Arrows are so easy to come by.

Go to solitude where the guards are training with bows and just take their arrows

As far as "perks" for quests, they aren't actual perks mind you, but they are constant active effects. One of them is gotten by completing a quest in blackreach, and is pretty useful for an alchemist.

The economy stays the same, i haven't seen it change any. Although sometimes, i do see the trades having more gold than usual, so i don't know if that's because of me or not. Sometimes they would have 1100~ish gold instead of their normal 750~ish.

Also haven't seen a dragon pick anyone up yet, even though i played for a good 120 hours and fought tons of them. Even with people around.

You don't even have to bother with that, bound bow = infinite arrows.

They need to play some Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry to see how combat should feel like... seriously I dunno why they didn't update the one aspect of gameplay that pervades 90% of the game.

That wouldn't fit skyrim at all. Its too high paced and unrealistic, which in turn would give it a feeling that it isn't serious. And yes, I am aware that magic and dragons are in the game, but you can't have an all realistic game.

Has any famous (well... can't be famous without a reputation system and Skyrim doesn't really have that...) and powerful mage actually been challenged to a duel by another mage, yet? That was a small, early (believe it was said in the January edition of GameInformer) detail said to be in the game.

Since when is anime style ret*rded combat better..?

IT doesn't have to be "anime" style...

AT least in NG or DMC enemies actually react to getting hit...

Maybe a better example is Dark Souls which has a very similar combat style but is about 39240832905832590 times more satisfying.

Everytime my Claymore in Dark Souls hits something, I can FEEL the claymore dishing out the pain.

In skyrim, when I slash with my Daedric Mace... the bandit stands there swinging at me like he was tickled with a feather.

I wouldn't mind so much if combat wasn't like 100% of the game... lol?

Do you mean Ice Wraiths? ( http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Ice_Wraith#Ice_Wraith )

I don't recall reading about any Ice Vampire

No, he's talking about the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Vampire. But they are lore. I guess Beth thought they would be too hard to implement.

Ice Vampires... those would be the Volkihar. They were, according to Oblivion's introduced lore, the one major vampire clan of Skyrim said to wait beneath the surfaces of frozen bodies of water for unsuspecting passersby so they could drag them to their deaths below the icy surface of the water. Those sound much cooler than what we actually got and I'm rather disappointed.

Yes. Yesterday.

Level 26 with 50 Conjuration and Destruction. Stepped out of Breezehome, took two steps towards the gate and was accosted by the Challenger. I was dead before I could "unsheath" my spells. This happened three times before I cast Stoneskin and Steadfast Ward with a Frost Atronach - I survived the initial blast with a pixel-wide sliver of health and stood there healing myself while my Atronach and Follower killed the Challenger. His cries of "It's not fair! This is a Duel! One on One!" were hilarious, but I can't see how I could possibly have beaten him otherwise.

I've also had a very similar thing happen on my sneaky archer, but it was a melee Challenger (that's their name, Challenger).

I was challenged by a mage in Whiterun, just outside of Warmaidens. I was 30th level or so (mage). He challenged me to a duel and we fought right there in the middle of town. I was Archmage at the time.

Also, I ran into a Volkihar Vampire out in the wild. Looked like a human in black robes, and it had a Vigilant of Stendarr as a thrall. They were standing over a body when I approached, and the fight was over very quickly. It was with the same character, probably 32nd level. It used lightning of some kind, and finished me off with an ice spike spell, but the spikes were huge, more like spears. It didn't look anything like that one picture we were all speculating was a Volkihar though, just a human wearing hooded black mage robes. I didn't get a really detailed look at it though, as the fight was over almost before it began, and it was night. It was definitely called a Volkihar Vampire though.

Add: @Sokar Rostau: Almost exactly where I fought my challenger! He was yelling the same thing at me, I summoned an Atronach and I had Jenassa with me. Your right too, he was tough.

Ah, yes! I just looked it up! They are in Eastern Skyrim. Too bad you can't join them.

For arrows it depends on how you look at it.

Arrows in general you'll find tons of, but they'll be nearly all the weaker (7-10 damage) ones. Those sixy Glass, Ebony and Dadric arrows (18-24 damage) will be in short supply without exploit abuse.

