What games should influence Skyrim?

I mean what aspects of a non-Elder Scroll game should Bethesda use? If you had to choose 3 aspects of different games, what would it be?

Rules: you cannot say "nothing"

Mine's:

Co-op from Borderlands
Multiple endings Soul calibur 3/Fallout style
Choose which faction to support like in Shadow the Hedgehog you could choose who you support

I think they were trying to be 'clever'... ;-)

Horses from RDR
Companions from ME2
Story from BG/BG2

Those would be the three influences I would like to see used.

Mount and Blade is a good inspiration for mounted combat, The Witcher is very good at storytelling and choices&consequences, Mass Effect has great dialogue.

What games should influence Skyrim? I don't care what the rules are. TES games should influence Skyrim and that's it.

Games that could influence Skyrim in a positive way is a different question.

To that, I'd say Demon's Souls. The combat, the atmosphere, the difficulty (though toned down a bit.)

I did like the sound design and art direction that cultivated a chilling atmosphere in Amnesia: the Dark Descent.

I hope there are a couple of Skyrim dungeons with a scary ambiance.

Thief series indeed, the greatest stealth ever
The loot should be as diverse as in Borderlands

As much random loot as Borderlands.

Being able to socket gear with gems for bonus stats, like WoW.
