I was going to say a kitten, but they already have one in the concept art they showed at E3. So my next choice would be some kind of Lovecraftian monstrosity

I'd like to see a range of critters, from more small ones like rats, rabbits and hell even fish. Add in some killable birds a bit like the hawks in Skyrim and then build up the predators to have a great food chain.

Then add in "legendary" versions we can kill and take trophies from for our uber base lair which is another reason I want fish. We can build buildings, I want a giant fish tank with mirelurks in! and a pool with radsharks with laser beams attached to their fricken heads to kill raiders!

Deathclaws. I love to hate them.

Do people not know Wanamingos are extinct? In Fallout 2 they are stated to be a dying species and can be eradicated by the Chosen One.

From the Wiki; Wanamingos have an exceptional life span, but by the year of 2241, they have started to die out.

The only known queen lived in the Wanamingo Mine in Redding, owned by Ascorti. All "aliens" living in that mine were killed by the Chosen One in 2242. Other wanamingos could be found scattered throughout the wasteland, most notably in the San Francisco tanker. The name "wanamingo" was originally only used locally in Redding but eventually came to be used for the species as a whole across the wastes.

So yeah, even if some did survive they'd be on the West Coast, and not in Boston.

So other than that, I'd like to see some new creatures, mutated Birds and flying creatures. A mutated animal that can be ridden those Deer for instance.

And we see deathclaws everywhere in the wastelands.

Also Bethesda almost added a mutant wanamingo to Fallout 3 "Mutant wanamingo is a creature cut from the final version of Fallout 3. This is a wanamingo very mutated by radiation. Its mouth has been enlarged, it has been rendered sans tentacles and has taken a pinkish color. It appears wildly different than those encountered in Fallout 2."

I'd love wanamingos to come back, I'm more scared of them than deathclaws and will run away lots if caught unprepared for the massive fight they give. Do I think they'll make an appearance? Unfortunately not, and that makes me a little sad

Does Boston have a zoo?

wanamingos or some kind of mutant spider just generally anything horrifying that will probably only come out at night. besides centaurs fallouts seriously lacking in creepy mutants that elicit a reaction of "holy crap what is that!?" or "nope [censored] that and anything that looks like it im out".
