What did your character do today? #3

Tundra H. Wolf, the nord anti-spellcaster-jihad fanatic, after hitting level 11, took the first step on his mission to wipe out the mages guild of cyrodiil, he hung around outside chorrol guild house for the day, watching the comings and goings, then entered before they locked up shop, hiding in a room, then creeping in and slaughtering the blondie altmer that sleeps on the ground floor.
He thought he'd gotten away with it, as the altmer had no time to cry out, but as he pilfered some alchemy gear a guard came running in and arrested him.
He spent ten days in jail, suffered some serious skill decay, then reassessed his plans. He now had the key for the guild upper floors, but was not keen to spend anymore time behind bars, so he bought a chestnut horse and rode to the imperial harbour, where he hung around till midnight and made contact with the thieves guild, hoping they could help him with any further bounties incurred before his purge was complete.

My alchemist was low on both bollete mushroom caps and wisp stalk caps, so he decided to go out and collect some. Delving into some misty cave, he seems to have hit the mother-load; dozens of his ingredients were spread out all throughout the cave. Prancing around the cave in his ecstasy, he fails to notice the troll he has just bumped into. After letting out a fearsome, guttural scream, the troll charges towards the careless imperial, throwing him across a rather large chamber they were in with one massive swipe of its arm. Quickly realizing the situation, the imperial casts a weak invisibility spell in an attempt to save his own skin. He gets no more than 6 feet past the troll when it dissipates, leaving him exposed. He thinks.. "is this the end?" when he quickly remembers the scroll he bought off of some high elf in the imperial city, one which contains a powerful calm spell. Dodging yet another blow, he casts the spell, leaving the lumbering beast stopped in its tracks, while he nimbly makes his escape.

The rewards of his endeavor:

10 Carrien Bollete caps
6 Wisp Stalk Caps
HIS LIFE

:D hooray poison and restore health ingredients.

Got back to the AU today after being out of town for 3 (in-game) days on an expedition with a fellow Mage Apprentice (CSR mod). However, I immediately hit the Feed Bag as my comrade was killed in the last ruin we were studying and the entire trip back was solemn. After a quick funeral ceremony in the Arboretum where I place his Robe and Dagger next t an area we used to study at, Octavius hit the bar and after having several bottles of cheap wine (made cool by the screen blurring inebriation effect) he dropped 600 gold at the Arena in just 3 hours (I honestly have never had that bad of luck before!).

The downward (cliche) spiral has begun it would seem.

Sniffed out someone called Alawen. Learnt what that one knew about notching a bow. Bought a mansion, played with a lich, dispatched some ectoplasmic beastlies.

Well, sadly, the level 12 mage-hunter T.H. Wolf took a wrong turn while fleeing from no less than six cave trolls, and ended up in a dead end, and then promptly dead, head and body mangled into the ground, so much for his holiest of jihads, the mages guild of cyrodill can officially relax.

Not to worry, out from the imperial subterrane came Sog Yoth, the ancient and haggard breton witch, and up into the mountains she crept, stealing vegetables from farmyards, and tatty clothes from houses, and gathering herbs during the night, on her way to the wizards tower she knew to lie high up in the snowdrift. She came uponn it at dawn and harvested the garden therein, cooking up a great brew, for she cannot use spells of the restoration school, they make her feel so sickly and sweet and weak, instead she must rely on healing potions, and use her sneaky feet for advantage, before blitzing enemies, and hiding behind her summoned hands.
To bruma she went, more spells for to buy, spreading terror among beasts, and plundering caves and ruins for loot, for money, for power, and for all that lovely furniture to decorate her tower with... mehehehe

(how much fun am i having with this one? a million fun)

Arcmaster, my Redguard ranger, went into the quaint little berg of Skingrad and looked for shops to peruse. A tall Elvish lady shopkeeper told him she was new to the area, and wondered if the penalty for necrophilia was the same there as it was in her home land!! WTF?

edit: from the uesp..."Falanu Hlaalu is a Dunmer alchemist and the proprietor of All Things Alchemical in Skingrad. She sells alchemy apparatus, potions, and ingredients. She also seems to have a disturbing penchant for necrophilia."

