What? I don't own the game?

Greetings.

Apparently I need to catch up on modern gaming.

I went to the store, I paid good money for a game,

only to come home to find out I have to get involved

with an online outfit called Steam to play it.

What happened to the days when you bought a game

like Morrowind, and you owned it, and wasn't succered

into what I'm calling a online engine to run it? Why am I

forced to use steam to play my game. I'd much rather

download from my disk than the net. Wasn't this thing

called Steam hacked a few times in the past?

Is this what RPG'ing has come to?

Someone get me up to date will you?

Of course you own the game.
You can check Steam on wikipedia to learn more about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_%28software%29

We have a http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1494398-unofficial-steamdrm-discussion-35/ where you can ask question, get info, and discuss your likes/dislikes with Steam.

Since this isn't about Fallout, but more of a Steam concern, let's use that thread.
