What if I didn't Preorder?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 9:25 pm

I did not preorder FNV because I was not paying attention to the release until now and I am wondering if I should be able to get a copy first day? I only want to go to Gamestop because I have credit there so should they have enough?

It'll depend on your region but i have honestly never seen a game sell out completely in my area. Even if one store runs out of copies another one should have it. Now if you mean the midnight release i don't think you can do that unless you preorder.

They probably won't run out, but I hope this serves as a lesson to you young man / lady / sentient-spambot. Always pre-order the awesome games or they might run out. :goodjob:

Probably. For big titles like this most stores order extra copies. Just go early. Unfortunately you'll miss out on the pre-order pack, but those will probably be offered for sell as DLC in the future anyway.

Random people on the internet won't know if the specific store you live by will have enough copies for you to pick one up on release day without a copy being reserved for you. I would call your local store and ask them, and possibly pay the $5 down or whatever to preorder, thus making sure you get a copy, and netting yourself the preorder bonus.

You will probably be able to get it but you can count on it that the CE will be sold out. But there is no limit to how early you can preorder so you can go out and get yourself a Classic Fallout Pack. :)

I doubt they will be accepting pre-orders hours before the game hits the shelves.

Really depends on how many copies the store gets, I know alot of online stores stop taking pre-orders already but while I was at gamestop paying of the game today a guy in line in front of me put his money down on it.
I really don't know if you'll be able to get a copy or not but i wish you luck.

If it guarantees them a sale, they'll do it. This usually also includes calling day of release and asking them to hold a copy for an hour while you drive over.

EDIT: yes you can preorder over the phone and online at gamestop. Just go to the website, or call the store tomorrow.

Don't ask us. Call them and ask. That is much faster than posting on a forum.

Well I can't really say because.. well.. I don't know where you live, or how busy it is there lol. What I can tell you is that if I tried this, then yeah I'd definitely get the game there and then. But that's because I live in a [censored] little town in Scotland where nothing ever gets sold out.

I doubt they'll be offered up for sale, but nothing is stopping modders from making items with the exact same stats.

Ok i live in South-eastern WI and not too much sells out(ex.Halo Reach, Fallout 3, MW2-All didn't sell out) so I think I'm good.

Gamestop sometimes will take pre orders up until the day before the release. I have walked into gamestop and put my 5 bucks down hours before a midnight launch. Call them and ask.

Gamestop is not going to have them until Friday I heard. Besides they will probably release the preorder bonuses as DLC later on.

I didn't preorder Halo Reach and I walked right into Gamestop after class and picked me up a copy. So yeah, If I got Reach without preorder I'm sure you can get NV.

If you can't just walk into your local Wal-Mart.
