What DOES it take to defeat a heavy?

Your theory is flawed! have you ever played an MMO? :P

This isn't really based on MMO-style. I believe
Wraith is correct; out think your enemy don't try to out gun him.
Have a Soldier put suppressing fire, have the engineer lay a turret down on his flank, Medic can also suppress(as well as heal) , and Op could disguise himself and surprise him

WHY is everyone trying to fire high-caliber machine gun rounds from a tiny sub-machine gun!?!? You can't use any ammo with any gun, guys. Brink isn't THAT off-the-wall.

We've seen them survive a direct hit from a grenade launcher

Direct hits from a grenade launcher only knock them back - the grenade never explodes and just riochets off the body.

Imagine launching a hand grenade at someone's gut at full force. They'd get hurt a fair amount and fall on thier [censored], but the grenade still has yet to explode.

Your comparing apples to oranges man. It doesn't work that way.

Yay! I hated how direct impacts were insta kills in other games.

The most rewarding thing I ever did when I played Modern Warfare 2 was killing people with body shots using the noob tube.

Sorry, I'm that special kind of [censored], and I find it hilarious.

A good sniper?

Or a party of lights. They are easy to attack because of their speed.

Just another reason to really devoted fan over Brink!

I should totally use that in recruiting people to the Ark Guest Cruise. "Grenade Lauchers that aren't Noobtubes".

EDIT: There's an auto censor for really devoted fan? Hm. Also, I used it in the verb sense, not the noun, so now my sentence is grammatically incorrect >:I

What does it take to defeat a Heavy?

Errrrrrrrrrrrr...... Lots and lots of bullets (and trying to reload and survive while you are doing it)?

For a Light going against the Heavy.... lots and lots
of running, jumping and shooting (or ducking and shooting from above)? Throw a grenade to get them off-balance?
Get other people to ambush the Heavy? (Oh, wait, that's called Teamwork!)

How dare you use such a taboo word as TEAM WORK!! You are here by bannished From N.O.O.B. You will live out the rest of your days with a small group working together to complete goals. And watch as the rest of us N.O.O.B.S run around like chickens with our heads cut off. any last words before your sentence is carried out?

First time I did that to someone in MW2, the grenade made a direct impacts on the other player's groin as a final kill.

I didn't go behind them. If they were stagnant, I took the shot, but I went gung-ho into the battlefield, aim it a tad too high, DROP SHOT, body shot and that fantastic emblem in the killfeed, filling me with joy and validation.
Scavenger is glorious. There is no class it won't work with.

First time I did that to someone in MW2, the grenade made a direct impacts on the other player's groin as a final kill.

I don't even remember the first time. For me, that game feels like a decade ago. I've had a few semtex groin sticks that I can remember.

Semtex and noob tubes were how I screwed around in MW2. Quick-scoping was my constant challenge I could never exactly master. Marathon/Lightweight/Spas was like running GodMode.exe.

I usually humiliate them with the throwing knife. :teehee:
Just lately I got used to start shooting at one enemy, then quickly killing his buddy with the trowing-knife inbetween and finish the first guy off.

Or I do it like you and stick them with a Semtex (or use a well timed Frag).

True you cannot use any type of bullet with any gun, but Richard Ham said that you can hand out different ammo types. Such as armor piercing.

Now in black ops I just get a direct hit with the stun because it slows them down but a direct will temp blind them. Gotta love it when they can't see you or move their reticle fast enough to keep up with you. And I'll kill the first guy of course.

Magazines and clips ARE NOT the same thing. I know most of the forum isn't as educated on weaponry as I am, so I'll add an anology to my post.

Don't refer to a magazine as a clip; Don't refer to Brink as Call of Duty. They're that different.

It takes 1 Wraith operative, 1 ninja medic Devil, and possibly a soldier to take down 5 heavies.
