What Gun Class Are You? (Guns Only)

Post » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:04 am

In terms of gun classes snipers. Love those bloody things. My favourite out of them would be the old scope-less bolt actions. Second has to be pump action shottys.

Sniper rifles all have scopes, it's the nature of the beast.

Gauss weapons kill by using kinetic energy.

All of those kill by piercing vital organs, kinetic energy is when something hits the body with extreme force to kill. There's a difference.

I like both pistols and rifle classes. When I'm wandering around the wastes, I like having a nice rifle slung over my shoulder in case I need to long distance sneak attack someone my three left hotkeys are the rat-slayer, the brush gun, and the Q35 Matter Modulator. But I love having the three unique pistols: Maria, Lucky, and the Mystery Magnum on my three right hot keys for clearing vaults, random building interiors, and just popping the little things that show up as hostile tick marks.

But I have recently obtained, and fully repaired the light machine gun earned while chopping to the top of black mountain on lvl 25 and it chews up a charging Deathclaw and has earned its spot on my down hotkey!

because the kinetic energy isnt the object colliding with the organs, transfering the kinetic energy into them, then the energy escapes by the simplest of means, tearing the organs in doing so. There is no difference.

My weapons of choice are the fully modded Hunting Rifle w/scope for Sniping. Hunting Shotgun for upclose and personal. Maria for tight areas like caves.

:sigh: Then I suppose you can look at it that way, but the Gauss Rifle also uses microfusion cells instead of gunpowder, which is another reason for it to be in the energy weapons category.

It used a 2mm Alluminum slug to do damage, the current system makes no sense, the originals had a system that made sense, the Gauss rifle used 2mmEC, a 2mm slug with a battery attached intead of gunpowder. This actually made sense instead of putting in power and shooting a slug from a magazine that never needs reloading.

So your main problem is that the gun never changes clips?

its that it makes no sense, it should be like how it was in the originals, a Guns weapon, using 2mmEC ammunition.

you left off mass murderer class, because given the typical Bodycount after a game . . .can you honestly say your not, even as a goodguy?

See, and that is the reason, why it is not classified as a gunpowder weapon. Easy, isn't it?
It's the Fallout 2 classification which made not much sense, other than allocating some kind of weapon to the Small Guns category to have something to keep up with the other classes.
A Gauss Gun is an Energy Weapon, get over it. It actively propels a projectile by the use of induction coils.
That is something completely different to the hammer-hits-primer-causes-gunpowder-explosion-behind-the-bullet-thing, and you should know that.
You're just not willing to invest into your EW skill, and want some cheap way to get one of the best weapons of that class without doing anything for it, naughty boy

I have two gun user characters that focus on different weapons, the "assassin" uses pistols, pump-action shotguns and rifles, while the "tank" uses everything automatic, including riot and (mod added AA-12) assault shotgun.

Personally i prefer sniper rifles. "You can't kill what you can't see." ;) Well, except maybe with Mercy (after all it reads "Hei Gui bye-bye") :bolt:

I said Sniper, using mostly 'PinPoint' not sure it thats a mod weapon or not, a little less power than a normal snipping rifle but silent
and a shotty for thoughts up close and personal actions, normally any thing better that the leaver shotgun
plus a pistol for small bugs and rats
