What does legendary actually mean

Post » Thu May 09, 2013 1:32 pm

I read the following about legendary: "With the version 1.9 official patch installed, when a skill reaches 100, it can be made Legendary; reverting the skill to level 15 and returning assigned perks to be spent. This removes the original level cap of 81"

I think I'm missing something. Why would you want to get a skill back to level 15? And what do they mean by "original cap of 81." I've gotten a couple of skills past 81 up to 100. Like I said, I think I'm missing something basic here.

Before, with all skills at 100 you were level 81. With Legendary Skills, you can reset a tree to go even further than level 81.

If you have a skill at 100, you have the option to reset it so you can bypass the level 81 cap :)

by Cap of 81 they mean player level, not Skill Level.

Now, when you make a Skill Legendary, you can get your player level to keep rising as you train this skill again.

So potentially, if you made a skill legendary enough time, you will have enough perk points to get every perk avaliable..

Someone wanna remind me how many times you would have to go legendary for that many perk points?

I think you have to be level 252. The actual cap is around 63355.

Or put it all into health

This is why I do not do the legendary thing yet, a little too OP IMHO. Plus, I am only in the level 30's so far.

makes me wonder... is their a limit on how high of health the game will register?

Meaning, if you upgraded it to much, it would roll over and you would die from having 0 maximum health?

I would think something as simple as 999999. I remember having a Morrowind character have health in the thousands

A couple months back I did the Fortify Restoration glitch to make myself a ring that gave me a million or or more health.

but from what I have read, perk points roll over at some point (two hundred something.. I think..), so it may be possible for health to roll over as well

I never knew that  If that is true, then I can see health/magicka/stamina doing the same.

Wasnt the point also though that the difficulty level was raised? or should my comment go in the "things you never knew thread" :-)

You are talking about legendary difficulty not the skill reset thing.

Yes but the thread isn't about the difficulty, it was about the skill reset thing, the op even said that much in in their first post.

It's not op. Why do you think they gave us legendary difficulty to go with legendary skills? And you dn't have to go up that high. If you just want to get to 60 lets say, you can do that but you only have to use skills you actually use, not ones outside your class just to get perks.
