What faction would you like to see in Fallout 4?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:34 pm

What kind of faction would you like to see a return of, from any of the fallout series. Me personally I would like to see a return of the NCR and the Legion. Obviously not as largely scaled as they were in New Vegas, maybe just various scouting camps along the western side of Boston, trying to get a foothold, what are your opinions?

I don't think NCR should be in Boston

Personally I want entirely new factions. I hated the shoehorning in Fallout 3 and if it's in Fallout 4 that will just be ridiculous.

The Followers of the Apocalypse are just about the only faction I would want to see again. Other than that I'm hoping for new conflicts between new factions.

Although it seems silly for the 'New California Republic' to be in Boston, it would make sense in some sort of way, the Legion is advancing in different directions, taking more territory under their control. The NCR is trying to expand and stay on level with the Legion.

I think that people need some new information (can't wait till E3) i saw this topic before .

And no i don't want factions from NV in F4 because it's just not realistic.

NCR is barely hanging on to what they have, and the legion is between them, and the east coast... I could see maybe a rep from the NCR being there, but, certainly not having the place under NCR control.

Followers being there wouldn't be too hard to swallow. Legion being in the area wouldn't be too much of a stretch either. BoS has mechanized transportation, so they could conceivably be everywhere... Same for the Enclave... their tech is even more advanced than BoS.....

Haven't we just had this discussion?

I'd like to see the Midwestern BOS and the airship/vertibird and the power armour/super mutant pair patrolling suggests to me that they maybe in Fallout 4.....its also possible that Lyons' BOS could be pushing north and the Outcasts might have moved north looking for a new source of tech.

I don't want to see either NCR or the Legion on the east coast simply because its so unlikely, the NCR is over stretched trying to hold on to the Mojave, they have no real reason to travel 3,000 miles though god knows what hazards. The Legion also has no real ability or need to be pushing their troops all the way to the east coast. It would take decades (maybe even longer) for the Legion to follow its usual pattern of expansion all the way to the east coast.....if Caesar is dead it is even more unlikely that they will be during that much expanding of their territory.

The only NV faction I could see making the trip would Yes man and his robot army, they could probably roll straight over anything on route and travel day and night with no need to scavenge/hunt for food and water.

Does the eyebot signal the presence of the Enclave or is it just pre war tech the Institute is using?

Super Mutants appear to be in the game, maybe both West Coast (with the Midwestern BOS) and East Coast varieties.

NCR?

Legion?

Maybe some rogue scout or family affiliate that may be wandering but leave them in Cali. No amount of theorycrafting and proposed logic can remotely support any notion of those factions influencing anything on the East Cost, let alone actually being there.

Maybe a cameo or two with a few (3 max) NPCs from previous installments and that's pushing it for me.

I want to see new factions. There are a lot of Natural Forest in that part of the world that could have survived with little to no effect by the bombs. Communities can thrive like out pioneer settlers and mountain men. This carries potential to spawn some interesting factions. They can remain with a home base of operations in the woods and interact with the player via outposts set along the city limits. This can add to DLC that focuses on these remote base areas.

I would love to see MW BoS in Fallout 4. Partially to expand on them and give them some hard lore/cannon, and partially because, well Power armored soldier ridding with his buddy robot and Deathclaw.

Honestly, I'd like to see the Brotherhood Outcasts again. Even though the factions will fight each other during gameplay, the Capitol Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel and Brotherhood Outcasts say they have an understanding. Hell, it could make for a pretty good side quest. The protagonist could side with one of the BoS factions to help them absorb the other, shaping the Brotherhood's role in the wasteland.

Well hopefully the institute will be a actual faction, not some default antagonists and the "railroad" group another, well besides that I hope for some BoS, I love to become a knight of the wasteland again.

I wouldn't mind seeing what became of Lyons' Pride and the Outcasts. Did they reconcile, wipe each other out, both get wiped out by a third party, or still fighting?

Not a problem, most of the threads are duplicates anyway....or maybe we end up discussing the same things on most of the threads anyway.

NCR shouldn't be in Boston in any shape, in any form, in any way by any means.Fallout most likely takes place a few years after FONV, we are not adding the NCR and the Legion to the profusion of Fallout icons that have miraculously travailed from one side of America to the other for inexplicable reasons by inexplicable methods
