Maybe it's not the most appropriate thread for this but I felt it was better than making a new thread since it's kinda on the same topic? Anyway, I'm wondering if you guys could recommend me a couple games?

1. For the first game a friend and I are looking for a co-op game to play together on PC. We really wanted to play Dark Souls together since both of us love it to death but as you could imagine it's pretty difficult to reliably find each other. We don't really have any requirements other than a fun game that's on pc. He's thinking of maybe Torchlight 2 but I'm not really sure if those kind of RPGs are my thing. Any recommendations?

2. Several friends and I are looking for a fun PC game to all play together. We all love Spelunky but sadly that's not multiplayer online. We're thinking of maybe Risk of Rain, or maybe even Duck Game? What's a fun game to play with friends. I'm looking to stay away from CS or TF2.

I want to ask for another game recommendation but i'll leave it at these two for now and see if anyone even answers.

1) a co-op game for 2 people.. if you can find a copy of Diablo 2, you may enjoy that one.. its an older, title, but if you each pick a class that compliments each other you can have alot of fun..

2) when it comes to free online titles to play with a group of people on the PC, i personally think Planetside 2 is pretty good.. if you have enough people to play as a well balanced team (a Medic, an Engy, a Light Assault, and a heavy Assault) you can have a pretty fun time if you are good at communication with each other.. a single group that can communicate well in that game can pretty much handle anything except a zerg rush..

When I last left off I was playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for the PS3 but since that system decided to go kaput and I had to sell it, it won't be till December till I get my XB1 out of layaway but I'm planing to get Mad Max and MGSV:TPP between now and then. I'm also playing TESO and Star Trek Online on the PC.

Got tired of Fallout New vegas. Guess there are only so many times one can beat a game before they get bored of it, eh? Picked up the Resident Evil HD to play instead. Pretty good game, but I miss the great old school voice acting. :P

Are there any good Beat em ups? I've been in the mood to play one as of late.

I absolutely love it. But be warned, it's not your normal hack and slash and get the phat loot MMO. It's got a lot of storylines written in the text, lots of cosmetic outfits, and festivals for players. In short, it's custom made for us "filthy casuals".

There are some outstanding storylines in that game.

But for raids and action packed stuff, not so much.

I have finally given Dominions 4 a break and have picked FTL and Guild Wars 2 back up to go along with my continuing Blood Bowl addiction.

i played it back in the beta and when it was subscription based.. I had to drop it around the time the first expansion came out (Mines of Moria i think it was?) due to financial reasons..

now, its probably changed a fair bit since then, but it was really good back then.. the classes were pretty well balanced (well, the two classes that first ep added were very OP, the Warden and Runemaster IIRC), the quest writing was really good for an MMO. the game heavily rewarded exploration through the Deeds mechanic. you got to see all the important locations and characters from Tolkeins work (extended lore as well, not just the stuff mentioned in the LOTR books). the crafting system was well executed (although, you could become the richest guy on the server in an evening by exploiting the crop farming mechanic). and it had an amazing Role Playing Community..

plus the level design was really well done as well.. i remember loving the look of Tom Bombadills house, and the Forsaken Inn.. and I will always remember that first time i entered Rivendell

do people actually PvP at all these days? I always remember the Ettenmoors being completely barren.. but i wondered if the move to F2P caused more people to do the PvMP

Ah Lotro, a very enjoyable game. I just love exploring every zone. They really worked out on the details, someone that I love in my MMOs, guess that does make us "filthy casuals"

I am still playing Jade Empire, almost finished.

not only was the level design in LOTRO done very well, but they rewarded seeing it because of the deed system, something not alot of MMOs had done prior.. if you decided to go explore the Area around Weather Top, or the Old Forest, or the North Downs, or even the Shire you were rewarded for it because you were earning Deed points for it..

so not only were you getting to explore the great world design and see some of your favorite locations within Middle-Earth, but you were actually being rewarded for it by gaining more Titles and Virtues for your character..

thats something a lot of devs could take lessons from, being it an MMO or not...

Hadn't played Diablo 3 in quite awhile (before the whole "Seasons" thing, I think). But the articles I saw about Patch 2.3 and Season 4 got me playing again the last few weeks. Got a wizard up to Paragon 105, greater rift 16, Torment I difficulty for bounties. Which is the highest I've had a D3 character - yeah, I'm an amateur.

Can probably manage T2 or 3 difficulty with a bit more grinding, but beyond that..... eh, I checked on a couple builds, and the whole "high level/pro game" thing just doesn't appeal to me. I see how perfectly tweaked these things are, with playstyles you need to run exactly right to manage at T6+.... doesn't seem fun. We'll see how much further I get. :) It's getting a bit repetitive at this point anyway.

...not sure what to play next. Probably want to avoid Fallout or TES, so that I'm not burnt out when FO4 gets here.

Not really. There is a small dedicated group of pvpers, but pvp was never really Turbine's thing. They are great at making PvE content, but not really PvP stuff.

Just started Pillars of Eternity a few days ago, a little over 6 hours in. I have to say I'm impressed with how drawn into the world I was. I was too young/a console gamer when Baldur's Gate and the like came out, so I wasn't really pushed by nostalgia, I just wanted to play a great RPG. And PoE is absolutely a great RPG so far. And yeah, I know, I've only hit the tip of the iceberg. Plenty more to go. I'm sure this, Afterbirth and Witcher 3 can hold me over until Fallout 4

I also got WWE 2K15 on PC via GMG for less than 10 bucks, so I'm playing that off and on. As a fan of wrestling I enjoyed the more simulation style gameplay. However the modes are severely lacking. The lack of match types as well. Most of the fun seems to be in just doing matches in Universe mode.

Still playing and Enjoying The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth a year after release. Just crossed 300 hours yesterday. What a game.

Considering picking up Elite: Dangerous, anyone have an opinion one way or another on it? Its 40% off on steam right now.
