What ES Games have you played?

Played thru both main quests of Morrowind and Oblivion many times. Oblivion was prettier, Morrowind immersed me.

Hoping Skyrim has the best of both.

2. Morrowind, Daggerfall, Oblivion

3. Oblivion, Arena

4. Morrowind (Tribunal and Bloodmoon included)

I actually played Fallout 3 before Oblivion, and I could only get through like two hours of Morrowind. I played both FO3 and Oblivion on Xbox. I'm really looking forward to Skyrim and will pour huge segments of my life into it.

I dabble with Daggerfall every now and again, amazing game for its age, I've yet to complete the main Q.

So, so many hours experiencing Morrowind but only once finished the main Q, likewise Tribunal and Bloodmoon. Tribunal is my least favourite of the three but it still has a certain magic and I love the whole 'I killed a god'. 'We don't believe you'. 'But you're a game, you're supposed to celibate my very existence'. 'Haha, got ya!'. It makes for a great counterpoint to the Mw main Q, an effect that would be seriously diminished if Tribunal were a stand alone game.

Oblivion was 10 hours of fun followed by 10 hours realising that playing further was an absolute waste of my time so I stopped playing. I did spend a little time trying mods and quite some time creating mods but in the end I turned the game off and never played it again.

Skyrim. I wait and I watch but nothing I've seen confirmed so far leads me to believe it will be anything more than another dose of Oblivion. I voted: better than Oblivion but in my heart I'm expecting another combat simulator where the only way is Howard's way.

I think this game is gonna be ruined by stupid decisions to reach kids and casual gamers... So worst. Hope I'm proved wrong.

I had my first D&D session this last week and I'm currently playing fable 3 on Xbox. I think Skyrim will be somewhere in between and I'm really happy about that. I think people mix up 'casual' and 'fast-paced/concentrated' a lot. Skyrim will be fast-paced and concentrated compared to other TES games, but casual? Certainly not.

Uber graphics are fine, but they need to make this game have depth like morrowind. Its not all in the looks

Sorry that I didn't add Reguard, Battlespire, Shadowkey, etc. I just wanted to add the major ones. Again, I apologise for that.

Im going to say Skyrim will be the best TES game because it just seems like it takes the best from both worlds and improves it(Both worlds being Morrowind and Oblivion)

Played them all, though didn't play Arena too much (it's hard to get into a game so dated, and it's not as good as what came later anyway).

I've only beaten the main quest in Morrowind and Oblivion. I've put a lot of time into daggerfall but mostly just doing side stuff. And despite having put over 600 hours into morrowind I've only done the main quest once.. my priorities tend to be elsewhere.

I think Skyrim will easily be better than Arena, and more than likely better than Oblivion. I also think I'll personally like it more than I like daggerfall, but that might only be due to the age. And Morrowind holds strong as being my #1 favorite game of all time, I'd like it obviously if Skyrim were better, but it seems like that would be quite the challenge. I do hope, and expect, it will be damn good, however.

I've played some Arena but have never completed it. I've not played any Daggerfall sadly, and it's not hosted on the official website anymore so I'm not sure what to do about that.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Files is what you do about that. UESP has a pre-configured Daggerfall set up so you don't have to mess with DOSbox. It also has the same version that was up on ElderScrolls.com. Hope that helps :D

I've played the main entries in the series, Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion. I've only completed the main quests for the latter two but I'm working on Daggerfall. It's just so huge! My favorite of them all is Morrowind. Mostly for the quests/nostalgia. I think we can all agree the combat is pretty awful. I think (hope) Skyrim will be the best Elder Scrolls game yet. I can almost promise it will be better than Arena at the least.

I've played both Morrowind and Oblivion but I've only completed the main quest in Oblivion. In Morrowind I'm much too busy exploring to make progress in the main quest, or many side quests for that matter. Hopefully I'll be able to do the same in Skyrim.

For anyone who hasn't played Arena or Daggerfall, and missed out when Beth had them online here's some links that will make your day:

Both have integrated Dosbox wich make installing them and getting them to run much easier.

Daggerfall: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=A89P2JGJ

I've played Daggerfall for like 30 mins, but I'm gonna really play it when I finish MW's MQ, and Morag Tong, and Thieves Guild, and Mages Guild, and Telvanni's, and Temple. And Tamriel rebuilt and suran's underworld mods quests :D

I've played MW for much time, but I was always making new chars so I didn't advance much in it, lol... Oblivion too, but the only questline I remember of finishing was KOTN.

My favorite is MW by a long shot.

And I think Skyrim will be better than Oblivion, can't speak of DF and arena...

Don't get the point of these threads, honestly. They're all the same and will inevitably lead to Oblivion bashing and Morrowind worshiping. That seems to be the obvious trend on these forums.

I think Skyrim will be the best TES game, for the record.

I haven't heard any Oblivion bashing here. Don't know which topic you're reading.

Daggerfall first, so biased. It was huge and so effectively removed the sensation of "backyard exploration" compared to the sequels. Each time you played you'd end up in places you never heard of in the previous runs. It was infinitely larger than any other 3D game (although Realms of Arkania was bigger on a 2D travel map). Both in MW and OB all this was taken away. There is really no drive to replay game or even start it once you become too familiarized with the game. If Skyrim is about the same size as Oblivion, I don't doubt that what we will see will be fantastic, but it will be a densely packed dungeon hopping quest game with no sense of true exploration. It will also be among the smallest 3D worlds rather than unmatched.

Although I haven't played Daggerfall, I'm going to agree with you. Both Morrowind and Oblivion had small worlds with dungeons tightly placed near each other (Morrowind only felt big because the character moved slow). I mean if you compare the size of Oblivion's world (Skyrim will apparently be about the same size) to the size of a playable world in a game like Just Cause 2. Well...

PFFT WHERE IS STORMHOLD SHADOW KEY AND DAWNSTAR?

I've played them all except Redgaurd.

I'm not sure if you would want to play Redguard. It was decently entertaining when it's graphics were good, I don't think it would be enjoyable now. Battlespire would probably be still fun today though.

Wow. Finally a decent Poll worth responding to.
Thanks! :)

I've played them all, and finished all but Arena.
Morrowind is my favourite... and I'm keeping faith that Skyrim will be my second favourite.

(Morrowind only felt big because the character moved slow).

I have to disagree there.
Morrowind felt big because it was carefully planned to have diverse environments, landscapes and architecture. Oblivion felt much more generic no matter where you went.

Daggerfall was huge, of course, but random generated means lack of detail, IMO.
