What enemies would you like to see in New Vegas?

Post » Tue Oct 20, 2009 7:14 pm

You can post here monsters that were in Fallout games, different games, or monsters from your imagination.

I want to see:
Wanamingos, wanamingo queen (there must be another one, i don't want them to extinct)
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Mutant_Wanamingo
Geckos
some enclave soldiers (so i can get their armour)
Floater
Centaur
ghouls
super mutants
some mutated plants like spore plant
trogs
yao guai
deathclaw ofcourse
robots
NO MIRELURKS, ETC!! they were so annoying, and also these kings had some magic power, it's not oblivion there shouldn't be any magic.

Edit: Deathclaw matriachs and mothers, they are amazing, just look at that picture:
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/07/Deathclaw.jpg

And talking deathclaw from the F2 but not as an enemy

Here are a few ideas that I think would suit the overall setting of the Mojave Desert. I've tried to base them on creatures that currently exist within this setting, adding other elements to them in order to make them seem more intimidating and appropriate based on the current conditions of the world (nuclear mutation and such).

- Reanimated feral ghouls that arise from the desert terrain at night (sort of like zombies in a sense). These would be larger and bolder than that of the feral ghouls in FO3.

- Some sort of mutated cactus monster that is reminiscent in both behaviour and form to that of a lion (mouth is boldly pronounced, roaring and such). This type of monster should pose as an inanimate cactus, becoming active unsuspectingly on occasions when approached (this will be random). This would also add some thrills if players in hardcoe mode were able to extract water from cactuses. They should also emerge howling in a high-pitched banter.

- Rabid, two-headed coyotes that roam in packs and attack unsuspectingly with melee-based attacks. Also carrying diseases that are passed onto the player after consistent melee attacks.

- Large ogres composed entirely of moist sand that rise from the ground unexpectedly and gradually grow bigger in size (which also regenerates their HP and makes their melee-based attacks stronger) until they're killed. Require vast amounts of melee damage or rapid amounts of firearm damage (automatic gunfire, a volley of shotgun rounds, concentrated explosives, etc.) to be killed quickly before becoming too powerful. If they form near weapons, they will take possession of them and use them against the player.

- Large swarms of small black spiders that spawn underneath corpses left anywhere in the desert, swarming together in order to take the form of the corpse and re-animate it, attacking the player with melee attacks and progressively clinging to the player if they make melee contact. Easy to take down with both ranged and melee damage, yet safer to attack with ranged from a distance.

- Something similar to the 'http://www.imperial-library.info/bestiaries/oblivion_large_clannfear-1.jpg' from Oblivion, only with the head of a desert horned lizard and larger, with large claws and multiple tails.

- A couple of gigantic monsters that spawn in specific zones and follow routes, posing a huge threat to the player. This could include a giant monitor lizard that roams the mountain ranges and blends in with them. Or a sand kraken that suddenly spawns along terrains that are predominately sand-based, flailing it's tentacles and attempting to lash out at the player, knocking them several yards away from the route it spawns in. Possibly even a large tarantula that lurks the rooftops of certain damp caves.

I think maybe an intro to Giant Ants would work? And not Giant Ants like in FO3, where they're only enlarged to the sized of a dog or something like that. I mean I want GIANT Ants, the size of a man or Super Mutant. That would be fun to try and battle.

I believe D.C. Muties are in NV as well, not just old muties. And besides, he didn't mean Behemoth as in a literal Behemoth. He meant the word behemoth, refering to a GIANT worm.

I don't want anything obsurce like a thing made sand (it's radiation, not magic).

Yao Guai's are the DC's local black bear.
Trogs are humans who have mutated due to the Pitt virus.
And I would like to see some thing new, and extremely powerful.

I didn't mean a behemoth super mutant, I just meant a huge oversize sand worm like in the movie tremors or dune.

The definition of behemoth is any creature or thing of monstrous size or power:

So in other words a Sandworm creature of monstrous size and power.

There are no DC muties in FNV, it wouldn't make sense for them to travel that far. People say that the muties look like the FO3 ones but it's likely because they only reskinned the FO3 model rather than making one that looks more like the FO1 and 2 ones. They are still the Mariposa mutants, though.

I want an appearance from the commonwealth, they seemed so advanced with their androids so you know they gotta have some cool weapons and armor. As long as we dont have mirelurks I'll love the game.

The Commonwealth is on the East Coast and will likely appear in Fallout 4. This game is set on the West Coast again, so East Coast factions are unlikely to appear.
