The correct spelling is Dovahkiin. No one knows for certain what it is yet, but for some pretty interesting theories I will direct you to http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1150358-skyrim-trailer-breakdown/ series of threads.

Urg... Did people completely miss the Cyrodiilic translation of the word?

The gods are putting another major mover-shaker along the lines of Alessia, Reman Cyrodiil, and Talos onto the mundus again.

I really hope they aren't going to make the player that guy/gal...

IE an actual person rather than an Ageless Faceless Gender-Neutral Culturally Ambiguous Adventure Person doomed to fade into obscurity within ten years. That's kinda been the point of the main character of EVERY GAME, nothing you do really matters, because if you didn't do it, fate would find another crony.

That's what he is afraid of yes, but we don't know any specifics yet, we might get some information in the Feb GI, though I'm skeptical that they would go that far, much more likely that they simply give us a brief engine and story teaser, without disclosing that much in relation to the gameplay side of TES: V.

Naah i don't think the will force us in a character role. That would disappoint me.

That will never happen in a TES game, do not read too much into the teaser trailer the icon shown in the trailer is just a wall carving of what someone decided was a way to depict their version of a vision told by the wise men, not an exact viewpoint at all, so you can replace that character with a kajiit or argonian or orc if you want and still be true to the vision as told.

For those who like the "faceless helper". Play Morrowind. He was propably mostly mythified after he became the Nerevarine. "He was 12 feet tall and could crush a man just by looking at them! When he spoke he didnt move his lips, you just heard the words in your head!" And such stuff.
