Definitely female.
I even like the appearance of the default female so won't have to do much editing.
POW!
I always play a female character first in my Fallout playthroughs & fallout 4 will be no different.
Probably female because so far every demo has shown the male and I want to be different from the get go.
Male. Unless my fiancee lets me play more often if I create a female character based on her.
I've never had problems "identifying" with a character, male or female. I will be playing as a female mostly because I can, and I always do in games that allow such. There are so many games out there with male protagonists that female ones are a nice change of pace and besides, I like the differences.
Not sure which I'll start with first, but I'll end up playing both.
Being a Bethesda game I doubt there will be any real differences besides a few different pieces of dialog.
Doing male first so I can compare the male protagonist dialog compared to the female protagonist dialog on my second play through.
Female, so long as Black Widow is still a perk. If not, probably a male then.
- To clarify, there are usually way more men as raiders/killable NPCs than females so I take it as a tactical advantage.
Male. . .because I'm one
I may create my first female toon ever in a Fallout game this time around just for the different voiced protagonist.
Likely true, but considering the depth I've seen so far, I'm hopeful that there will be slightly more differences than that.
It would be nice. One of the actual differences that I remember is that one quest in Oblivion where that female gang of thieves would try and rob you if you were male or try and recruit you if you were female.
The female PC sounded much better in the little snippet we heard, so I'll probably try her first.
