What Expansion type you prefer?

Shivering Isles expansion type.

A completely new world and story.

I'd mostly like a few major expansions like SI or the Morrowind expansions.

However, I don't mind a few DLC's also. I particularly enjoyed Mehrunes Razor in Oblivion. Spell Tomes and Horse Armor, not so much.

I voted Morrowind expansion like, so something along the lines of Bloodmoon, Tribunal and Shivering Isles would do for me. I also wouldn't say no to smaller dlc stuff.

I would prefer something the same size as Shivering Isles or bigger. Not sure about the sizes of Morrowind expansions, I never got around to playing that game through. As long as its not like Fallout's tiny DLC I'm good. Lets hope this year the Black Marsh is DLC. Yes I'm a Argonian fan boy despite my Breton name.

I'd consider the expansions for morrowind to be smaller in size in content than SI was so I like Oblivion. I still have no idea how you think bloodmoon had more content than SI because quite ridiculous.

Werewolves is pretty big addittion regardless of the size of Solstheim vs the Isles

There needs to be an option for Morrowind and Oblivion.

I picked Oblivion just because of the size of Shivering Isles.......I would have picked both but there was no option. The only one I liked for Fallout 3 was Point Lookout. Point Lookout was almost like an expansion but I would have preferred more quests.

I hate DLC's, I'll never buy 'em. For a huge amout of cash you get like one more quest or one shiny armor. What I'd like is a real expansion! For instance The Shivering Isles! I really liked The Shivering Isles, got a bit weird though. I didn't care much for The Knights of the Nine, all in all... a big quest.

Skyrim needs a real expansion. It's (going to be) an AWESOMEEPIC game. Therefore it deserves an expansion, simular to The Shivering Isles or Bloodmoon.

I'm sure Bethesda will do fine! GO BETHESDA! :wavey:

My worry is that Beth will do the same with Skyrim that is happening with FNV...DLCs coming out on the 360 before they go to the PC or PS3...if ever. That's not cool. My hope of hopes is that they release a Shivering Isles type expansion. That would be pwnage!

I'm sure that whatever Beth does come up with will be great.

I think DLC's are probably a given, but when done well, they are a great addition, and yes, it sounds like a money-making scheme, but that's what it is - game development is most certainly not free. You have to look at it from the developer's financial perspective - if you do so, you'll see that the compromises in the system are actually not all that serious :)

I'd be willing to pay good money for DECENT DLC's, if I know it's going to go into making the next game even better.

Just think about it :)

Big expansions. I would rather have 1 long and deep expansion than several small DLC's.

I would like to have a series of small add-ons, maybe two or three, like KotN. I loved that add-on. But there should also be a few very big ones, bigger than SI. Adding new land, a new questline, new everything.

At the very least KotN/Point lookout size DLC, but all DLC have to be that size.

But I do prefer me my full blown expansion packs, they just add so much more to the game. I'd take bloodmoon and SI over ten DLC's anyday

Epic game deserves epic expansions! :) And even most of the good mods add 20 + hours of game-play lots of new objects and new land. Having a modding community means that devs have something to compete with - I wouldn't want an official expansion to be less in any regard than any of the quest/story mods out there - if I pay for the content it has to be better, at last in some ways, than what I get for free. And we have one awesome modding community, so it's not an easy task :)

from all these different games all of them for me were great although I didnt get the horse armour from oblivion. Fallout 3 had a great variety with the aliens and the others, I hated the fact you could only continue after the main quest if you purchased the add on.. Morrowind was excellent and oblivion was cool too. I loved the fighters stronghold and all the others but Shivering isle's was the best one for me :)

I don't mind some of the cool little cheap things for Oblivion, and I like the bigger though not quite expansion-worthy add-ons to Fallout 3, but really, none can substitute a full-on fleshed out expansion. Tribunal and Bloodmoon added SO MUCH content to Morrowind it was insane, and I can't imagine playing the game without them. Shivering Isles was pretty good as well, but I still prefer Tribunal and Bloodmoon.. it just felt like there was more to do in those expansions than just the main quest, and more new and interesting characters and items.

Also, we need more Gaenor.

I prefer a TES expansion type. Bloodmoon, Tribunal, Knights of the Nine, and Shivering Isles were all great. I liked all of them for different reasons, and they are all very unique and well put together. All I want is for Bethesda to continue that level of quality and creativity, and I will be a happy camper.

How are most of the Oblivion and FO3 expansions different from Morrowind's?

They both have some that add new land masses to explore. FO3 has more than Oblivion does, but they both still have them.

Personally, I like both. Expanding on the world is always nice, but expanding item sets, skills, spells, and mob types are just as nice.

Shivering Isles is the only expansion Oblivion recieved, and Fallout 3 didn't get any expansions. What Fallout 3 got is DLC, Knights of the Nine, horse armor and such were DLC, Shivering Isles was an expansion, Tribunal and Bloodmoon were expansions.

When talking about real expansions, Morrowind and Oblivion were very similar so I would vote for both.

But, if we are using "expansion" to mean expansions and DLC, then I prefer the normal expansions and some DLC. I liked Bloodmoon, Tribunal, Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles, and Mehrunes Razor.

Solstheim was incredible. It was awesome how you could actually swim to the island from the mainland. Never played Shivering Isles, but I think the scope of that download was pretty expansive. Fallout 3 had decent add-ons for $10 each but I cant see that becoming the norm with TES. Night of the Nine didnt seem that popular.

I absolutely despise DLC's I hate bacing to buy for 1-2 hours of content, it feels empty and silly. Specially when you usually buy it after having done everything else. Meaning you'll buy it, play for an hour or two, and then be done with it.
I don't see a big difference in expansions tyle between Oblivion and Morrowind, both had had the real expansion model (ignoring DLC's) So I'd like to see that kind and only that.
