I thought we were suppose to be able to change the "economy" in the game, but so far I don't see it. Either I am doing it wrong, or it's not in the game. Another thing I rememeber Todd Howard was saying that arrows are suppose to be scarce and we should treat them like gold. Well mabye because I don't use my bow much, but I have plenty of arrows and I don't see no shortage of them at all. I have plenty of arrows and think even if I use it as my primary weapon, I will never run out.
So what else was suppose to be in the game but is not? Maybe people have the answers for as to why it's not in the game. I know there is suppose to be alot more in Skyrim but for the moment can't recall what was suppose to be in the game but is not.
Has anyone tried selling a hundred sets of hide armor to a merchant and then checked to see how the price of hide armor is affected (and done so while allowing for price drops effected by improvments in speechcraft)? Has anyone taken detailed notes of the kinds and costs of goods in a settlement and in nearby cities, and then tried exhausting the lumber supply at a lumber yard, and then gone around and taken further notes on the kinds and costs of goods available, and then compared notes? And then done it again somewhere else, or with some other resource? Noticing economic flucuations requires evidence. Some players probably don't know how to collect such evidence, and most of those who do wouldn't even bother. I recommend laziness for now. Wait to see what modders uncover in the creation kit.
The bow is my primary weapon. I have more gold than arrows, and I am more hesitant about wasting arrows than I am about wasting gold. Arrows haven't felt scarce to me yet, but they do feel precious. Whether that feeling is based on fact or is just self-deception is something I can't answer yet. I have never run out of arrows, but I have run out of kinds of arrows. I scrounge for them after every fight, and am bothered when I fail to recover one.
