What ES Games have you played?

Believe it or not, I've never finished any mainquest... But I don't think that's a bad thing at all.

I've played Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion (couldn't get the Arena download to work on my computer). I beat Morrowind and Oblivion. I think Morrowind has been the best, and Skyrim will hopefully be better than it but I think it's gonna be the second best.

Just a quick poll to see what games people have played and how they think Skyrim will compare with all the information that we have now.

I expect Skyrim to be different as Oblivion and Morrowind were different.

I don't think a lot of folks played DF relative to the other games. I voted DF as the best and was also surprised at the low number. The only explanation is there aren't that many folks who played thru it....b/c most long time fans agree that it was the best in the series so far. I liked MW also, but all things considered, DF, for it's time, was revolutionary.

I've played Morrowind, but not very far. I've beaten Oblivions everything a million times. I think Skyrim will be better than both of them :)

All the games have things that i would change and that are great. I have played them all, and all are some of the best games i have played. IMHO best rpg franchise ever.

Because what this forum needs is more vs. threads about the games...

This ^^

Edit: I take that back. I see that there's little flaming in this thread after seven pages. That's impressive work guys.

Daggerfall was very good but had a lots of raw edges, lots of overpowered functions, lots of bugs. Fun thing is that it managed a better level scaling than Oblivion as it was more span in enemies, you could risk running into high level enemies at low level.
And yes the game was a revolution, more innovative than Morrowind actually even if not all the innovations worked very well.

I haven't played Daggerfall, but from what I've heard it had some pretty cool features. I hope they implement some of 'em in Skyrim.

Played Morrowind back when it was released, but I never finished it. I just liked doing the side quests and exploring the dungeons. I had both expansions, but only finished bloodmoon.

I didn't buy oblivion immediately, got it as a Bday present and thought I'd try it out. I was pretty much blown away from the moment I booted the game up. Finished the game and it's two expansions.

Bethesda is one of those companies that hasn't disappointed me yet, one of the few if I may say so. So I am pretty sure that Skyrim will be the best in the series.

Sadly, I've only played Morrowind and Oblivion, but I played both of them for hundreds of hours. I think Skyrim will be better than Oblivion, but it probably still won't be better than Morrowind.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised to see someone say that... but I still am. Morrowind had its time and I enjoyed it a lot, but last time I had a look a couple of months back it just didn't do much for me. I would hope Skyrim is a big improvement over that experience...

Arena was absolutely brilliant in its time and I finished it! I don't actually remember finishing morrowind. I have really enjoyed all the games I've played.

I laugh at the people who think Arena was the best :P

I've played them all but completed none of them. I know how they end though, so I can say well enough I know how things are stringed together. Morrowind was definitely the best because of how well it was able to make up for its technological shortcomings and deliver a really great and gigantic experience that never felt padded.

It's sad to see so very little Daggerfall love :( In my mind the definitive Elder Scrolls title so far. I doub't Skyrim will eclipse it in scope or longevity, but I'm open to pleasant surprises.

I've played all four of the main ES games. I've only had time to beat the main quest in Morrowind and Oblivion though. My favorite? Probably Oblivion, but maybe that's because I have fond memories of it the summer when I first played it. It introduced me to the series. I love all the games though. Except Arena, I couldn't get out Of the first dungeon because my game was skipping a lot so I never got to Play much of it...

hope Skyrim will be better than all four!

Arena, Daggerfall, Redguard, Battlespire, Morriwind, Oblivion

Well it's hard to decide which is the best Daggerfall, Morrowind, or Oblivon, but I vote Daggerfall.
Why?
Boobs

(Seriously, the simple addition of sixuality made Daggerfall feel more like a Fantasy Epic.)

I have played Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion. I would say the best game out of these three is Oblivion. Even though Morrowind introduced me to the series I never really finished the main quest line (I'm going to replay Morrowind before Skyrim comes out). For it would be Oblivion as my favorite ES game. :tes:

Oblivion was my first TES game and I've never really stopped playing it thanks to mods. I've tried to get started with MW but it just hasn't aged very well, I can never get very far into it before losing interest. I have very high hopes for Skyrim and can easily see it being my favorite game ever. :tes:

I played Arena, Daggerfall, Battlespire, Redguard, Morrowind and Oblivion.

Hard to say which I prefer but certainly regarding time spent playing, I would say I spent the most hours on Daggerfall, Oblivion and then Morrowind.
Daggerfall still holds the favourite spot in my heart though, even though I find it too dated to played nowadays.

I think Skyrim will become my favourite and am hoping it will have a longer replay value than the others, which have been impressive for replayability already.