I ran as fast as I could away from the 20 zombies quickly donning my cloak of chameleon as I slipped into the shadows. I heard a argonian lass calling for help as she was viciously mauled by the merciless zombies. Finding new courage I leapt from the shadows bow in hand and quickly dispatched 12 of the zombies. As the zombies realised I was back they turned towards me hoping (i hoped) to die I granted them their wish ( probably) and saved the argonian lass the city loved me and so I left in my dark hood and long billowing robe riding into the sunset. My name is openharden faditore. I am a master assassin.

Well, these didn't happen today, but here's what's been happening with my characters lately:

Stav the Imperial completed the Dark Brotherhood quests, which were a lot of fun!

Malvolio the Wood Elf thief broke out of jail, went on a crime spree, stole a horse, rode up the Jerall Mountains, got chased by loads of wolves, started to ride down the Jeral mountains, only for his horse to trip. The horse fell down and died. Malvolio then proceeded to fall down after the horse, and also die. Poor Malv, he doesn't have a good time when I play as him! He's a bit of a bad thief too, actually. He doesn't have enough sneak skill, so he almost always gets caught. So I just make him run away!

Alaric the Argonian hooligan went on a crime spree! (there seems to be a pattern here...) He started off by punching one of the guys who always tries to give you the Black Horse Courier, leading to him getting caught by the guards. He then proceeded to resist arrest, kill several guards with his bare hands, and run out of the imperial city. After spending a day in the wilderness, he saw a guard on horseback in the distance. He quickly hid in a destroyed building, and waited for the guard to come closer so he could kill him and steal his horse. The guard came closer, and Alaric leapt out at him! However, there were actually two guards! In a blind panic, Alaric punched the first guard, who got off of his horse and started to chase him. Alaric then ran and stole his horse, and ran away from the both of them. After a while, Alaric and the stolen horse were attacked by wolves. While trying to kill the wolves, Alaric accidently punched the horse, leading it to turn on him! So he had to kill the horse, too. I'm pretty sure last time I saved Alaric still had a massive bounty on his head...

The Argonian Warlord and his army of Argonians invaded Cheydinhal today and overthrew the Dunmer. The Imperial Council isn't happy about this and has declared war against the Black Marsh. The second battle of Cheydinhal is about to commence.

Well, my character (Captain Ezribeth Windflower of the HIMS Dwemereth Ascendant) was just contacted by a myterious, cloaked stranger (who does not care for being called 'cliched') who offered her emloyment recovering three Great Welkynd Stones, one in Argonia in an ancient temple (stolen in a raid on the wreckage of the Balmora mages guild, where it was the property of Archmage Trebonius' successor), one in Skyrim in High Hrothgar for god's only know what reason, and one in Cyrodiil, in the estate sale of one Umbacano.

Fun times.

I restarted Helena Aurelie, so as to start work on her journal.

I rather wanted Helena to walk to Chorrol after she escaped the sewers and deliver the amulet to Jauffre before taking a wander down to Anvil to join the Mages Guild, and she was perfectly satisfied with that idea. Until she went to the Arcane University when she was in the Imperial City after leaving the Sewers. The day after she was on a carriage to Anvil which arrived at 3PM. She wanted to seem eager to earn Carahil's favour and friendship. So she stayed at The Counts Arms, then went to see Carahil at precisely 8AM. After Carahil granted her membership, Helena bought yet another outfit (the 4th in 4 days!) and decided to explore Anvil. Before long she was chatting to Maelona, who asked her for help regarding a gang of thieves. She agreed.

However, she promptly forgot all about it when she went back to the Guild Hall to rest for her recommendation quest the next day.

?thelwald, my mage, continued trying to attain recommendations from every Mages Guild hall. He's just got the Bruma one, and is now heading to Cheydinhal.

Rasdor, my Imperial assassin, is still running from the law due to his murder of Glarthir. He also had a strange visit in the night....

Harry, my noble, willful, knight is traveling around Cyrodiil in search of the Great Shines. He will destroy the heathen Urmaill for the glory of the great Eight and One!

