What enemy annoys you the most?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:58 pm

So there are quite a few different enemies in Skyrim, some new and some not, and I just wanted to know which enemy you like the least - as in, which enemy do you see and think "Ugh, here we go again" Personally there are a lot of enemies that annoy the $#@% out of me, these being a few:

Chaurus - not only are they disgusting, but they manage to poison you EVERY time
Wispmother - these skanks are so hard to hit, and move around all over the dang place
Wolves - they always come out of nowhere and scare the bejeezus out of me, plus they are everywhere

So which enemies do you hate the most and why?

Wisps? I am 110 hours in an have yet to meet one.
But I'd say that dragons, the normal kind is annoying at late game.

Ice wraiths! They're not hard but annoying. I also hate snowy saber cats.

Skeevers and wolves when they jump you and like you said scare the hell out of you.

Also the Thalmor, there's nothing like shoving a sword down their throat as they are half way through ranting about how they are superior to everything and the world should bow to them...

Draugr.

The weak ones are annoying because unlike other monsters who roam around where you can see them, most Draugr are scripted to pop out of tombs and [censored].

The boss level ones are annoying because they can shout to disarm or send you ragdoll.

I would also have to say Ice Wraiths because, as a melee guy, for some reason these things are really hard to hit. No, not deal damage to; simply hitting them is a pain in the ass. A lot of the time, my axes just go right through them like they were ethereal.

Dragons. If you're a melee-type character, they're a pain in the butt.

Is there any way to kill those fool patrols right off the bat without getting a bounty? I am getting annoyed provoking them with conversation, I would rather just run up and slaughter them.

It'd be a tie between Dragons and creatures that use that annoying impposible-to-hit Ice Wraith template.

I have to agree about the ice wraiths, they are super hard to hit and their blue color makes them usually blend in to the background, plus the noise they make is just awful

Ice Wraiths are lethal to melee fighters. I just avoid um if possible. I'd rather take on a frost troll any day of the week.

Random encounter Dragons !
They are as common as woodlice in a moist place.
When like me you have all your shouts unlocked + 30 or so dragon souls left you start to grow annoyed to see one each time you get out a cave/dungeon then kill him in 1 or 2 secondes of flurry , it kinda breaks the fun.

Gotta agree with the ice wraiths.

The most annoying single enemy I've fought though was a boss that locked me in constant ragdoll with shouts while simultaneously disarming me. That fight took a while. I guess he takes the double crown for most annoying and actually the hardest enemy in the game (for melee at least).

Dragons. Honestly the random occurences are getting really annoying atm. At first i couldnt wait to get a random encounter, now i find myself hiding under a tree in the hope it doesnt see me just as i cba to fight yet another 1.

As an archer:

wraiths: I can't hit what I can't see.
mage: I can't hit when I can't see (spell effects).

Bulky animals. Not because they're irritating to fight, but because of their placement. Even after defeating a dragon, clearing out several bandit hideouts etc. you can walk across the main road to a city, encounter a bear, and be mauled within seconds. I understand delving into the wilderness and encountering wild animals that kick my butt. And I can understand finding bandits blocking the road. But animals? Keep them in the wilderness, and don't place their spawnpoints directly on the road unless they're low level.

Those damn spiders. You can bet your top dollar I'll be perpetrating a bit o' extinction on those svckers once the CK is released. Might replace them with something else, might just delete 'em entirely.
