What didn't you eat today?

Post » Sat Apr 26, 2014 3:39 am

So this is a topic for sharing exotic and bizarre foods that you've heard of, or simply wacky things people have eaten that you would not eat.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhut_Jolokia is something I'm probably never going to eat, there's a video on youtube of someone eating it that is pretty funny, but I'm not a masochistic eater, and that seems to be the main drawcard of this chili.

I bet those peppers would be really good integrated into an omelet. Use lot's of butter to cook the omelet and it will level it out some.

Any fruits or vegetables. I've had pork, chicken and pepperoni and some grains from breads. And a bit of Swiss cheese

Dock dock, it rhymes with....nevermind.

I didn't anything today except a turkey, cheese and mustard sandwich. I wouldn't eat escargo or whatever it's called. Snails are not a delicacy.

Those peppers are actually very flavorful and delicious.

I would not eat http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_egg though

Escargot

Very nice too

Still you might as well eat shellfish cooked with butter and garlic, they'll taste much the same

Yeah, but at least you won't be eating snails.

I don't think that's an appropriate question to be asking, if it's not on someone's profile then it's impolite and creepy to ask.

I'm not mature enough to engage in intellectually stimulating topics such as this one.

Don't get the dislike for snails

One mollusc is much the same as another

Most of the flavour comes from what you cook it with since they don't have much of their own

You avoided my edit

I'd eat snails if they were on the plate, but it's not something I feel comfortable ordering, fancy french or no asking a waiter to bring you snails is something I'm not psychologically equipped to do. I'm too immature not to be laughing the whole time.

I remember a friend of mine describing snails as being like carpet backing in tomato sauce. Tempting, but they look a bit suspicious to me.

I won't eat organ meat, e.g. brain, stomach, liver, spleen, intestines, etc. I also don't eat reptiles.

It was obviously meant as an "how immature" thing, but uh, yeah. Sure.

I'm pretty sure that's not food. Anywhere. At least I sure hope not.

As for another food I wouldn't eat, and in spirit of the original intent of this thread, here is something I could not eat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casu_marzu Even without the health concerns the very idea is sickening to me.

Still inappropriate mate. Age isn't something you need to know to gauge maturity, and I still think it's creepy to be asking that. No matter what the context is.

Courage and determination isn't edible, though.

No doubt Google has also taken note of your interest in the subject.

That depends on how metaphorical we're trying to be. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/junk-food-vs-spunk-food-m-joan-juttner-md/1115685406?ean=9781481296205

Sheep brains actually aren't too bad, chicken liver is pretty nice too [If that's the thing in roast chickens, not the stuffing, the stuff at the bottom).
