What games are you playing?

Post » Tue Nov 09, 2010 1:45 pm

What games are you guys playing to pass the time until Skyrim comes out? I've personally been playing Morrowind and Oblivion over in anticipation, noticing all the things that I hope will be changed and know will be. I've also been playing the backstory for my new character in Skyrim, as a guerilla fighter against the Imperials. It's really more fun in Morrowind because I pick off guards from a fort with my daedric bow :celebration:. I'm also hoping to play The Old Republic if it comes out before November and Deus Ex: Human Revolution after it comes out.

Hmm, well I'm still playing Oblivion, with renewed interest since Skyrims announcement. I'm also going to be playing L.A. Noire, Portal 2, and also, because I haven't gotten around to it yet, Castlevania: Lord of Shadow. :P

Currently playing Shin Megami Tensei 2 and Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne. I love me some SMT. After them, I'll get busy with Persona 2, then play Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 9. I'm really digging up the old games lately...

I've also been getting the desire to start work on a 100% Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence file (Which is especially daunting because I svck at MGS), as well as playing through Persona 3 and 4 again.

I just bought Diablo II for the first time ever today. So far, I really like it. I think I'll be spending most of my time with that along with Morrowind here and there.

Starcraft II. I don't know why I let my friends talk me into buying it, but I got it and now I can't stop thinking about it. I never bought or played Starcraft or Brood War so i'm a complete noobie to this series but I actually feel like i want to play ladder matches (i only played custom games for Warcraft III and avoided the ladder). I'm going to finish the campaign first before I actually devote time to the ladder.

Besides that, i'm playing DotA (WC III custom game if you don't know about it), Call of Duty Black Ops (when my friends want to get a game of zombies going), and Europa Universalis III Chronicles.

Also, a few table top RPG's as well. :)

Europa Barbarorum mod for Rome: Total War right now. It likes crashing midway through or immediately after large battles, though. =/

D2 is the most addicting game ever.

I'm playing that, F3, and FNV.

Final Fantasy VII. Mostly to finally do some things I've always ended up skipping before. Not sure whether that'll include Emerald and Ruby Weapons though.

Also, a certain MMO closed beta that I'm not really supposed to be talking about (or so says the invite email). :ninja:

Why does everyone who makes a thread like this assume that I'm anxiously awaiting Skyrim?

Right now I'm playing Dawn of War, Dawn of War 2, Europa Barbarorum and X3: Terran Conflict.

A little bit of Uncharted 2 in my life, a little bit of Halo: ODST by my side. A little bit of Portal 2 is all I need, a little bit of Borderlands is what I see. A little bit of Half-Life 2 in the sun, a little bit of Alan Wake all night long. A little bit of Burnout: Paradise here I am.

I feel ridiculous...
