So, what game are you playing to tide you over?

Post » Sun Nov 01, 2015 2:08 am

I just got Metro Redux on PS4 and so far am loving it. Just might fill the F4-shaped void for the next two weeks. Anyone else playing a similar post-apocalyptic game?

I've been playing a ton of shooters, since I haven't really played enough of them and I svck at them. So far I've gone through Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite, Half-Life 2, and I'm going through Borderlands but it's so damn grindy I might just put it down and replay Black Mesa.

I've been messing around on FO3 and FNV a bit. Forza 6 and Rocket League are killing some time also.

Half-Life 2 - great choice sir. One of my fave games ever. Funnily enough, Half-Life 3 was my second most anticipated game after F4... :D

I played through the MQ of FO3 two weeks ago, and then won cultural and science victories on Civ5. Now I'm probably going to get ahead on my 2015 reading goal so I don't fall behind due to the inevitable FO4 binge.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R is also a good open-world PC game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Cheap as chips on Steam as well

I loved W3, couldn't get enough of it. Right up until I got to a certain point... Then it just became a chore. I found myself rushing to get to the end, purely because the story really started to drag

Pretty much where I'm at right now. The whole fantasy thing is starting to get a little old too.

Assassin's Creed released a few days ago,

it's light 'popcorn' entertainment and perfectly clears my palate.

Dragon Age Inquisition, never did finish it so I've started a new character and its do or die this time. After that its back to Scholar of the First Sin for me...

I was playing Skyrim again. Put in a good 60 hours on a new character. Now I'm playing through Borderlands 2 again while playing Tales from the Borderlands. It's suitably mindless and fun, with a post-apocalyptic vibe.

I tried going back on Inquisition recently, but the dull side-quests just weren't doing anything for me so ended up trading it towards my F4 pre-order. Weird, I loved it when it first came out, and my Qunari mage :D

I've been playing Far Cry 4 for the past couple of weeks. This time, I'm going to grit my teeth and slog through those stupid Shangri-La missions and collect all 5 pieces of the thangka.
