What factions do you want to see come back or never come bac

Besides, since the NCR does hire mercs, we can get along just fine. That's the reason i hate the Legion, they are bad for business.

Huh maybe I should talk to Chief Hanlon or some of the other higher ups about contracting some guns for hire to strike the Legion on its on territory, we cant really do it our selves right now seeing as how were spread a little bit too thin with this whole war thing going on.

Well, my group is just exploratory, looking for markets and an LC to set up a Regional HQ, Talon Company is still based in the East Coast.

I think Caesar's Legion is an incredibly cool faction and was no-where near owed up to in New Vegas, and would love for it to make a comeback...... But only if that game isn't developed by Bethesda.

Yep, they do what they are payed to do.... There is no ulterior agenda of being bad, only being profitable.

Mako, I'm never going to understand why you are unable to accept that the willingness to do anything for personal gain is the definition of evil. If someone stole all your gaming gear & sold your pets to a medical lab would it be okay as long as they made some money? That's what you're saying.

Oh and the fact that it's the bloody post-nuclear wasteland.

Legion for sure, so much potential yet to be tapped from them.
BOS and Enclave on the other hand are played out.
I wouldn't mind them falling apart and finding former members of them like with Unity or Enclave in NV.
But I don't want those actual factions to come back.

Oh, so because a perfectly good faction was implemented badly, it should never be implemented correctly?

They were not interested in having you love them. Fo3 have a bunch of groups that just didn t want to be your friend. They had a job to do and they did it.

Better than making anyone you want win the game. I could have made Goodsprings win the dam in fo nv.

Talon company could come back with a way to work with them, but I hope I can t make anyone and everyone win the game if fo4.

Talon Company was fine in fo3.............. They were ruthless mercs that didn t want or need your help. They were working........

I hope Fo4 starts with me in an old missle silo, and I look on a screen and there is cl territory!!! Then I was to be able to launch it, and it have 10 1mt warheads that split up real evenly over cl territory.

I hope Bethesda lets me end cl thermal nuclear style real quick to start the game just for fun.

Then after that the real game starts....

*Picks up M-16 and lowers voice* You care to run that by me again son?

Rofl now thats funny.

But on the BOS's part they were severely outnumbered at the battle of Helios One. They were outnumbered at least 15:1. The BOS killed alot of NCR and the BOS lost some good men(sniffle). If they had some more time and men they could have wiped the Mojave floor with the NCR's ass.

I do love the NCR but you gotta give props to the BOS. Im both a Pro-NCR and Pro-BOS supporter.

Talon Company was not fine in Fallout 3, because they were completely one-sided, there was absolutely NO player interaction other than them telling you that they are going to attack. Bethesda implemented them terribly.

@Dario They aren't evil, per say, so much as they look out for themselves.

You just couldn t think for them, or make them love you like everyone in fo nv. They didn t care about you.

As I said having Talon Company again play a bigger role it fine by me, but I just don t want another game where no group thinks for themselves like fo nv.

In life some people just will not like you, and don t care to talk to you.

If you see a team of BlackWater mercs for hire in Iraq, they don t care about you. They have just killed people too. They are not going to stop what they are doing to chit chat with everyone. They are at work. Their work is dangerous, and they might die if they let their guard down.

I see your point, but that is no explanation as to why there is absolutely NO interaction with the faction, this makes it seems completely one-sided. Rather than try to make excuses as to why the faction should be 2D, I'd rather they, i don't know, maybe flesh them out, give them some SUBSTANCE.

I am not against them playing a bigger role, and being able to join them or work for them.

It just wasn t their role in fo3. I did talk to one once, I said isn t there some way we can work this out? He said basically no. lol

If they are a main player with more options in future fo or even fo4, I ll have no problem. They seem to have many men, and they were well equiped for battle. I d much rather have them as major power faction that goes against the grain in a region then something like cl.

Talon Company were soilders. Equiped to kill at all ranges.....

Bethesda not telling us much about them in fo3 many have been a good thing, because it leaves thier role open if they put them in another fo.

DC may not have been their main area of operations. I don t think it was. We really have no Idea how big Talon Company really is, where they came from, and who runs them. The base in fo3 may not have been their main HQ. I really doubt it was...... I think they were sent there.

Yes, those are good things about Bethesdas implementation, but the bad thing is that most people now seem to assume that are only capable of beinga "evil" cannon fodder one-sided enemy faction.

Not me, if a game starts where they are based at, and you get a chance to join it will make sense. You can t just walk up to a military merc corporation guy and ask to join. Blackwater main HQ is not in Iraq. The men there are not talking to anyone, or taking anyone on board, because that is not their job. The U.S. government pays them to escort vips or important stuff. They are kind of above the law over there. Many shady things they do over there fall on the feet of the U.S. military, because from a distance you really can t tell them apart.

The game would need to start where Talon Company main HQ is IMO.

Then you could talk to people that are in charge of hiring. They are not good or bad in my book. $$$$$

Talon Company could play a major role in fo. They are a no limit merc corp, so I d say their overall objectives are more bad than good since they will throw morals out the window for money.

They could be used in a peacekeeper role as well though. Its all about what they are getting payed to do. They can be good or bad depending on who pays them.

They are a versatile faction. We just saw men at work in a war zone in fo3. With no law or order, and no alpha dog for them to worry about. They might shoot anyone that isn t Talon Company just to be on the safe side. "Kill them all and let God sort them out" seemed like their motto in fo3.

Thks doesn t mean they have to be like that, or if you join them you may be shooting everyone on sight depending on what the job is. lol
