What DLC would you like to see......?

Post » Wed Sep 08, 2010 3:03 am

I don't want DLC, they are, most of the time, useless and a waste of time. Expansions are the way to go and what most people want. I will be most disappointed in Beth if we get those stupid Horse Armor DLC's again.

Nothing that drastically changes the play balance.

i.e, no level cap increases if there is a cap, no vastly stronger monsters or equipment (Broken Steel/Zeta/Anchorage), etc.

Honestly, I'd prefer as little DLC as possible, but that's not likely given the modern gaming industry. (I'm still waiting for a "complete edition" of Mass Effect 2, to play the DLC. No interest in buying anyone's custom currency, to deal with their proprietary online store, etc, etc, etc I skipped most FO3 DLC, am not getting any FO:NV DLC, didn't get any Dragon Age DLC, etc....)

I don't know if all of High Rock would be feasible for an expansion. Orsinium on the other hand, would be awesome

Wheres the fun in that?

And I don't really like house DLC.Sure, the ones in Oblivion were pretty cool and there were a few quests associated with them, but after a while the novelty wears off, unlike beating people up in crusaders armor after the Knights of the Nine DLC.I think house DLC should be left to modders really.Imo,houses are quite pointless unless you can collect something and put it on a stand there (think Bobbleheads) or they offer some bonus which is better than simply Well Rested, maybe it would help somehow if Skyrim had a hardcoe mode?

Agreed. The home/castle mods were quite a bit better than what Bethesda put out IMO. The armor and weapon mods were better as well. I would prefer that Bethesda focus on putting out high quality expansions and leave the little stuff to the modding community. Bethesda has the budget that modders don't so they should do what the modders can't. I would love to see an expansion that takes us to Summerset Isles or perhaps another plane of Oblivion.

Expansions aside, I'd be happy with mini-packs for new clothing, armor, weapons and spells etc...

If i want to buy all official DLC's for Oblivion i will spend $ 25,31... (€ 18,09) ; (£ 15,55)

I was hopeful this time Bethesda will comes with a very good expansion game in late 2012 / early 2013 for Skyrim, and leave the rest to modders, but I think that will not be so, unfortunately.

Said that, every DLC that will bring new interesting content for history and gameplay will be nice... But i want that Skyrim, on the other hand, will be patched if and when necessary.

No, that deserves a whole game of it's very own. An expansion couldn't do it justice.

Like I said before I'd prefer an expansion over DLC. But if we must get DLC, perhaps something like spell tomes, only with new weapons or armor or both?

werewolf romance companion
Now this could go places!

"So how did you become a Werewolf?"

"Me lady-friend got a little over-excited one night and-

"Nevermind, forget I asked."

Hopefully there will be no DLC, and we'll get real expansion packs.
Apparently Todd said no to expansions, or at the very least said they weren't satisfied with how they worked.

I liked to expension packs and so on, but i thought the Horse armor, Wizards tower where a bit lame cuz there were no quests or nothing. The DLC in the Fallout games were much more fun, like ''Dead Money'' ... it was awesome.

I want a full blown expansion. But, we will never get it thanks to the DLC market.