Sorry but that is wrong, i really liked the look of ebony, and since i first seen them in shops i can always buy them. i dont find them as loot as much but theyre nearly always in shops. ive got over 200 of them simply buying them from The Drunken Huntsman and Warmaidens.

New combat system?

Far as I can see, this is Fallout 3 combat with swords...

Sorry, but it's true.

NO DMC and NinjaGaiden ARE NOT how elder scrolls combat should be and i prefer Skyrims combat 10x more than that spammy combo crap.

Am i the only one who absolutly LOVE Skyrims combat more than most other games? Only ones who are better would be Jedi Knight series, Mount & Blade. I'd say Dark messiah is on par, yes you can kick but the sword slinging is very clumsy.

Arrows are scrace to begin with but like gold theres a balance issue and once you hit a certain point it just flips over and you just start getting larger stock piles. At least that what it seems like to me.
You can leave the first bit with about 50-75 with them bouncing everywhere, turning to dust and missing yet still completely vanishing though the world they can quickly deplete but unless you solely hunted dear between chests bandits and dungeons you get a good pile and selection of different types. Still no where near as "bad" as it was in oblivion could end up with 1000's from a single dungeon.

Whatever happened too mods for console (bet they got a nice pile of extra pre orders for that one), know it was unlikely, it would require alot of work to moderate and remove certain ones, not to mention maintaining a certain quality and not break the game/console completely. Or be beyond it's capabilities like high res textures. But to only provide extra info 3 weeks after release, in the form of a definitive blunt no.

What happened to the world and dungeons being of set levels and scaling intelligently, getting real tired of CAVE bear groups napping on main roads. Or bandits that weild a single hand iron weapon yet can whack 75% of my hp away. And short of going in every dungeon at level one I haven't seen any evidence that you can level past certain things, they may start at level 15 or whatever but will scale up to you unless you've locked it in.

Didn't they also say something about physics being much improved? Aside from the water dragging bodies downstream, other corpses as as prone to flying, falling into a heap like their made of rocks, or sliding down 15 degree slopes like the where covered in grease and the world is one big slip and slide.

I thought we were suppose to be able to change the "economy" in the game, but so far I don't see it. Either I am doing it wrong, or it's not in the game. Another thing I rememeber Todd Howard was saying that arrows are suppose to be scarce and we should treat them like gold. Well mabye because I don't use my bow much, but I have plenty of arrows and I don't see no shortage of them at all. I have plenty of arrows and think even if I use it as my primary weapon, I will never run out.

So what else was suppose to be in the game but is not? Maybe people have the answers for as to why it's not in the game. I know there is suppose to be alot more in Skyrim but for the moment can't recall what was suppose to be in the game but is not.

You actually believe in anything Todd Howard or any person representing a game company?
Don't listen to what they have to say, just wait for a game to come out and see what you get.

It's like the Fable games, oooh we're gonna have this and that...facepalm.

Todd Howard is a liar..nuff said.

Sure some of the stuff he talked about is in game, but alot of them haven't been seen yet by many.

Nonetheless the game still has alot of awesome stuff to offer. So play the game and don't listen to Todd...damn that Todd....

Some things are in game, just not in the form people wanted, or expected.

Such is the joy of advertising. Ever notice that washing liquid that gets things whiter than white...until it's next product is released then it manages a dull grey, whilst the new one gets the most amazing results ever!!!
Tip: Don't believe everything on face value because the people selling it to you have said it. You will be happier in the long run.

Having said that...there are patches, expansions, DLC probably planned so maybe some things missing may see the light of day. PC users will get mods.

Never actually seen a Dragon swoop down, pick someone up, then fly off and drop them, like that one Dragon did to the Giant in the previews of Todd playing.

the dynamic economy is a definite one that is missing.

That would be Alduin; it does happen on a couple of occasions but all of them seem scripted... it certainly doesn't seem to happen dynamically like Todd Howard claimed at E3.

My Argonian got thrown around by a random Blood Dragon. It does happen. It's their finisher animation!
