What disgusts you

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 7:09 am

What disgusts me? A few things, I guess. The only one I have to deal with on a regular basis though is my kitchen sink. Dishes get thrown in there, with bits of food on them, and there is just something about food coming in contact with water that I absolutely cannot stand. It's almost impossible for me to do the dishes, so I should count myself lucky that there are other people in my household who do it instead :P

Me too! I thought I was the only one! I'm not insane! :twirl: Whenever I'm alone in the house for a few days, I always give my dishes an immediate rinse or puppy pre-wash cycle, and then immediately into the dishwasher. I also don't mind washing my own dishes right after I eat, but I dislike touching other people's dishes. I don't understand how my mom just lets the frying pan or mixing bowl just soak for hours with water, it is nasty. :yuck: Whenever I bake, I immediate rinse and scrub the mixing bowl out with hot water.

  • Sushi instantly trips my gag reflexes.
  • A plate that smells eggy.
  • A recycling bin full of pop cans
  • Mold
  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQmFWYWqTZA
  • People who don't clean their ears
  • People who have dirt finger nails
  • People with weird finger nails or in other words they don't look like mine.

That last one was a joke.

Old food encrusted on dishes. Just walking by my kitchen sink makes me gag.

Flipping through a medical journal. I can't believe I'm going to be studying this stuff soon. :cryvaultboy:

:lmao: Maybe you should rethink your career choice then?

Oh, and for the party we had yesterday my family tired a spinach pie recipe. I do like spinach, but that was disgusting :yuck:

@ Youtube video, I believe that is a 'tubifex' worm nest, according to several comments on the video anyhow.

Nothing wrong in that at all. I hate it too. Emphasis on the tight clothes part.

The deal with the fat people/tight clothes thing is how far it's taken. I don't like guitar music; for whatever reason I just dislike the sound of the instrument, and the crazy guitar solos that it seems everyone else loves are things that ruin a song for me. But I don't consider it a "lesser" form of music, that the people who play them are inferior musicians, or that others should be encouraged not to play or listen to these songs. Everyone has their dislikes, so there's typically nothing wrong with the blunt statement of "I dislike ____". To the guy who first said it, yes, it makes you sound like a jerk, but that's because pretty much anything negative said about anyone will sound like that. It's why some people get so uppity with their political correctness.

Taking it further into a judgement of the person is when/if it becomes wrong, since ultimately the only thing being said is "I think this factor of their appearance is disgusting". I could look at anyone, pick any random thing about the way they look, and tell them it's repulsive. It would be exactly as valid a statement.

Also vomit, I can't even stand the sound of someone puking. And cold mashed potato makes me gag, not because it's gross in any particular way, just if I try eat it I usually gag.

I only read page one, but I agree with this, sort of. I cant eat potatos unless its in chips or "fries" to americans (even then I still may feel ill). Its just the texture vof it that makes me feel like I am going to be physically sick.

And obese people. I am overweight, but I would never let myself get as bad as some people, its worse when they wear clothes that are too small and you can see their stomach. Atleast by proper fitting clothes for [censored]s sake.

Edit :
Having a piece of beef or something and biting into gristle.

This, I forgot about tis, but, I dont know why it jsut turns me sick.

True. However, even if you're fat, I obviously have no problem with it, but wearing tight and revealing clothes when you're fat isn't appealing. It's like that really scrawny guy who posts flexing shots on facebook.

Thought I was the only one! I use eggs a lot but hate the smell they leave (whether raw or cooked). After I'm finished with them the kitchen gets a thorough cleaning! What's even funnier is that most other people can't even smell it.

People spitting in public.

I've noticed that immigrants from certain countries (especially men) have a propensity to do this and it really gets on my nerves when I'm in a place like San Francisco (which has a large population of those "certain people".)

I'm pretty indifferent to what people wear. It reminds me of old-timey scandal when a woman exposed a little ankle, it's not like the clothes changes what's underneath. But then, fashion rules never make sense.

Do tight and revealing clothes actually look good on anyone? I figure in almost all cases probably not as good as they think they do. Then again, I'm not comfortable unless I'm wearing my house.

Being a baby must have been pretty tough for you. :P

That's technically the only time you're supposed to drink milk.

Saliva is basically water is it not? :P

Well it has enzymes and stuff that break up food. I wish my sink water did that.

When im not on my path, not on my mission, not doing what I should be doing and wasting my time away.. that disgusts me very much.

Looking good in tight and revealing clothing? That's more than half of any female heroines of all games and movies ever :hubbahubba:

Not so much on normal, or rather "average" people :hehe:

I have many things that disgust me, lemme name a few.

1. Public restrooms in Africa. Lemme just say right now, they are not a party that you want to be invited to.

2. Many of the poor in Kenya did not take showers. That led to some serious BO.

3. Bad Drivers, especially in Africa.

4. People who equate religion with evil.

Don't mind general occasional spitting, but chewing tobacco spit is nasty.

The smell of vomit, whether animal or human.

Not because it's disgusting, but most perfume makes me gag...eg, I can't breathe. Many women need to learn that a little of that stuff goes a long way.

If I see someone using the same board they cut raw meat on to do other food prep...or anything similar in the kitchen.