Uhtred, my proud Nord axe-man, is wandering Cyrodiil raiding ruins. :P

My new character, just started today because I'm all excited about Skyrim and it's so hard to wait.... :D

She's just going to enter the sewers leading from the Imperial Prison after speaking with Baurus. The emperor was just assassinated before her eyes and she couldn't help to stop it. She has the Amulet of Kings and is still in shock, not even remotely realizing the complete magnitude of these events and the importance and power of the amulet. She was just sitting quietly in her cell, arrested because someone in the crowded market area was pickpocketed and she was pointed out by mistake. No one would listen to her protestations of innocence. She can defend herself with a long sword but is better at magic and she'll use whatever means necessary to get to Jauffre because the Emperor asked her to just before dying. The future of the Empire is at stake.

Man, I love this game. :)

The latter half of my day in Cyrodiil was spent traveling by horse to Skingrad from Anvil, where I would rest for the night before continuing on to Cyrodiil City. It was a busy couple of days, but I've finally accomplished the task I set to myself. I'm sure Bothiel will be pleased to see these Dwemer artifacts in her hands at long last.

Having survived through tough training, intense discipline and lust for knowledge of all combat, by hand and magical, Freazhder took his time to examine an undead dungeon. He must learn what exists in these and how to dispatch them efficiently if he is to survive Sancre Tor. Rielle was first, and this was an education. He will continue to look through Places haunted by the undead. Maybe soon, he will start the vengeance against those who bring these undead abominations back to unlife. Soon. He is still looking for a Frost Titan. Somehow, these Lords of Minotaur Lords fascinate him.

heard about a lost husband,so I looked up a nice, worried woman and I ended up in a fort somewhere.
cleaned out the fort with bandits but the husband ended up dead,to bad, got a book for my troubles, besides regular loot.

took the opportunity to take a look at the surrounding area around the fort and discovered some chapel across the sea, think I visit there soon, also an old ruin looked interesting, but the chapel first.
feel a bit inexperienced for old ruins, guess I wait with that, besides I found some strange drinks in a chest by the fort, need to find out more about that as well.

My hubbie just bought an insanely huge flatscreen HD TV, so I fired up Oblivion on the PS3 for the first time in years. Going back to vanilla Oblivion on console was actually quite great.

So my Breton Battlemage just got out of the sewers. She didn't want to have any part of the whole Emperor and his unknown son business, so she hurried over to Jauffre, gave him the amulet and told him she would leave it at that. Having given the amulet as promised, and explained the situation to Jauffre, she felt no more responsibility for it. She continued to Chorrol, joined both the Fighters and the Mages Guild, and sold off the loot she had gotten on her way from the jail cell to Chorrol. She helped a poor guy who was worried about her sons fighting off goblins at their farm. Unfortunately, one of the sons died in the battle, but at least they fought off the goblins.

Her next stop would be to tell the Mages Guild about Earana's plans about that mysterious book... Later she would try her luck in the Arena.

A snip from Episode 84 of Buffy's Journal:

* * *
While aiming Slayer at the Netherboss, I could see the skirmisher off to my right side. I was actually concentrating on an illusion spell.

The bowstring was still snapping forward when my now empty right hand spiked out to one side and fired a spell toward the skirmisher at the other end of the cavern.

Dark with poison, the Netherboss spiked the air with a hand, but no magicka blossomed. The skirmisher, now under my command, launched a vicious attack against the spellcaster. I nocked a second arrow and waited.

The Netherboss wielded his mace to defend himself, but it was too late. Poisoned, pummeled and unable to cast spells, he fell. My arrow hit the skirmisher in the center of his back, driving him against the stone wall. As his glow faded and he slid to the ground, Azura's Star sang the final haunting note of this battle to clear Exhausted Mine.

After shouldering Slayer, I allowed a tiny flame to leap from one fingertip to the head of my torch.

Searching this final small grotto revealed an unusual amulet around the neck of the Netherboss. It was beautifully ornate, with a large jade stone set in gold. There was an inscription on the back, clearly identifying the rightful owner.

As I tucked the amulet into one of the pouches on the outside of my pack, I said quietly, "Be at ease, Kayleen. Corrick will get this back. He can now live out his days in the home you made together."
