I mean really? Skyrim was announced almost two months ago, the game informer coverage is over, international coverage has been out in italy/spain/france, and there's been a podcast with todd howard. It just seems weird to me that I'm still looking at the same black background that I've been looking at for two months now.

There's all this buzz right now for the game and with the gi coverage out there what about all the people that don't follow the game as closely as us? It seems like a bad move not to have the official site updated. People are going to be confused when they see all this info in these magazines and then go to the website and see not much at all...

Couldn't agree more. In fact, since the site should have been updated by now I'm expecting it any day. I'll be shocked if it doesn't happen in february.

The magazines got exclusives and the website won't update until that exclusive runs out. At least that is the usual. A bit more patience is all and they will get to it. And maybe a little extra if we are lucky. In the meantime the idea is to sell those magazines.

Is anyone else not able to connect to any of Bethesdas websites for like..30 minutes at a time randomly? It's like pulling teeth for me to get to these forums, and I'm on a very fast internet connection with no latency issues, and EVERY other website opens instantly yet it takes 30 minutes to connect to these forums and bethesda.com. -_-

Isn't game informers exclusive over? The mags been out for close to a month now.

Aaaaargh! These thread titles always draw me in thinking that something cool's been added to the Skyrim teaser page.

Not just GI, there is Xbox magazine, playstation magazine and several others.

Should be soon since game informer exclusive is up. I expected it to be up and fully running by now unless they are gonna wait until the trailer is released.

It makes sense to me to spread out the buzz so less devote follows of the series don't forget about it by November.

I have no clue how long those things last or if it exists but I'm betting it does. That said I would imagine it would continue until the next issue of Gameinformer hits the shelves at lease. And that isn't for a while yet. Mid month anyway. And who knows what the fine print says? I don't want to know.

Next issue of gi will be out in about a week. The op made a great point that shouldn't be overlooked. The gi world exclusive has created a big buzz now and the people who don't come to the forums and people who don't follow the game as closely as us might visit the site because their interests have been piqued. Odd that beth wouldn't want to capitalize off that even more and have an updated site. Some people might be confused or put off when they go to the website and not really see anything. Interest could be lost just as quick as it was gained.

Dragonborn1 is correct...the next gi should be out in a week with battlefield 3 as their world exclusive.

But there is more than just GI. The rest of the magazines need to be released as well, and then we will probably see an update on the website.

They botched GameInformer sales here in Oregon. I've been looking out for the magazine ever since I heard of the Skyrim exclusive on Game Informer and here we are with just about 1/3rd of February over with and no sign of that issue anywhere (and I've been looking all over the place).

But now I've read so much of the magazine content on the internet (from Game Informer's website) and the podcast and now I feel like there will be nothing new to read in the magazine if I ever do stumble across the issue.

No one said it was not a good point however the next issue will not hit the stands until the 14th or shortly thereafter. That is all I was pointing out. The website will be updated we just can't don't know when. (we=fans including me). And as word spreads via many social networks folks will return to see what is there.

And again, I am hoping when it's updated we will also have something new.

I went to fire up morrowind but all the official mods are gone - only official patches. Hopefully they all come back.

I wasn't here when oblivion was announced but I'm wondering do you know how that played out? Was the site down (or just a teaser) when the game was announced through gi? If it was how long was it from the time of the gi reveal until the first official update on the website?

I'm not sure how long it was between the oblivion gi reveal and the website update. I'm going to search around and see what I can find.

The GI exclusive may be done but I doubt the website will update until all the international mag's are released for at least a few weeks.

What I want to know, since I am missing something, when I go to elderscrolls.com, I get the stupid Skyrim video. I can't go to anywhere else, Morrowind, Oblivion or other TES games. So if someone who doesn't know anything about Skyrim and was told to go to elderscrolls, how can they even get to the forums? I have mine booked marked, but how do you go from elderscrolls.com? Is it not loading on my pc properly?

It is the 1st monday in March that is all.
I think that the last international magazine date is around the 14th of February so the 21st is 1 week and March 7th is 3 weeks after that release.
