what exploration mods?

hi all.

Next week my new videocard will come so I am going to wait until it comes to Begin my game on *this* computer.

And, yes I know, this question, "which mods" has been asked 6,931 times already. but each asker plays a different game!

I love to explore. Some monsters are ok. not too many obscure puzzles. I do not care for complicated battle script mods or such.

I have about 180 mods now, I might remove a few and add some more but which mods are "exploration mods"?!

I have found that some wonderful sounding mods seem to conflict with other mods.
Desert of Aquinas? why does mod manager checker show about 40 conflicts with ak_weye mod?

the Underdark mod looks impressive but strangely I cannot find out a thing about it anywheres?!

so please recommend me some exploration mods.

I will have a 1 gig ati 5670 card and a dual core pentium 64 bit win 7 emachine, not the best processor.
of course i have qarls textures and many other replacers.

Nehrim is probably your best bet, but it's a Total Conversion so is not compatible with nearly all other mods.

With as many mods as you are already using/familiar with it might be nice to see your load order. No sense recommending stuff you've already got.

For exploring, you'll want Kragenir's Death Quest. No new lands or "dungeons" to investigate, but its various quests will give you ample reason to visit and / or revisit almost every location and NPC in Cyrodiil. The added dialogue, especially that for rural citizens, is alone worth the price of admission.

As for Elswery-Anequina and AFK_Weye, I run both and notice no conflicts. If you don't have it already, you might want to add Region Revive - Lake Rumare. Properly patched is goes well with AFK_Weye, UL Imperial Isle, and New Roads and Bridges. Makes the Imperial Isle a far more scenically interesting place.

Yes, I can heartily agree with this comment. I only recently discovered and included this mod in my game and it's made me go all over the place to vanilla dungeons and small settlements and I'm left wondering why I haven't found and used it before now, it really is top notch and very well written.

Another quest mod (involving new non-vanilla caves/ruins to explore, some of them huge) which I love is The Lost Spires, it's a kind of obvious recommendation because it appears on lots of lists of great quest mods, but it's on those lists for a reason and for me it never gets old and I'm as happy playing through it the tenth time as I was the first :)

The Aylied Steps is also a must for an explorer. Mostly Aylied Ruins, but also some very clever "other" places.
The Aylied Steps is like three games in one - it's partly like a murder mystery, partly a puzzle game to try sort out any system to the teleportation network and lots and lots of places to explore.

yes my emachine is not fast in the processor dept. it is the second from the bottom of their quality list.
but my disibility income can only go so far and with a peppy video card, i am amazed at what it can do!

--"fighting" is not really what I want. there has to be extra added content, with that regard maybe TIE might work.
any suggestions?

what i want in my oblivion is not something that I can readily write out.

I want mystery, an alternate universe, like of exploring an alien world. I do not need the best sword or the brightest armor plate. Nor companions. Nor something where i have to memorize 32 other key commands or of configuration extras in my config files. see...when a kid, i was a secret agent for the other team, in all team sports my reflexes are *so* slow.
why once I bought a PS2 tomb raider game and in the obligatory tutuorial I soon found a place where I had to ALL AT ONCE, jump upwards, do a backflip while flipping sideways, while leaping up into the air, while reaching out for to pull a lever, and then be sure to land on the other side of a gap in a path, one mis-step and i fall through the gap to my death!!
I turned that game back in and got my money back!!

so there, for now, I leave this for you all.
