What exactly do you do, after you've beaten everything?

Post » Mon Jul 11, 2011 1:06 pm

I completed all of the main quests, most of the side quests, ive gotten all of the weapons, and all of the armor (i think). I've completed all of the dlc's, and reached the current level cap of 40. I know OWB comes out in 9 days, and i'll definetly play that and Lonesome road, but what do you do after that? Do you just move on to another game? Isn't there anything else? I thought to myself, why dont I just kill some bad guys just for fun, but I looked everywhere and hardly any enemies respawned. Quarry junction was empty, deathclaw promontory was empty, red rock canyon was empty , etc. The only enemies that respawned were powder gangers and fiends, and the combat against them barely lasted 30 secs, since they only respawned in groups of 2-3. To me, I dont think killing bugs, and animals are very fun, (cazadors, big horners). Oh, how I wish the interiors of caves and buildings respawned like Oblivion. It would make this game so much fun! So do you guys have any idea, what I should do? Getting kind of bored here.. for the first time, in my history of playing the fallout franchise. = /

I put the game down and won't pick it up until OWB comes out after that i'll put it down till the next DLC comes and if they don't add anymore enemies(a lot of enemies) to the Mojave I'll probably just sell it, there just isn't that much to do in the wasteland. To the Op, i know how you feel it gets very boring killing the same enemies over and over again

I usually do a sort of caravan run
I'll kill fiends, powder gangers, super mutants, assassinate Ranger Veterans, etc.
Take their stuff, repair it, then try and sell the stuff to get every cap in the waste.
It can be pretty satisfying knowing you have the caps of every vendor in the waste.

Other than that I'll usually make a save then see if I can take on everyone in the Strip, or at Camp Golf or Forlorn Hope.
That late it the game its not much, but it can kill a few hours if you need it.

Oh, also, going on an acheivement run can kill some time to

Otherwise you can always pop in another game to kill some time :)

I just restarted playing this game again after a 3 week break. Taking some time off from the game and then replaying on a whole new save makes things a lot more fun and interesting.

Maybe you went to fast. Walk, not run, around the Mojave and take it all in. Spend time with different companions doing different things. Spend some time pumping lead and some time in Gannon Family Telsa armor turning ghouls into goo piles. Find a good bunker and decorate the heck out of it.

Start another character and ROLE-PLAY.

Seriously, there's a thread around here somewhere about how many playthroughs people have had. I'm simply amazed that there are people who only run one character through a game like this. I'm working on something like my 25th character right now. Surely you can think of some kind of role play for at least 2, right?

Usually I move on to different title after a game ends.
(Those that don't end I just drop, and go play something else.)

Seriously, I don't see how so many people play this game without RPing.

This game is an RPG, but an FPS. Do another character, and follow a differnt faction and use different weapons. Instead of using your energy gun, try a spiked knuckle.

You can roleplay, as others have noted. Of course this assumes you have not already roleplayed, which may be a big assumption on our part.

Otherwise, grab a new game. If you haven't played Oblivion, go for it. If you've already played Oblivion (and FA3), then you're in the same boat as me. It's a stinky boat, full of dread and longing. Try Neverwinter Nights I&II, or Bioshock. Sorry, not a lot of options. Borderlands is cool if you favor the shooting aspect.

honestly, after having run this game through twice (thoroughly), there is not much more to see. If you just want to hang around, you can, but after exploring the map to 95 percent there is only so much left. It was a good 100 hours though.

Wait for skyrim or dark souls to come out.
