What If I DONT want a Perk?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 11:46 am

"no perk" should certainly be an option once we level up.

I for one prefer the struggle of the early levels in TES/Fallout games... these games are most exciting when theyre challenging.

Many times in F3 I have chosen a perk which is not applicable to my playstyle so that the game doesnt get easier.

Discuss.

One of the things I enjoy most about any decent RPG is the difficult choices you need to make along the way. If you choose the wrong perk, you might regret it later, but that is part of the fun.

This crap again. If you don't want it don't get it, pick something stupid you don't care about, use your imagination and think its not really there, or maybe they have already made it to where it's optional like fallout was. question answered topic reported to mods.

Pick a perk that does nothing to you. As for me, I like picking perks that make sense for my character.

What if I DON'T want to level up my skills? What if I DON'T want to upgrade my equipment? What if I DON'T want to proceed past the tutorial? I feel that this should be an option because I am opposed to the very words 'skills', 'gear' and 'progression'.

I don't think we'll have a choice. It's not bad though their will be some good perks at low levels that we can select.

I suppose it's technically possible, but then you wouldn't get to ride a mammoth and you would probably miss out on meeting that hot Nordic bartender chick.

I don't imagine we'll see an option to not take a perk - just as I don't imagine we'll see an option to not raise attributes or to use skills without leveling them. If you don't like the mechanic it seems that you've already found a way out.

It looks like this discussion has runs it's course. *click*
