What is a great vampire character in Skyrim.

What is a great vampire character to build on? (Shield and Sword, Heavy or Light armor, Dual-wield, very sneaky, and etc.)

On my new character in Skyrim, I basically want a vampire character. So I'm asking you guys for opinions and ideas, but here is the catch; no magic what so ever.

Easily spellsword due to the bonuses that Vampires get to Illusion and Necromage.

Vampire with a shield? one handed weapons and light armor only seems more reasonable.

No magic huh? In that case light armor for increased stealth and One-handed sword and shield for combat and defense.

Here's my two:

Lasombra

Male Dunmer, Vampire Lord, Assassin

Equipment:

Ebony Mail

Ancient Shrouded Gloves

Ebony Boots w/Muffle & Fire Resist.

Ebony Helmet with Archery & Waterbreathing ench.

Dual-wield Ebony Swords (One for Drain Health, one with Chaos Damage), Ebony Dagger with Soul Trap ench. Bow with Chaos ench. and Soul Trap.

_______________

Ashur Szyn

Male Dunmer, Vampire Lord, Mage

Equipment:

Telvanni Robes,

All other equipment is enchanted with a menagerie of Cost reduction, Magicka regen, Magicka buff, Fire resist. enchantments.

His Magick Skills are: Illusion 100, Conjuration 100, Destruction 100, Restoration 85, Alteration 73, Enchanting 100

Vampires can work in so many different roles that there isn't really one specialty. But going by Vampire buffs, something Sneaky like an Assassin/Thief that makes use of Illusion generally works best.

I use the vampire mob build. Made it up myself, Of course I am not the first. I know you said no magic but this is the funnest build I have ever done. Get Serana as your follower. You can equip weapons on her. So find a good unique weapon and give it to her. Next get 100 in conjuration and max out the Necromancy bonuses and the less costing perks for spells and then the 100 perk to summon 2 creatures at once. Next Get Undead Thrall ability for around 4k gold go find 2 MASTER VAMPIRE'S they are most powerful Vampire Type spawns in Skyrim. Next unsummon your thralls and take all there items off then click on them and STORE a powerful weapon like Molag Bals mace or Lord Harkons blade and so on and then put them on their corpses, Then revive them. They will be naked but once you fast travel somewhere they will equip the weapons you gave them and some vampire armor. With this you have 3 permanent super powerful vampires under your command and you can sit back and watch the show and if you like Spam Life drain on them or just self heal incase you get hit. I prefer to be a Highelf for extra magika. The vampire questline helps a lot also because of the +100 magicka ring. If you build your character right, You can put all your points into life and wont need any in magika because of gear. I am on PS3 but I am sure same on any system.

I use swords and shields with my vampire, as well as heavy armor. I have him as a knight that became a vampire, just because. No magic ever. I don't really use any of the powers either, except the night eye thing. Just do what you enjoy the most I guess.

Very rarely do I use any of the powers either except vampire seduction. The bonus to illusion and sneaking is more of a passive effect so I don't really count those. I mainly play vamps for their appearance and lore.

The only time I use that is to feed on the occasional encounter while traveling. So that's the only other power I do use, but its only here and there compared to the night eye. Being a vampire just gives my character an excuse to have red eyes and pale skin (through mods mainly), aside from the fact I've always had him a vampire way back before Skyrim came out.

Thief/ Assasin (Dark Brotherhood/ Thieves Guild)using sneak and primarily daggers is pretty fun. Especially as Vampires have invisibility and are 25% harder to detect while sneaking.

(Do powers and shouts count in your no magic rule?)
