared at the pet skeleton, then went outside the city gates to watch Legion soldiers hunting deer.

Hunted Black bow bandits after killed that retried Imperial swine that make being in the Dark Brotherhood a hard time. Received 1k in gold for not killing Scar-Tail and ripped a Argonian heart out. A Messy and bloody affair. Very testy though but cannot eat the proof.

I know. I'm a sick puppy.

Lielle Auralie was walking down the road leaving Leyawin after helping Mazoga The Orc and the Count of Leyawin with their problems. It rained the whole time she was in Leyawin but as she left the city gate, the sun came out and she enjoyed seeing her shadow on the road as she walked. The birds were singing and the deer were swimming. It put her mind at rest finally and she thought she'd stop in to visit Mazoga for a moment when she passed the White Stallion Lodge up ahead. Her thoughts were carefree at that moment but when she turned to look at the ripples in the water, her gaze was caught by an open Gate To Oblivion to the right, ruining the moment. Peacefulness is so fleeting in troubled times but she knew what she had to do next. That gate had to be closed before she could head back to the Imperial City...

My new character, Gul the orc, traveled from the sewer exit to Cheydinhal, then to Bruma, then to Chorrol, all on foot. Then in he did the Separated At Birth quest, and so ended up walking all the way back to Cheydinhal. After all that, he wandered over to Skingrad. And that's it thus far lol. I'm not using fast travel with this character, in an attempt to explore a bit more :)

Today Lissa trained her skills in restoration with Carahil. She had lunch with her sister and flirted with Caenlorn. She has odd taste in men :P

My imperial knight woke up in the knights of the thorn HQ. He then went to the Cheydinhal fighters guild to train is marksman skill a bit. Once he was satisfied, he went hunting in the valus mountains, killed a few bears and trolls. At sunset, he was at a bandit camp near an ayleid ruin in the jerral mountains, he will sleep there before going to dive rock tomorrow.

Mara, my Bosmer markswoman, ran around along the Niben Bay coast all morning hunting for crabs. She's getting really good with her bow.

Not much to report right now, just finished moving into my new home at Frostcrag Spire from my Waterfront Shack.

The main reason for the move was the improved storage for all the treasures that I have amassed, for I simply required extra container space to keep things nice and organized. I did leave several things behind in the shack, though, since I still intend to use it as a home. Frostcrag is simply my vault now, at least until I can take inventory of what I wish to keep and sell.

J'Keeth explored the Shivering Isles a bit today, cleared out a Zealot camp, brought Sickly Bernice her cure (which, apparently, didn't do any good), put Hirrus Clutumnus out of his misery, got a brand new (lesser) Amber Bow from a smith in Bliss.

Oh, and Grummites with their attribute-damaging poisons - annoying.

My newest character, Quillan the Altmer mage, nearly drowned today after picking up an enchanted ring inside a well. In order to be able to move again and avoid drowning he had to strip to his underwear, and drop literally everything he was carrying. Stupid ring.

Haha, no, it was Caenlorn. She has a strange attraction to Bosmers. Especially blond ones :P

Also today Lissa sent a letter to her friend Helena Aurelie via the black horse courier.

My Wood Elf, Arryn Valker, explored more of the West Weald. A furore into Goblin Jim's cave, systematically wiping out the occupants, attempted to talk to Goblin Jim, which wasn't well recieved, so had to take him out. After that i stumbled upon the small settlement of Hackdirt, which, was clearly a suspicious place, didn't exactly recieve the warmest of welcomes, considered staying at the Inn but intuition told me not too, lockpicked my way into one of the houses and discovered Hackdirt tunnels. Happened to land pretty much on top of one of the residents, so subdefuge wasn't an option, had to take him out with my blade. The others all fell in the darkness, having no place to hide with the Cowl of Nocturnal equipped. Discovered Dar-Ma in a cage, set her free, and attempted to make a sly get away. Unfortunatley, she thought it would be a better idea to blazenly walk through the settlement and subsequently alert every person in the area. Took out the remaining assailants and beat a hasty retreat... that's my day so far anyway.

EDIT: Afterwards, did a bit more exploring, took the adoring fan to dive rock, killed him a few times, then left him there, standard.

(Out of Char) Lots of entries since, notable ones by Buffy, Arch-mage Renan and the mage hunter running into the Trollish Jihad (LOL!)...

(IC) Frequently becoming more reclusive and aloof in my newly acquired dwelling in Frostcrag; I hear Telvanni High-mages live in organic towers made of mushrooms, which are inaccessible but to the most apt in the school of alteration. Bah, poppycock, though one must not discount anything as unfeasible in the face of multi-faceted realities, by word of the Psijics. Had to give a lecture on 'The tenuous nature of demi-planes' but my progressively worse social condition decided against it. I did request the help of one apprentice, a hayseed named Bertrum, to accompany me in an expedition for a collector of Ayleid artifacts: he promptly died, mawled by a wolf. One less inept amongst our ranks.

Made some potions at the end of the day, one exploded: I am now much older as a result. Back to Frostcrag spire, where I can finally read and have some rest, lich-dust still peppering my robe...
